While in High School, Mick Foley was training for the upcoming Lacrosse season, and became enchanted with wrestling..
The Inspiration:
Mick Foley hitch-hiked to Madison Square Garden to see Jimmy Snuka leap from the top of the cage onto the prone Don Muraco..
Mick Foley's humiliation of being called "Frank" by a girl he liked, inspired Mick to create two home movies with his friends..
~~~Mick's first video, entitled "The Legend of Frank Foley", was a comedy, in which Mick was called "Frank" by his date..
~~~Then "Frank" attempts suicide, but is then nursed back to health, with the help of his friends..
~~~Mick's second video, entitled "The Loved One", was about a WWF wrestler named "Dude Love"..

Dave Meltzer wrote (On December 2, 2010): Mick Foley is interviewed by Jeff Katz for his GeekWeek.com web site. The two plus hour interview includes him saying that he doesn't see himself with TNA after his contract runs out in eight or nine months, noting he feels like it's like WCW where it's hard to know who is in charge, he was let down when the company decided against airing footage of his appearing at the Jon Stewart rally in Washington, DC, and that he gets hurt too much wrestling and there's only room for one non-wrestler to just cut promos and Hulk Hogan is the guy.
