October 29, 1995 - Halloween Havoc: Ric Flair was supposedly attacked by Arn Anderson & Brian Pillman, taking him out.. ~~~When it came time for the match, Sting came to the ring alone - and controlled the beginning of the match.. ~~~As time went on, Anderson & Pillman took control.... eventually Ric Flair came down with his head bandaged.. ~~~When Sting was able to get to his corner and make the tag, Flair entered the ring, ran off of the ropes and nailed STING!! ~~~Flair, Anderson, & Pillman triple-teamed Sting and raised FOUR fingers signifying the return of the FOUR HORSEMEN!!!!!!! February 11, 1996--Superbawl VI: "Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan defeated Brian Pillman in a respect match.. ~~~They whipped eachother for roughly 45 seconds before Pillman grabbed the microphone and yelled "I Respect You!" ~~~~~~~This was supposedly a shoot, with Brian Pillman pushing his "Loose Cannon" gimmick to a whole new level.. Brian Pillman convinced WCW president Eric Bischoff to fire him, to make the gimmick more 'believable' and Bischoff did it! It was all Brian's plan to get out of his WCW contract so he could sign with the World Wrestling Federation.. April 15, 1996: Brian Pillman almost died in a near fatal car accident..... ~~~Pillman was driving in Kentucky and fell asleep behind the wheel causing him to hit a tree trunk and flip his vehicle.. Extreme Championship Wrestling Brian Pillman had a brief stint in ECW making several appearances to cut promos and perfect his "Loose Cannon" gimmick.. World Wrestling Federation 1996: Brian Pillman signed a contract with the WWF, where they really pushed his "Loose Cannaon" gimmick.. ~~~Supposedly he had convinced WCW to release him to make an angle seem more real just so he could go to WWF.. Brian Pillman debuted as an on-air personality, in crutches, still recovering from his injuries sustained in the accident.. Alexis Michelle Reed aka Alexis Pillman ("Sexi" Lexi Pillman) Alexis Michelle Reed was the step-daughter of Brian Pillman - and she took his last name.. Dory Funk Jr. wrote (Funk's Corner): Brian Pillman played collegiate football at the University of Miami. In 1984, he made his pro debut with the Cincinnati Bengal Tigers of the NFL. Following that, he went on to play briefly in the Canadian Football League with the Calgary Stampede. Brian didn't like taking orders and the strict discipline associated with playing football. Brian had always been interested in professional wrestling. He told his friend Bruce Hart (of the famous wrestling Hart family) that he had watched Terry and I while growing up and would like to give professional wrestling a try. Brian learned to wrestle training in the Dungeon, The Basement of Stu Harts home in Calgary Alberta with Stu and the Hart family. This is a place that the weak and faint of heart dare not tread. He began his wrestling career in Calgary Stampede Wrestling, Stu Hart's promotion. Brian went on to World Championship Wrestling and finished his career wrestling for Vince McMahon in the WWF. He was often called Flyin' Brian Pillman. The name was appropriate for his style in the ring, flying skills in airplanes and daredevil escapades including skydiving. Brian was a great performer in the wrestling business. We will all miss him. He was 36 years old. With the passing of Brian, we all lose many years of wrestling entertainment yet to come, wrestling skills unknown and interviews un-given. We also lose a good man who cared about family and friends. Brian was one hell of a wrestler who gave the fans his best, even more than their money's worth.
