Welcome to our WrestlingINC.com NXT coverage. This show serves as the go-home for the Finn Balor vs. Kevin Owens championship match this Saturday.
The Vaudevillians vs. Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder
The VV’s find early success against Dawson, before he and Wilder manage to cut Gotch off in the ring. Dawson is aggressive, but English gets a hot tag and takes down both opponents. An atomic drop and a big boot sets up their finish for the win.
Winners: The Vaudevillians via pinfall
– We see Becky Lynch backstage who says she sprained a hip flexor during her Takeover match. She’ll be out for a few weeks.
Baron Corbin vs. Tucker Knight
End of Days. Pin.
Winner: Baron Corbin via pinfall (End of Days)
– We see Enzo & Cass and the VaudeVillians backstage arguing in William Regal‘s office. Regal makes a number one contender’s match between them or next week.
– We see part 3 of the awesome Finn Balor special. This is a must watch. It is up in full on the WWE Network.
– Clips are shown from earlier in the day of Eva Marie being evaluated by Sara Del Rey and William Regal.
Emma (W/ Dana Brooke) vs. Carmella
Carmella applies a headlock, then a headscissors takedown, followed by a clothesline. Emma pulls the hair of Carmella, slamming her to the mat before applying a body scissors. Carmella fights back and hits a series of shoulderblocks before booting Emma in the head. Emma ends up applying the Emma Lock and Carmella has to tap.
Winner: Emma via submission (Emma Lock)
– Bull Dempsey is about to put a chair through a vending machine, but Regal stops him.
– Jason Jordan is frustrated about his recent string of tag team losses. Chad Gable once again offers his services….as a tag partner.
Tyler Breeze vs. Tye Dillinger
Dillinger takes control early with strikes and mocks Breeze before a couple of 2 counts. Dillinger body slams Breeze to the mat, which draws “10” chants from the crowd. Breeze hits a neckbreaker and a hurricanrana, however. The Beauty Shot finishes it off.
Winner: Tyler Breeze via pinfall (Beauty Mark)
– Dana and Emma are backstage when Sasha is supposed to be interviewed. She offers to fight both of them, and says she’ll find a partner.
– Main event time!
Samoa Joe & Finn Balor vs. Rhyno & Kevin Owens
Joe attacks Rhyno early and tags to Balor, who dropkicks Rhyno. Unfortunately for Balor, he’s driven back first into the corner where Owens beats him down. Rhino continues the assault as we go to our final commercial break.
We come back to see Rhyno hit a great delayed vertical suplex on Balor, where he squats several times while doing it. Owens is tagged in and applies a headlock, which gets “headlock city” chants. A five knuckle shuffle connects, but Balor busts out of an AA attempt to tag Joe.
Joe and Rhyno are in, and Joe dominates until Owens distracts, allowing Rhyno to hit a spinebuster. Owens tags in, eats an uranage, but Owens hits him with a pop up powerbomb. Balro answers with a Pele kick, and Rhyno accidentally Gores Owens. Balor with the Coup de Grace for the win.
Winner: Finn Balor & Samoa Joe via pinfall (Coup de Grace)
