Matt Striker + WWE Pros (Zack Ryder & Mark Henry & Lay-Cool & Cody Rhodes & Kofi Kingston & Mike “The Miz” Mizanin & John Morrison & Montel Vontavious Porter) + NXT Rookies (Husky Harris & Alex Riley & Kaval & Eli Cottonwood & Percy Watson & “Lucky” Cannon & Michael McGillicutty): Matt introduced everyone and ran down the premise of the show and all the important stuff like usual. Matt welcomed the WWE Pros and they took their spots on stage. Matt thanked the pros for joining them and asked for some insight from their pros panel. Matt asked Zack his thoughts on the poll. Zack wanted to know who voted Titus as last and said Titus had it all. Zack said Titus was robbed and everyone knows it. Matt asked John Morrison what he would have done differently on the pros poll. John thought it was cool that the fans get some input on the poll. John didn’t think Titus deserved to be last, he would have voted off Miz. Matt introduced the 7 remaining NXT Rookies. There was a podium in the ring. Matt said the competition was getting to the rookies. Matt asked Husky what he needed to do to stay in the competition. Husky said he was dangerous and asked if Matt thought he deserved to be 7. He was super creepy. Matt asked Riley if he thought he should have been ranked higher. Alex asked if being ranked 4 was a joke and didn’t think Kaval should be 1 because he’s too short to ride the bumper cars. Matt asked Kaval if he thought being ranked 1 was a fluke. Kaval said the fans didn’t think it was a fluke. Matt said being a star takes charisma and they need to connect with the WWE Universe. Matt said it was time to talk the talk with the talk the talk challenge.
TALK THE TALK CHALLENGE
“Showtime” Percy Watson won the challenge: Matt said they would each be given a topic and have 30 seconds to talk about it. Matt told them to connect with the audience and be original. Percy Watson went first. The winner gets to host their own talk show next week. Percy’s topic was glasses. Percy said he wanted to talk about his glasses because he needs to have vision to see what he wants in life and to know where he’s going. Percy asked if everyone was ready for the show time and yelled oh yeah! Kaval’s topic was chicken. Kaval said chickens can’t exist in the WWE. Kaval said he’s the smallest but has the biggest heart and isn’t a chicken. Kaval said he can’t succeed without the WWE Universe and he will ride with them to win NXT season 2. Eli Cottonwood’s topic was moustaches. Eli explained what a moustache was and said a moustache was for a real man. Eli said he had the best one and in a couple days he’ll have a thick one. Michael McGillicutty’s topic was pointless name changes. Michael’s actual topic was breath. Michael said everybody knew his background and where he came from. Michael said he’s the son of a WWE hall of famer. Michael said by the end of NXT he’ll take everyone’s breath away. Husky Harris’s topic was doorknobs. Husky said he uses a doorknob to open doors. Husky said they don’t deserve to hear him talk. “Lucky” Cannon’s topic was deodorant. Cannon said the basic function is to keep you from smelling and sweating. Cannon said deodorant has no function without a smelly individual, Cannon said he’s the deodorant and WWE is the smelly individual. Alex Riley’s topic was pigeons. Alex said there’s a lot of animals he’s come into contact with. Alex said he’s the rooster in the henhouse. Alex said his competition were all pigeons. The WWE Universe picked Percy Watson as the winner, because looking like a constipated ripped version of Urkel is the new thing I guess.
SINGLES MATCH
Michael McGillicutty w/Kofi Kingston defeated “Showtime” Percy Watson w/Montel Vontavious Porter: Percy took down Michael with a bad looking kick and locked in a side headlock. Michael took down Percy with a dropkick and snapmare for 2. Percy fought out of a side headlock but Michael took him down with a lariat to the back of the neck. Michael won soon after with a sunset flip pin.
NON (WWE UNITED STATES) TITLE MATCH
WWE United States champion Mike “The Miz” Mizanin w/Alex Riley defeated Kaval w/Lay-Cool (Michelle McCool & Layla): Kaval kicked Miz in the leg but Miz yakuza kicked Kaval in the face. Miz hit Kaval in the neck with some forearms and kicked him in the front. Miz continued to destroy Kaval until finally Kaval reversed a back suplex into a cross body pin. Back from commercial Miz was still in control. Finally Kaval hit a sunset flip double stomp. Kaval hit some kicks and a big tidal crush for 2. Kaval fought out of a superplex but was knocked off the top turnbuckle and hit with the skull crushing finale for 3.
TAG TEAM MATCH
“Dashing” Cody Rhodes & Husky Harris defeated “Lucky” Cannon & Mark Henry: Cannon and Husky started off. Cannon took down Husky with a firemans take down and tagged in Henry. Cody tagged in but his punches wouldn’t do a thing to Henry. Henry gorilla press slammed Cody down. Henry went for a giant ass drop but Cody rolled out of the way and tagged in Husky. Husky and Cody made frequent tags isolating Henry. Henry took down Husky with a big clothesline and got the tag to Cannon. Everything broke down and Cody hit Cannon with the Cross Rhodes for 3.
