He says he spoke to Owens and there is something different in his eyes, he is not the same Kevin Owens and Triple H does not want to put Owens in the ring with Orton. He tells Orton that he just came back after 18 months on the shelf, he didn’t tear his ACL or blow his shoulder out. He had steel rods put in his back and he just got him back. He doesn’t want Orton back on the shelf.

Orton tells him that isn’t going to happen. He didn’t ask Paul Levesque to come down to the ring, he didn’t ask the COO of a multi-billion dollar company. He wanted the Game, the guy who wore a leather jacket, the guy who came to his home with a sledgehammer and beat him up at his home. That’s who he wants in the middle of the ring to hear him out. He asks Triple H what he would do if he was in his shoes. This is not the old Orton being impulsive, he knows what is at stake more than everybody and Triple H knows more than everybody what it is like to have it taken away from you. He asks him to give him Kevin Owens at Crown Jewel.

Triple H looks at Orton and says he hopes to God they know what they are asking for. He tells Orton he has Kevin Owens at Crown Jewel. He tells Orton that from this moment forward, he suggests he protects himself at all times. Triple H drops the microphone and leaves the ring.

Cody Rhodes and Gunther

Cody’s music hits and out comes the Undisputed WWE Champion. As Cody is making his entrance on the second rope, Gunther’s music hits and out comes the World Heavyweight Champion to the ring. Both men stand in the ring with the Crown Jewel Championship on a platform.

Gunther asks Cody what he wants to talk about. Gunther says he wants to talk about Cody first. He says it was unecessary to mention his daughter last week. The Crown Jewel title has nothing to do with his daughter, it has everything to do with champion against champion. He tells Cody that at WrestleMania, Cody finished his story and for the legacy of Dusty Rhodes.

He says Cody wants to be the quarter back, he wants that John Cena schedule just to live up to someone else’s standards. He says he thinks he is doing all of this to make things a little more dramatic than they really are. Gunther says he is the greatest professional wrestler in the company and his reason for all of this, is to live up to himself. He tells Cody to imagine everyone not in the building, just them. And Cody gives him that honesty back, he wants to know Cody’s real reason why he wants to do all of this.

Cody says for a man as well dressed, in a double breasted suit and an OP on his wrist, this was the dumbest question he has been asked in this ring. He tells Gunther none of this exists without all of the fans. And Gunther had the nerve to take away their wow during his entrance. Cody counts to three and the fans go “wow”. Cody asks Gunther where he was yesterday because he was in Las Vegas doing the media rounds, talking about WrestleMania. All of that prestige but Gunther is missing the giant responsibility that comes with being a champion.

Gunther tells him to look at his title. He is the work horse Champion of the company. He knows everything about responsibility. He says he gets the same requests as Cody does, the difference is that he just tells them no because he has the guts to say no, to say no to the boss, no to any media request, to any charity and he especially has the guts to say no to everyone in the arena.

He tells Cody the reason why Cody doesn’t say no is because if Cody stops being the servant, his little story is over. And that makes Cody a gutless champion. And a gutless champion will always be secondary to him.

Cody says people call Gunther a ring general. He says Gunther commands no one, he leads no one and he wants to mention guts. He says everything he does is about guts and he hits Gunther with right hands. In comes Ludwig Kaiser and he hits Cody from behind but Gunther grabs Cody and Kaiser with right hands.
