NXT Champion Finn Bálor and challenger Adam Cole are shown on split screen arriving to the Capitol Wrestling Center. NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai and challenger Toni Storm are also shown arriving on split screen.
NXT General Manager William Regal is in the ring. Regal announces NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver will take place over two nights the weekend of WrestleMania!
Regal calls Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez into the ring. As the winners of the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Cup, they were robbed by the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions last week. It was an injustice and he is tired of waiting for others to make decisions for him, so he’s making them the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions! Regal reveals the new belts.
Kai says it was an injustice, but they beat them all. They dominated the division so much so they had to create these NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships for them. Gonzalez says this is the first step to taking over the entire world. They’ll carry these championships for a very long time.
Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon want to be the first to congratulate them. They get in the ring and sarcastically say this is a great achievement for them. If we’re going to have champions, we need challengers. In the Dusty Cup tournament, each team beat the teams in their brackets. They need to defend the titles against them… tonight! Regal agrees and announces a third championship match for tonight.
NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai makes her way to the ring for her title defense, which is next.

NXT Women’s Championship
Io Shirai (c) vs. Toni Storm
The two women lock up, and Shirai backs Storm into the ropes before giving a clean break. They lock up again. Storm backs Shirai into the ropes and slaps her in the face. Shirai tackles Storm and punches away at her. Storm turns her over and punches away at her. Shirai turns her over and kicks her away. Storm quickly takes her down and hits a hip attack to the face in the corner. Storm goes for a baseball slide, but Shirai forearms her back. Shirai stomps Storm in the corner and hits a slingshot double knee to the sternum. Shirai kicks her and connects with some chops. Shirai hits the ropes, but Storm follows her in. Shirai bends under a big boot and takes her down before hitting a low dropkick to the face. Shirai bounces her in the corner and stomps her down. Shirai twists the arm and floats into an octopus stretch. Shirai really cinches it in and digs an elbow into the ribs. Shirai lets go and clubs the back. Shirai chops Storm to the corner, but has a whip to the opposite corner reversed. Storm charges, but Shirai drops her on the apron and knocks her to the floor. Shirai gets on the apron and goes for a springboard, but Storm pulls her down to ringside. Storm then throws her into the ring steps.
-Commercial Break-
We come back from the break to see Shirai hit two shoulder blocks and a flapjack. Shirai connects with a tiger feint kick followed by a springboard dropkick for a near fall. Shirai applies a waistlock, but Storm gets out. Shirai quickly takes her down and hits a double stomp to the midsection. Shirai goes to the top rope, but Storm cuts her off. Storm punches her and connects with a superplex.
Both women are down. Storm gets up and hits a low clothesline followed by a bridging German Suplex for a near fall. Shirai fights back, but Storm knocks her back. Shirai bends under a clothesline, but Storm drops an elbow on her. Storm then attacks her and knocks her to the apron. Storm gets on the apron and goes for Storm Zero, but Shirai hits a back body drop. Shirai goes to the top rope and hits a beautiful moonsault block to the floor!
Shirai gets Storm in the ring and goes to the top rope. Storm cuts her off and hits a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall. Storm cannot believe it. Storm sets up for Storm Zero, but Shirai gets out with some palm strikes. Shirai goes for a crossface, but Storm quickly gets to the bottom rope to get out of the hold. Shirai steps on Storm and goes to the top rope for her Over the Moonsault, but Storm moves! Storm immediately follows up with Storm Zero… but Shirai kicks out! Storm takes Shirai back down and goes to the top rope for a diving head-butt, but Shirai moves! Shirai applies the crossface… and Storm taps out!
Winner by Submission and still NXT Women’s Champion: Io Shirai
NXT Champion Finn Bálor says he and Adam Cole are the biggest names in NXT history. Tonight there will be no blindsides or anyone to protect Cole. Bálor beat him for the title and will do it again.
-Commercial Break-
LA Knight is backstage with McKenzie Mitchell. Knight says everyone was wrong about him having his debut last week. Next week will be the time. Bronson Reed grabs him by the throat and takes him down. Referees quickly separate them.
Jake Atlas vs. Pete Dunne w/ Lorcan and Burch
They lock up, and Dunne quickly wrenches the arm. Atlas does a cartwheel to reverse the pressure. Dunne quickly grabs him and applies a hammerlock before taking him down. Dunne also bends the fingers back for good measure. Atlas quickly counters out and hits an arm drag. Dunne quickly takes him down and cinches in a side headlock. Atlas whips him off, leapfrogs him, and hits a hurricanrana. Atlas charges, but Dunne puts him on the apron. Atlas knocks him back and hits a springboard arm drag. Atlas goes for a handspring head-scissor, but Dunne holds him up and viciously kicks him in the ribs. Dunne attacks the elbow and wrenches the neck. Dunne then bends the arm back and manipulates the wrist. Dunne then sets the arm up and hits an arm breaker. Dunne kicks him in the back of the arm and slaps him in the face. Atlas manages to fight back a bit and gets out of a submission. Atlas hits a German Suplex, kicks him in the face, and hits a standing moonsault for a near fall. Atlas goes for a tornado DDT, but Dunne gets out. Atlas quickly clotheslines him down and goes to the top rope. Atlas goes for a cartwheel DDT, but Dunne kicks the arm out. Dunne steps on the one arm and stomps on the head a few times. Dunne manipulates the joints and pulls back on the arms. Atlas submits.

Pete Dunne says this is the time of year that everyone wants to step up, but this is what happens. Dunne is the best technical wrestler in the world and dares anyone to prove him wrong.
Imperium is backstage. Marcel Barthel tells Timothy Thatcher to join them. Fabian Aichner says they’ll make it work with Tommaso Ciampa out of respect for Thatcher. They’re taking over no matter what.
The first ever defense of the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships takes place, next.

NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship
Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez (c’s) vs. Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon
The bell rings, and Raquel Gonzalez charges Ember Moon, but Moon dropkicks her. Dakota Kai and Shotzi Blackheart tag in. Blackheart quickly takes Kai down and applies a cloverleaf. Kai screams in pain and tries to crawl to the bottom rope, but Blackheart drags her to the center of the ring. Kai screams some more. She’s been locked in the cloverleaf for a while. Kai inches to the bottom rope and gets the rope break. Kai quickly ducks a kick, but they both wipe each other out with a double big boot.
-Commercial Break-
We come back from the break to see Gonzalez slam Kai onto Blackheart for a near fall. Kai applies a grounded abdominal stretch and pulls the hair. Blackheart gets out with a roll-up for a two count. Kai takes her down, but Blackheart gets out of a DDT. Blackheart connects with a step-up enzuigiri.
Moon tags in and knocks Gonzalez off the apron. Moon hits a pair of clotheslines and slams Kai. Moon hits a senton splash before booting her down. Moon hits a sloppy flatliner/double knee combo. Moon avoids interference from Gonzalez and hits a flying double knee facebuster. Kai and Gonzalez are outside recovering. Blackheart hits them with a suicide dive. Moon bounces Kai off the apron and puts her in the ring. Moon rolls Kai up for a two count. Kai boots her back and pulls her face-first into the turnbuckle. Kai hits a running big boot in the corner. Gonzalez tags in and lifts Moon up. Gonzalez and Kai hit double-team toss into a kick for a near fall. Gonzalez flips out in frustration.
Gonzalez knees away at Moon and puts her in a vicious torture rack before transitioning into a big slam. Gonzalez covers, but Blackheart breaks up the pin. Blackheart quickly runs away before Gonzalez can attack. Kai tags in and accidentally knocks into Gonzalez. Blackheart tags in and hits a diving cross-body block on Gonzalez and Kai. Blackheart hits Gonzalez with a nice hurricanrana before kneeing Kai. Blackheart kicks away at Kai before hitting a back suplex for a near fall. Moon tags in as Blackheart hits Kai with a splash against the ropes. Moon knocks Kai back and splashes her for a near fall. Blackheart tags in. Moon knees Kai. Blackheart and Moon hit a double-team whipping powerbomb. Gonzalez breaks up the hold and chokes Blackheart. Blackheart gets out with a jawbreaker. Moon goes for an Eclipse on Gonzalez, but Gonzalez powers her up. Moon goes for a hurricanrana, but Gonzalez keeps her up and bends her over the ropes. Blackheart knocks into Gonzalez to knock her out of the ring. Blackheart then rolls Kai up for the win! New champs!
Winners by Pinfall and new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions: Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon
Adam Cole is backstage. Undisputed ERA is dead when he says it’s dead. Cole just dropped the dead weight. It’s always been about the NXT Championship. People think Bálor is the greatest NXT Champion of all time. If they thought Cole’s first reign was special, the next one will be better.
Xia Li will be in action, next.
-Commercial Break-
New NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon are backstage. The NXT women’s roster clap for them… except Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell. Johnny Gargano comes up with Austin Theory. Gargano says he got Theory the best therapist, but now he knows how Dexter feels about him. Theory starts to cry, but then says he’s mad. Gargano says Dexter said Theory is annoying and can’t dress himself. Theory rips his shirt off and says he’s crossed the line.

Kayden Carter vs. Xia Li w/ Boa and Tian Sha
Carter dropkicks her to start the match. Carter attacks, but Li blocks a kick and elbows her down. Li viciously attacks her on the mat. Carter pops up and hits some clotheslines followed by a club to the back. Li counters a whip, but Carter catches her with a roll-up and a kick to the face. Carter charges and hits a boot to the face for a near fall. Li is against the ropes, so the referee backs Carter up. Li kicks Carter in the knee.
Kacy Catanzaro comes down to ringside on crutches to root for Carter. Li viciously attacks the knee of Carter and sends her hard into the corner. Catanzaro has a torn LCL. Li continues to attack the knee of Carter before looking at Catanzaro. Catanzaro then hits Li with her crutch.
Winner by Disqualification: Xia Li
Catanzaro hits her with the crutch again and gets in the ring. Catanzaro says Li took it too far and hits her with the crutch some more. Boa gets in the ring and grabs the crutch before breaking it. Tian Sha raises her arm, but Carter hits Boa in the back with the crutch. Carter and Catanzaro escape.
NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin says it would be a shame for the real champion to not be at NXT TakeOver. Devlin says his travel ban got lifted today, so Santos Escobar’s time of playing make believe is over. Devlin will be on NXT next week and we’ll find out who the real NXT Cruiserweight Champion is. Devlin shows the plane he’s about to board.

Video: Zoey Stark is putting every woman in NXT on notice
NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar is arguing with NXT General Manager William Regal about Jordan Devlin appearing on NXT next week. Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde say their music is playing. Escobar tells them to go without him because he has to do business with Regal.
The Grizzled Young Veterans come out. Zack Gibson and James Drake say Mendoza and Wilde are just puppets to Escobar. They’ll take them out.
Tag Team Match
Legado del Fantasma (Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde) vs. Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake)
Zack Gibson starts against Raul Mendoza. Mendoza applies a side headlock, but Gibson hits a back suplex. James Drake tags in, but Mendoza hits him with a hurricanrana followed by a dropkick to Gibson. Wilde tags in as Mendoza kicks Drake. Wilde hits Gibson with a dropkick before hitting a double-team splash on Drake for a two count.
All of a sudden, two guys dressed as astronauts make their way to the ring. Drake hits Wilde with an enzuigiri. The astronauts are MSK. Wilde rolls Drake up for the win.
Winners by Pinfall: Legado del Fantasma
MSK attack Gibson and Drake with their astronaut helmets. Wes Lee smashes Drakes hand with the helmet. Breezango then return to attack Legado del Fantasma. Fandango hits Wilde with a falcon arrow. MSK celebrates with Breezango in the ring. Nash Carter and Lee are pumped.
McKenzie Mitchell is backstage with Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez. They’re furious over losing the titles, but it doesn’t matter because they’ll always be the first champions. NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai walks up and says she wants Gonzalez next. Gonzalez tells her to be careful what she wishes for.
The NXT Championship is on the line, next.
-Commercial Break-
McKenzie Mitchell is backstage with Timothy Thatcher asking about Imperium’s offer. Tommaso Ciampa comes up and says he’s not interested in joining. They’re against Imperium. Ciampa suggests they face Imperium next week. Thatcher never says anything.
Dexter Lumis faces Austin Theory next week. We’ll also see Isaiah “Swerve” Scott take on Leon Ruff. Finally, LA Knight will make his in ring debut.
NXT Championship
Adam Cole vs. Finn Bálor (c)
The bell rings, and the NXT Championship match begins. They lock up, and Bálor applies a side headlock. Cole whips him off, but Bálor shoulder blocks him down for a no count. Cole shoulder blocks him down, but Bálor kicks out with no count. They trade headlock takeovers. Bálor cinches his headlock in and pulls back. Cole rolls him over for a two count. Bálor keeps the headlock applied. Cole fights up to his feet, but Bálor holds the headlock on. Cole nearly breaks out, but Bálor puts it back on. Cole attacks the knee of Bálor and cinches in a hammerlock. Cole applies a side headlock. Bálor tries to whip him off, but Cole hangs onto the headlock. Bálor lifts him up, and they take each other down. Cole teases a superkick, and Bálor backs up.
-Commercial Break-
We come back from the break to see Cole stomping Bálor down in the corner. Cole has a whip reversed, but he comes back with a sunset flip. Bálor rolls through and dropkicks Cole in the face. Bálor applies a head and arm submission. Cole fights up and knees Bálor in the midsection. Cole hits the ropes, but Bálor connects with a back elbow. Bálor approaches Cole, but Cole pulls him out of the ring. Bálor gets back on the apron, but Cole kicks him down. Cole gets out of the ring and sends Bálor into the plexiglass at ringside. Cole gets Bálor in the ring and whips him hard into the corner. Bálor collapses in the corner. Cole sends him to the corner, but Bálor pops out with a dropkick to the knee.
Bálor attacks Cole and viciously chops the chest. Bálor hits a knee breaker and goes for a single leg submission. Cole fights it, so Bálor hits a double stomp to the midsection. Bálor grabs the leg, but Cole counters into an enzuigiri. Cole lifts Bálor up, but Bálor hits a reverse headlock elbow drop for a near fall. Bálor holds his lower back in pain. Bálor continues to attack, but Cole stuns him with a pump kick. Cole knocks the top half of the steel steps off and rolls in the ring to break the count-out. Cole grabs Bálor for a suplex, but Bálor counters into a suplex on the metal ramp!
-Commercial Break-
We come back from the final break of the evening to see Cole and Bálor trading punches. Cole hits a pump kick, but Bálor comes back with an overhead kick. Cole quickly hits a brainbuster over the knee for a near fall.
Cole goes to the second rope and jumps for Panama Sunrise, but Bálor moves. Bálor hits a Sling Blade before connecting with a Woo Dropkick. Bálor goes to the top rope for the Coup de Grâce, but Cole moves. Cole superkicks Bálor in his damaged jaw, but Bálor kicks out. Cole applies a crossface submission to Bálor. Bálor crawls to the bottom rope, but Cole pulls him back to the center of the ring. Bálor twists out and goes for a submission, but Cole fights it and reapplies the crossface. Bálor screams in pain but makes it to the bottom rope to break the hold.
Cole stomps away at Bálor before stumbling back. Bálor quickly takes him down and punches away at him. Bálor gets to his feet and turns Cole inside out with a clothesline. Bálor goes for a Reverse 1916, but Cole counters out and hits the Last Shot… but Bálor kicks out! Cole goes to the second rope and sizes Bálor up. Cole connects with Panama Sunrise for another near fall. Cole is stunned. Cole grabs Bálor, but Bálor manages to send him over the top rope.
Cole pulls himself up on the barricade and sees Kyle O’Reilly walking near him. O’Reilly looks infuriated. Bálor wipes out Cole with a summersault senton followed by 1916 on the floor! Bálor gets Cole in the ring and hits the Coup de Grâce for the win.
Winner by Pinfall and still NXT Champion: Finn Bálor
O’Reilly comes over the barricade and looks at Cole before approaching Bálor. Bálor invites O’Reilly into the ring to get Cole. O’Reilly gets in the ring, and Cole starts to beg him off. Cole goes for a low blow, but O’Reilly blocks it. O’Reilly kicks him in the face and punches away at Cole. The referee pulls O’Reilly away. O’Reilly grabs Cole’s hair as he tries to escape. Cole punches him away and runs, but O’Reilly catches him on the ramp. O’Reilly punches the referee away and sends Cole into the plexiglass twice. O’Reilly shouts at Cole for trying to end his career. O’Reilly goes to slam Cole on the steel steps, but referees run down to save him. Cole retreats up the ramp, but O’Reilly tackles him down. Referees hold O’Reilly back as Cole escapes. O’Reilly chases him to the back.
NXT Champion Finn Bálor is in the ring watching everything happening. Bálor looks over his shoulder and says, “What took you so long?” Karrion Kross is standing over his shoulder. They go face-to-face as the show ends.
