In the Beginning Booker Huffman and his real life brother Stevie Ray, debuted in the WWA.. Booker Huffman was arrested for aiding in a robbery of the Wendy's he was working at during the time.. Global Wrestling Federation Early 1990s: The Ebony Experience (Booker & Stevie Ray) gained popularity after moving to the Global Wrestling Federation.. July 1992: The Ebony Experience defeated Gary Young and Stevie Dane for the GWF Tag Team titles.. ~~~Two weeks later, they lost the titles to the Blackbirds (Action Jackson & King Parsons).. August 1992: The Ebony Experience recaptured the GWF Tag titles but dropped them to Johnny Mantrell & Black Bart.. Bobby (Booker T) then took some time off for a knee injury.. The Ebony Experience defeated the Bad Breed to become the first 3-time GWF Tag-Team Champions.. The Ebony Experience lost the titles to the Sicilian Stallions a few months later.. Booker had a brief singles run using the "G.I. Bro" gimmick, which he used years later in WCW.. Valerie Allen wrote (On August 2008): Hi, I'd like to share a little known tidbit about Ebony Experience. I played the "sister" to the two brothers while they were with the GWF in the early '90s. My character's name was "Tawanda". I only did a few shows with them, but it was a blast. I work in the legal system now as a court reporter in a felony district court in Fort Worth, Texas. Grey Pierson was one of the promoters at the time. I still keep in touch with him. He's a lawyer in Arlington, Texas. World Championship Wrestling - Harlem Heat Originally, WCW wanted the brothers to be led to the ring on chains by their "owner" Col. Parker... ~~~Fortunately the idea was quickly scrapped and they debuted in WCW as Harlem Heat - Kane and Kole.. Eventually they dropped those names and became "Booker T" & "Stevie Ray".. Fall Brawl 1993: Sting/Smith/Rhodes/Shockmaster def Sid/Vader/Harlem Heat in a War Games match.. December 1994: Harlem Heat defeated Stars'n'Stripes to win their first WCW World Tag Team titles.. ~~~Five months later they lost the titles to the Nasty Boys.. Harlem Heat defeated the Nasty Boys to recapture the Tag Titles.. Harlem Heat were defeated by Bunkhouse Buck & Dick Slater for the Tag titles.. Harlem Heat rebounded winning back the titles from Buck & Slater.. Harlem Heat dropped the titles to the American Males after a one-day title reign.. Harlem Heat recaptured the Tag titles by defeating the American Males a week later.. Harlem Heat eventually lost the titles to the Outsiders, and Stevie Ray went down with an injury.. Booker T injured his knee in a match with Bret "The Hitman" Hart and subsequently had surgery done. World Championship Wrestling - Harlem Heat II 1999: Booker T reunited with Stevie Ray as Harlem Heat.. Harlem Heat defeat The Triad to win the Tag Team titles for the 8th time! Booker T lost in the first round of the World Title Tournament, to Jeff Jarrett.. Booker was then named the #1 Contender for the US belt, and began a feud with Scott Hall.. Harlem Heat eventually broke up again, and this time they started a feud.. Stevie Ray recruited Big T (Ahmed Johnson) and formed Harlem Heat 2000.. Harlem Heat 2000 got a lawyer and a court order saying Booker could not use the letter "T".. Uncensored 2000: Booker & Billy Kidman defeated Harlem Heat 2000.. Spring Stampede 2000: Booker was defeated by Sting in the first round of the US Title Tournament.. World Championship Wrestling - Main Eventer Booker then got involved with a group of wrestlers who called themselves "Misfits in Action".. ~~~Included Hugh Morrus (Captain E. Rection), Lash LaRoux (Cpl Cajun), Chavo Guerrero Jr (Lt Loco), and Van Hammer (Major Stash).. Eric Bischoff ended up "firing" Booker due to his defiance towards management.. Booker then reappeared in camoflauge, calling himself "G.I. Bro", the gimmick he used 8 years ago in GWF! Great American Bash 2000: Booker defeated Shawn Stasiak in a "boot camp" match.. Bash at the Beach 2000: Kanyon defeated Booker after interference from Jeff Jarrett.. ~~~Later that night, in a bizare twist of fate, Booker defeated Jarrett to win the WCW World title! Booker lost the title a few months later to Scott Steiner in a "Straight Jacket" match.. Booker then took some more time off to repair some injuries..
