The NXT intro takes us to a packed crowd at Full Sail chanting “NXT” as commentary hypes the Fatal 4-Way #1 Contender Match in our main event. Back at ringside, Street Profits make their way to the ring for the opening match of the night! Already in the ring are their opponents, Chris Star and Riley Apex, and the bell rings to get this match underway!
Tag Team Match
The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) vs. Kris Starr and Riley Apex
Ford starts things off with a flex-off and a lockup, grabbing a headlock and hitting a blind double leapfrog followed by a hard scoop slam, tagging in Dawkins and doing a double team as “JBL” (thank you Nigel) tags in, only to take a lariat by Dawkins! Dawkins knocks “not JBL” out of the ring, before hitting a spinning stinger splash on “JBL” followed by a pop-up spinebuster. Tag to Ford, who climbs up top to hit a beautiful frog splash for the win!
Winners via pinfall: The Street Profits
Street Profits celebrate in the ring as we get replays from the match. They continue to celebrate in the crowd, and have microphones in hand as Ford says that in 2017, they came and they saw…Dawkins says that in 2018, they will conquer. They then run down the Authors of Pain, SAnitY, and Undisputed ERA, promising that they’re coming for the titles in 2018. Commentary hypes the main event, the Fatal 4-Way #1 Contender Match, as well as the NXT Women’s Championship match as Ember Moon defends against Sonya Deville…and that is coming up next!

Ember nods as though in agreement, when suddenly Shayna Baszler sneaks up behind Sane with a rear naked choke that knocks Sane out! Officials come out to break up the fracas, as Baszler stands tall over Sane before turning her attention to Ember Moon. She walks off, leaving the officials to check on San as we go backstage, where the Authors of Pain are standing by with Paul Ellering. Ellering talks about the Authors of Pain defining NXT history from the day they came in…and along comes War Games, and another team thinks they have the pen of creativity. Undisputed ERA will not write the next chapter, that shall be written by the Authors of Pain and it starts like this…this is our house, we are the law, we are the judge, the jury, and the executioner…and you are on borrowed time.
Christy St. Cloud catches up with Ember Moon, who talks about the target on her back from winning the NXT Women’s Championship. It doesn’t matter if it’s Kairi or Shayna Baszler, but if they want to make a statement they need to step into the ring next time. With that, she walks off as commentary hypes the Fatal 4-Way #1 Contender Match coming up next!
