WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks starts the show as she walks down to the ring for the contract signing. Adam Pearce is in the ring and he asks her about the contract signing. Sasha open the booklet and there’s no contract. Sasha gets angry and asks where the contract is.
Carmella is shown on the big screen holding the contract. She tells Sasha she makes the rules and Sasha follows them. She says she signed the contract and her messenger will deliver her the contract. She gives the contract over to someone next to her. She tells Sasha there was no way she was going to get in the ring with her tonight. The two begin to argue as Carmella’s assistant gets in the ring and gives the contract to Adam. The contract is put on the table as Sasha stamps the contract.
Sasha tells her if she wants the Championship, she can come out and give her a match tonight. Carmella says they can have the match tonight. Pearce says that is a main event. Sasha slaps Carmella’s assistant and hits him with the Backstabber. She flips the table over the assistant as Carmella laughs.
Kayla Braxton is backstage with The Street Profits. She asks them about Ziggler and Roode defeating them a few weeks ago. They said they are too funny to make money. Ford says tonight, he goes against a former World Heavyweight Champion and they want the smoke.
-Commercial Break-
Ziggler says they just saw their interview with Kayla and Ford said a few weeks ago, he called him a poor man’s HBK which makes no sense because he is rich. If he wants to use that part, do it the right way. The only thing less funny than the Street Profits as that they are the SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
Roode says to laugh it up because when they get their opportunity at the SmackDown Tag Team Championships, their little title reign is going to go up in smoke.
Dolph Ziggler with Robert Roode vs. Montez Ford with Angelo Dawkins
The bell rings and we are under way. A single leg attempts by Ziggler as Ford makes it to the ropes. A kick to the body by Ziggler followed by a drop kick. Ziggler goes for the cover but Ford kicks out. An arm bar head lock by Ziggler in the middle of the ring but Ford gets to his feet. A kick to the leg by Ziggler followed by a neck breaker.
Ziggler goes for the cover but again Ford kicks out. Ziggler goes for another drop kick but Ford catches him and catapults him into the corner. A drop kick by Ford. He runs to the ropes and he knocks Ziggler down to the outside. The Street Profits are in the ring and blue cups start flying into the ring.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Ziggler with a head lock in the middle of the ring. Ziggler with several elbows onto Ford. He goes for the cover but Ford kicks out. Ziggler with a neck breaker. He goes for the cover but Ford kicks out. A headlock by Ziggler as Ford gets to his feet. A clothesline by Ford. He sends Ziggler to the ropes and a flying splash by Ford. Ziggler back up and kicks by Ford followed by a back suplex. A standing moon sault by Ford. He picks Ziggler up but a sunset flip by Ziggler as Ford kicks out. Ziggler goes for the Zig Zag, Ford hangs on and kicks him in the back of the neck.
Ford climbs the top rope but Roode attacks Dawkins on the outside. Ford is distracted as Ziggler trips Ford on the ropes. A super kick by Ziggler. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler
Sami Zayn is backstage arguing with WWE staff about how he is the Intercontinental Champion and doesn’t have a t-shirt. In comes Big E and he tells him not to worry about it. He, along with Apollo Crews and Tamina give him a white t-shirt with a stick man drawn on it. The shirt says I am Sami Zayn as Zayn grabs the shirt and tries to rip it but can’t. Zayn tells him he is lucky his arm is injured and he storms off.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Zayn is in the ring on a rant. He says he wants his merchandise for the people he represents, the people of every continent. He says last week the WWE took all that time to honor Pat Patterson, the first ever Intercontinental Champion and this is how they treat the current champion. Big E’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring.
Sami Zayn vs. Big E
The bell rings and we are under way. Big E drops Zayn to the mat as Zayn goes to the outside. Zayn gets back in the ring and a head lock by Big E in the middle of the ring. An abdominal stretch by Big E but Sami gets out of it. A right hand by Sami. He runs to the ropes but a back elbow by Big E knocks Zayn down.
Big E places Zayn on the ring apron and right hands by Big E. He gets on the ring apron and Big E with the big splash.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Zayn in control of the match. An elbow to the face by Zayn as he gets Big E in the corner. Right hands by Zayn. He goes for a snap mare but Big E blocks it. A knee to the face by Zayn. He goes for the cover but Big E kicks out. A head lock by Zayn but Big E pushes Zayn away. Zayn onto the ring apron as he hangs up Big E on the top rope. Zayn on the second rope and an elbow onto Big E.
Zayn mocks Big E as he runs to the ropes but Big E gets up and a belly to belly. Another belly to belly by Big E followed by a third. Big E with the big splash. Zayn rolls to the outside and back into the ring. Big E with a clothesline. Big E runs towards Zayn with an elbow and a boot to the face. Zayn on the second rope, a cross body but Big E catches him. Big E goes for the Big Ending but Zayn with a rake to the eyes. Zayn goes for the Helluva Kick but Big E slams Zayn into the mat. Zayn grabs his injured hand as the referee checks up on him.
The referee tells Big E to back away as Zayn slaps him in the face. Zayn rolls to the outside as Big E chases him. Zayn rolls under the ring and Big E follows. Zayn gets back into the ring as Big E is counted out.
Winner: By count out, Sami Zayn
Bayley is backstage and she wishes Carmella good luck in her match tonight. While Banks is Champion, she still runs the show. And as for Bianca Belair, who does she think she is. Bayley tells her it’s time for the EST to be gone. In comes Bianca who tells her that she has to worry about herself. She isn’t that cute, her hair is dusty too. She tells her to look at the receipts as she grabs receipts. She says who was the last one to represent SmackDown at Survivor Series? Her. Who’s the strongest? Her. Bayley leaves the scene.
-Commercial Break-
Carmella is backstage with Kayla. Carmella says Sasha thinks she is the boss but she is untouchable. She made Sasha relevant by going for her title. She tells her to take a look at her because this is what the SmackDown Women’s Champion looks like. She snaps her fingers and in comes her assistant Tommy. She tells him to get her champagne at ring side because she wants to celebrate in style.
We see clips of Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns and Jey Uso from recent weeks.
Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman and Jey Uso are backstage watching the clip. Jey asks him if they are good and Roman says he is good, he is great. He asks him how he is, how the family is, how he is. Jey says he is good. Roman says he should be, he’s with him.
Kevin’s music hits and out he comes to the ring. Jey asks Roman to get him. Roman says he knows where he is, to go get him. Kevin Owens grabs a table and throws it in the ring. He grabs some chairs and a ladder and gets them in the ring. Owens sets them up in the ring and grabs a microphone.
Owens tells Roman he knows he is watching but he needs to listen to him. If he wants him to fear him, even after last week, he doesn’t fear him. Because Roman says he fights for his family and if there is something he can relate to, it’s that. But the problem is as good as he is, regardless of what he says, what’s happening is his family is doing the fighting for him. He is using his family to fight his battles.
Kevin tells him TLC is the most important match of his career. He knows that the Roman Reigns they see today, with all that momentum, can probably beat anyone in WWE. He’s aware he is going to need all the help he can get. He fights for his family too. But his family is not part of this industry. His family supports him by watching at home. And while his family won’t be able to physically help him beat him at TLC, he has some friends. Owens grabs two chairs. He says chairs are cold, unforgiving and at TLC, chairs are gong to help him pay back for every chair shot he gave him last week.
And table is his second friend. Table is hard, tough to break. But once you do, she’s so welcoming. And table is looking forward to receiving Roman at TLC. And then there is his last friend ladder. He says ladder s the most difficult of his friends to handle. It’s rough around the edges, unpredictable. But ladder is his favorite because it will help him hurt Roman but will help him get back where he belongs. Kevin climbs the ladder in the ring.
Owens says Roman can keep the head of the table because at TLC, he will give everything he has to get back to the top of the ladder and become WWE Universal Champion again. And Roman, if he wants to talk about his family and as he is talking, Jey Uso attacks Kevin Owens with a chair.
Jey Uso places Kevin on the chair as he climbs the top rope. Kevin gets up and hits Jey down with a chair. Right hands by Kevin Owens who is hobbling on his left leg. He throws Jey into the ladder and hits him with a pop up power bomb through the table.
Roman’s music hits and out he comes with Paul Heyman. Kevin is holding a chair. Roman is about to give Heyman the title as Heyman tells him it’s not his time, it’s Kevin’s time. He has to call the shots. This is his island, his ring. He does things on his time. Roman grabs the WWE Championship and they walk away.
-Commercial Break-
Kevin Owens is backstage looking for Roman. In comes Kayla as he asks her where Roman is. Kevin tells Roman what he did to Jey is Roman’s fault. Roman hits Kevin with a chair from behind. Right hands by Roman as he looks into the camera. He says Owens family, I am Roman Reigns. I’m the head of the table, the tribal chief, your tribal chief. I’m the guy who puts a roof over your head, the food on your table. If you don’t talk some sense into your husband, into your dad, he will be the guy who takes the food off the table. He kicks Kevin Owens and walks away.
Billie Kay and Natalya vs. The Riott Squad
The bell rings and we are under way. Riott is in the ring with Billie Kay and a right hand by Riott as Morgan is tagged in. A drop kick by Liv. She throws Billie into the corner and a back elbow. Riott is tagged back in as they double team Billie in the corner. Riott goes for the cover but Kay kicks out. Liv is tagged back in. A kick to the face by Billie as Natalya is tagged in.
She gets Liv in the corner as Billie is tagged back in and they double team Liv. Natalya is tagged back in and again they double team Liv. A snap mare by Natalya in the middle of the ring. She throws Liv into the corner and Kay is tagged in. Liv kicks Billie back as Kay accidentally knocks Natalya down. Riott is tagged in as they double team Kay. Riott goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winners: The Riott Squad
We see a clip of Otis and Gable in the gym. We cut backstage and Otis and Gable are backstage with Kayla. She asks them what brought them together. Gable says life has knocked Otis down several times but he has grit, tenacity. And with his Alpha teachings, he is going to mold this raw lump of clay. In come Cesaro and Nakamura. They make jokes about Chad’s height.
-Commercial Break-
Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Otis and Chad Gable
The bell rings and we are under way. Cesaro and Gable are in the ring. Gable tags Otis in. Otis knocks Cesaro down as Cesaro gets back up. Gable is tagged back in. He takes Cesaro down and a German suplex by Gable. Otis is tagged in. Otis with a waist lock take down. Gable tagged in and an uppercut by Cesaro.
Nakamura tagged in. Kicks to the body by Nakamura as he gets Gable in the corner. Gable out of the corner and a kick by Gable takes Nakamura down. Cesaro and Otis are tagged in. A clothesline by Otis. He sends Cesaro to the ropes and a spinning clothesline by Otis. A big splash by Otis in the corner. Otis goes for the caterpillar but Gable tells him to tag him in.
Gable is tagged in. Gable on the top rope and he jumps but Cesaro catches him and spins him around. Nakamura is tagged in. Nakamura with the Kinshasa. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Winners: Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura
-Commercial Break-
Gable is backstage with Otis and he tells him what a great learning lesson. While he asked him to tag him in, he didn’t actually want him to tag him in. Tonight was a test and he failed but that’s fine. It’s all part of the Alpha mentality. He’s teaching him what to do by showing him what not to do. Gable walks away as Otis is confused.
Corbin is backstage with Cutler and Blake. In comes Alyse as she asks him about his new associates. Corbin says Darth Vader has the storm troopers and this king is bringing back some old school mentality. There’s no family drama to get in the ring. These two have pledged their loyalty to this king. And if Rey wants to step up, that’s fine but the consequences this time will be more severe than losing an eye.
-Commercial Break-
WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship Match – Sasha Banks (c) vs. Carmella
The bell rings and we are under way. Banks goes for a right hand but Carmella ducks and slams her onto the mat. A boot to the face by Carmella as she talks trash. She gets Sasha tied in between the ropes and slaps her. She sends Sasha to the ropes and a head leg scissors takes Sasha down. A drop toe hold by Carmella. She goes for a kick but Sasha ducks. She goes for the backstabber but Carmella gets Sasha in the corner. A back elbow by Carmella in the corner.
Carmella runs towards Sasha but Sasha throws her onto the ring apron. A knee to the face by Sasha as she goes onto the ring apron. Carmella slams Sasha face first onto the apron.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial, Carmella drives Sasha’s arm into the ring post. She throws Sasha into the barricade on the outside. Carmella throws Sasha back into the ring. She goes for the cover but Sasha kicks out. Carmella stomps on Sasha in the corner followed by a snap mare. A head lock by Carmella but Sasha backs Carmella in the corner. The double knees by Sasha in the corner. She goes for the cover but Carmella kicks out.
Sasha goes for the backstabber but Carmella reverses it. Carmella kicks Sasha away. Carmella on the top rope and she lands a cross body. She goes for the cover but Sasha kicks out. Carmella with the Code of Silence in the middle of the ring but Sasha reverses it into the Banks Statement.
Carmella’s assistant throws a champagne bottle in the ring which distracts the referee. The assistant drags Sasha to the outside of the ring. She chases him into the ring as he escapes. Sasha goes after Carmella and right hands in the corner as the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: By disqualification, Carmella
Sasha Banks with the Banks Statement on Carmella’s assistant. Carmella with a kick onto Sasha followed by another one. Carmella throws Sasha into the champagne stand on the outside of the ring. She breaks a bottle across Sasha’s back and sprays champagne everywhere.
