“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.
SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos are in the ring. There’s a throne in the ring. They said they’re going to beat RK-Bro this Sunday at Survivor Series. They then introduce their cousin, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring alongside Paul Heyman. Reigns will face WWE Champion Big E this Sunday. Heyman says he’s overwhelmed with emotion. No one in the history of WWE deserves to be crowned the king as much as the head of the table, the Tribal Chief and king, Roman Reigns. Heyman knows everyone here tonight will agree that the distinction of “king” surely doesn’t belong to Xavier Woods and sure as hell will never belong to Brock Lesnar. It’ll also never belong to someone like Big E, who will be smashed this Sunday by the Tribal King, Roman Reigns. At Survivor Series…
Reigns holds out his hand, and Heyman puts the microphone in his palm. Reigns asks whose idea this was. Heyman points at The Usos. Reigns says this must be a joke because he doesn’t care about this stuff. He doesn’t need any of this to be acknowledged. Reigns says he’s put in the hard work and demands respect. Reigns demands Hartford acknowledge him. The only reason he took this crown last week was because he could.
Xavier Woods comes out to the stage. Woods says all these material things in the ring belong to him, but those things do not make a king. What makes a king is knowing you are here to do good for the WWE Universe. If you are a king, Reigns would look him in the eye so they can settle this. That’s not Reigns’ M.O., so let’s swing the pot. Woods challenges Reigns to come out without the Wet Bandits and look at Woods face to face so he can show Reigns what a real king is made of.
Reigns says if none of this stuff means anything to him, he tells Jey Uso to deal with it. Jey blows his nose into Woods’ cape, and Reigns stomps on it. Woods says clothes don’t make the man. Jey then takes the scepter and breaks it over his knee. Woods looks more disturbed but doesn’t move. The Usos then take the throne and smash it on the ground. Reigns laughs as Woods sneers. Reigns asks Woods if he’s sure. They take the crown and go to smash it. Reigns once again asks Woods if the crown means nothing. Woods doesn’t move. Reigns puts the crown down on the mat and goes to stomp it, so Woods charges the ring. The Usos double-team him as soon as he gets in the ring.
The Usos hold Woods down and says he’s the real king around here. Reigns doesn’t need props. He’s the only one. Reigns then stomps on the crown. The Usos throw Woods down. The Bloodline stands tall over Woods.
Sheamus makes his way to the ring. He’ll face Cesaro, Ricochet, and Jinder Mahal to determine the final member of Team SmackDown at Survivor Series next.

Xavier Woods is shown limping backstage. Kayla Braxton asks where he goes from here. Woods says he’ll be out in the ring at the end of the night. Roman Reigns will meet him there. The Roman Empire wasn’t built in a day, but it will fall tonight.
