In The Beginning: Mid-1977: Michael Hayes got his start in the wrestling business as a referee using his real name "Michael Seitz".. Michael Seitz also started wrestling under the name "Lord Michael Hayes" in Jackson, Mississippi.. The Fabulous Freebirds: Michael "PS" Hayes was a member of the legendary Fabulous Freebirds along with Terry Gordy & Buddy Roberts.. The Fabulous Freebirds - World Wrestling Federation: 1984: The Freebirds had a brief stint with the WWF where they were managed by Cindy Laupers boyfriend Dave Wolfe.. ~~~August 1984: The Freebirds (Hayes/Gordy/Roberts) make several appearance at WWF Madison Square Garden shows.. ~~~~~August 4, 1984: The Fabulous Freebirds vs Ron Shaw / Rene Goulet / Charlie Fulton.. ~~~~~August 24, 1984: The Fabulous Freebirds vs Pete Douerty / Ron Shaw / Butcher Vachon.. ~~~The WWF wanted the trio to split into singles wrestlers, they left the company and returned to World Class in Dallas.. The Fabulous Freebirds - World Class Championship Wrestling: September 28, 1985 - AWA SuperClash: The Road Warriors defeated Freebirds (Gordy/Hayes) to retain the AWA Tag titles.. February 17, 1991: The Freebirds (Hayes/Garvin/Baddstreet) beat Tommy Rich/Ricky Morton/Junk Yard Dog for the 6 Man Tag titles.. February 24, 1991 - WrestleWar: Michael Hayes/Jimmy Garvin beat Doom (Ron Simmons/Butch Reed) for the World Tag Team titles.. May 19, 1991 - SuperBrawl: Hayes/Jimmy Garvin beat The Young Guns (Smothers/Armstrong) to win the vacant US Tag titles.. The Freebirds broke up and Michael Hayes briefly managed the tag team of Arn Anderson and Bobby Eaton.. Michael Hayes later became a commentator until he left WCW.. World Wrestling Federation: 1995: Michael Hayes resurfaced in the WWF under the name Dok Hendrix, playing a heel commentator beside Vince McMahon.. Dok Hendrix made his Pay Per View announcing debut at the first ever In Your House show along with Vince McMahon.. Dok Hendrix's on-air duties consisted of commentating on WWF Superstars, weekend shows as well as International broadcasts.. Dok Hendrix also provided backstage interviews for Monday Night Raw and numerous monthly pay per views.. Dok Hendrix hosted the Free For All pre-PPV shows and occasionally filling in for RAW commentary.. April 29, 1999 - Smackdown! special: The Brood called Doc Hendrix by his real name and delivered a blood bath to him! Michael Hayes began managing The Hardy Boyz against The Brood, and also leading them to a brief Tag Team title run! ~~~Michael Hayes occassionally took part in Six-Man Tag matches against The Brood (Gangrel, Edge and Christian).. World Wrestling Entertainment - Road Agent & Creative Team Member WrestleMania X-7: Michael PS Hayes made his return to the ring participating in the 20 Man Gimmick Battle Royal.. 2002: Michael Hayes was a WWE Road Agent as well as a contributing booker and storyline writer.. November 13, 2003 - Smackdown!: Michael Hayes got into some trouble with WWE management.. ~~~During the day, he had been pushing for an angle with John Cena that everyone knew wouldn't work.. ~~~So he went over everybody else, straight to Vince McMahon, who he convinced that it was a good idea.. ~~~The angle occured, but was given such a bad reaction with the live crowd, that it was edited off the broadcast.. December 5, 2005 - RAW: Edge & Lita went on a verbal assault Ric Flair after Flair "backed out" due to some "legal advice".. ~~~Michael "PS" Hayes and Sgt. Slaughter came down and told Edge to cut the segment immediately and go backstage.. ~~~Edge got on Michael Hayes' case, implying that he couldn't do anything because his best friend, Terry Gordy, was DEAD! ~~~Michael Hayes then shot back saying Edge was only there because he was "banging Matt Hardy's ex girlfriend!".. ~~~~~A fight broke out and Edge ended up leaving Michael Hayes & Sgt. Slaughter laid out in the ring..... December 7, 2007--SmackDown!: MVP had "Freebird" Michael Hayes as a guest on the VIP Lounge to hype the WCCW DVD.. April 2008: Michael Hayes was suspended for 60-days for using a a racial slur (n-word) in front of SD! wrestler Mark Henry.. April 4, 2009--WWE Hall of Fame: The von Erich Family was officially inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by Michael Hayes.. June 28, 2010--RAW: Jerry Lawler and some other legends honored Ricky Steamboat and hyped the release of his new DVD.. ~~~The other legends in the ring consisted of Arn Anderson & Dean Malenko & Mike "IRS" Rotunda & Michael P.S. Hayes .. ~~~The Nexus showed up and attacked Ricky "The Dragon Steamboat" and physically destroyed him with all their finishers.
