We start with a video package recapping John Cena’s match this past Monday on RAW, and his won to reinstate Ryback, Rowan, and Ziggler. The video also shows the appearance of Sting and how his distraction cost Rollins the match.
Welcome to SmackDown coming to us from the Austin, Texas inside the University of Texas. We are joined on commentary by Jerry “The King” Lawler, Michael Cole, and Byron Saxton.
Daniel Bryans music hits and out he comes to the ring. Bryan says the fans seem excited tonight. And why wouldn’t they be were just days from the Rumble and beginning the road to WrestleMania. Bryan says he could talk about his match tonight, and how he will do anything to win it, he could talk about spending every waking moment thinking about getting his title back. He says he could talk about Sting and his first ever appearance on RAW. He could talk about all that but he won’t, because John Cena did something very important on RAW. He said he has some guys that might have something to get off their chest.
Ryback’s music hits and out he comes to a huge crowd reaction. Rowan is out next in the sheep mask. Out last is the “showoff” Dolph Ziggler. Ryback says it seems they got some hungry people here in Texas. Ryback said nobody can take this away from him. Ryback says the world has been reminded how bad the Authority sucks. He then leads the fans in a “Feed me more” chant. Rowan gets the microphone and says being gone was sort of a blessing; he had a lot of time to sit back and think. He used to be naïve and someone’s puppet. He now sees himself in a new light. He says now he knows who he really is. Finally Bryan gives Ziggler the microphone. He said he sat around ate some pizza and watched the Stephanie and HHH fitness DVDs. He said he belonged on top with each one of them, he said he earned the right to stand in that ring. He said the Authority tried to take it away because they see them as a threat. He said he loves this and he just getting going. Kane’s music hits and he comes out with Rollins, Big Show and J & J Security. Rollins says they replaced Cena with the garden gnome Bryan. Ziggler says he didn’t recognize Rollins without his nose up the behind of the Authority. Rollins says as much as he wants to walk down to the ring and put Ziggler in his place he isn’t going to do that. Rollins says he has more important things to do than deal with Ziggler. He says in three days he will beat Cena and Lesnar and become WWE Champion. Kane takes the microphone and says Ziggler is very disrespectful for someone that was just hired back. He then says Bryan has to go thru him to get into the Royal Rumble match. Bryan shows the clip off Lesnar attacking Rollins, Kane, and Big show this past Monday. Show says listen you little greasy hamster there is nothing he would like better than to give them first class tickets over the top rope. Kane then says Bryan and he have known each other for a long time, and Bryan has forgotten what he is capable off. Kane says tonight Ziggler faces Wade Barrett for his spot in the Royal Rumble, and the match is right now. We go to a commercial break.

Dolph Ziggler vs. WWE Intercontinental champion Bad News Barrett in a Royal Rumble qualifier match
We start with Barrett putting Ziggler in a waste lock. Barrett beats Ziggler down in the corner. Barrett goes for a clothesline and misses. Ziggler hits a drop kick and gets a two count. Barrett catches Ziggler and gives him a huge kick to the midsection. Outside the ring Barrett slams Ziggler into the ring apron, then the ring post. He throws Ziggler back into the ring and gets a two count. Barrett wears Ziggler down with an arm bar. Ziggler fights back to his feet but gets knocked back down to the mat. Barrett continues to work on the shoulder in the center of the ring. Ziggler fights back to his feet and create separation. Barrett charges into the corner but Ziggler moves and hits Barrett with the DDT and gets a two count as we go to a break….

Back from the break Barrett is in control and goes for the pin but gets a two count. Ziggler fights back and Barrett goes shoulder first into the ring post. Ziggler hits a splash in the corner and hits an elbow to Barrett and gets a two count. Barrett rolls Ziggler up and gets a two count. Ziggler hits a kick and gets a two count of his own. Barrett hits a kick and Ziggler falls to the mat. Barrett call for the bull hammer but Ziggler hits him with a kick and hits the ZigZag, he gets the pin for the win.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler, he qualifies for the Royal Rumble
They recap the highlights of the match as Ziggler celebrates.
We recap what took place this past Monday with the Ascension, APA, New Age Outlaws, and the NWO.
We see Roman Reigns backstage as we go to a break.

Back from the break a video recaps what took place between Reigns and Big Show on Monday, and Big Show knocking Ric Flair out. Rene Young is interviewing Reigns. Reigns so if you didn’t know Big Show is a giant because he reminds us every week. You know who didn’t remind us Andre the giant. Roman says he will cut out his own path at the Rumble. Roman said a line about his arm being cocked, locked and ready to rock.
The announcers plug the Royal Rumble and the WWE Network. Ryback’s music hits and out he comes, as we go to a commercial.

Back from the break we see Fandango and Rosa picking his number for the Royal rumble. We then see Dean Ambrose pick his.
Rusev and Lana have made their way out to the ring.
Ryback vs. WWE United States champion Rusev in a Royal Rumble qualifier match
We start with both men locking up in the center of the ring. Ryback knocks Rusev down and Rusev rolls out of the ring. Rusev gets back in the ring and kicks Ryback, and then beats him down to the mat with consecutive kicks. Ryback hits a huge suplex on Rusev and goes for a pin, he gets a two count. Rusev rolls outside to get his composure. Ryback gives Rusev a couple shoulder thrusts in the corner. Rusev hits a drop kick on Ryback as we go to a break…

Back from the break Rusev pants Ryback and gets a two count. Rusev slams Ryback’s legs against the ring post. In the ring Rusev slams Ryback hard onto the mat and screams at the fans. Rusev picks him up again and slams him hard again. Ryback hits a side slam on Rusev and fights back to his feet as the crowd chants “feed me more”. Ryback picks up Rusev and hits a power slam. Ryback throws Rusev into the ropes but Rusev kicks him. Ryback picks up Rusev and slams him onto the mat, Ryback gets a two count. Ryback tries to power bomb Rusev but Rusev counters and slams Ryback into the mat and gets a two count. Both men fight back to their feet, Ryback hits a belly-to-belly suplex. Ryback goes to the top turn buckle but Rusev knocks him down and kicks him down from the ropes. Rusev goes for the pin and gets a two count. Rusev tries to put Ryback in the accolade but Ryback breaks free and hits a spine buster. Ryback goes for the meat hook but Rusev rolls to the outside. Both men fight outside the ring as Ryback throws Rusev into the barricade. Ryback gets back in the ring as the referee counts out Rusev.
Winner: Ryback, he qualifies for the Royal Rumble
After the match Rusev attacks Ryback. Ryback fights back and hits the meat hook, and then Rusev escapes from the ring. As we go to a commercial.

Back from the break Naomi is making her way to the ring. Paige and Natalya are joining King, Cole, and Saxton on commentary. Brie Bella makes her way to the ring with Nikki. They show a video of comments made earlier by the Bellas.
Brie Belle vs. Naomi
Naomi quickly rolls up Brie but she kicks out. Naomi kicks Brie and continues the attack. Brie knocks Naomi’s head of the top rope. Back in the ring Brie covers Naomi for a two count. Brie controls the match and bulldogs Naomi in the center of the ring and gets a two count. Brie goes for the knee but misses as Naomi hits some chops and kicks. Brie hits a face first slam and gets the pin for the win.
Winner: Brie Bella
After the match a video airs with Luke Harper. He talks about the Rumble and says Rowan won’t even get a chance to be in the Rumble, as we go to a break…

Back from the break we see Goldust and Stardust drawing their Royal Rumble numbers.
Erick Rowan is already in the ring as Luke Harper comes to the ring.
Luke Harper vs. Erick Rowan in a Royal Rumble qualifier match
We start with both men exchanging blows and Rowan getting a kick and a cover for two. They battle outside then back in. Rowan goes for a power bomb but Harper hits the head scissors. They exchange some clotheslines then Harper hits a drop kick and gets a two count. Rowan hits some vicious clotheslines and splashes in the corner. Rowan then hits a spin kick and gets a two count. Rowan hits a power bomb on Harper and gets a two count. Rowan goes to the top rope but misses the splash. Harper kicks him in the head and hits a huge clothesline and gets the three count for the win.
Winner: Luke Harper (Rowan does not qualify for the Royal Rumble)
After the match they recap the highlights. Backstage we see Kane and Rollins talking. Kane says he needs J & J Security tonight. Rollins says they are all his, as we go to a break

Back from the break the “All about the Numbers” video for the Royal Rumble airs.
We see Miz and Mizdow in the back. Mizdow says the crowd likes him. Miz says the crowd is never cheering for him, the crowd is really cheering for the Miz. The Usos tell Mizdow its every man for himself. And if Miz goes over the top will he go to. It’s his chance to stand up to the Miz.

Back from the break we see a graphic hyping the 6-man tag for the Royal Rumble pre-show.
Kane’s music hits and out he comes with J & J Security. As we recap what happen between Kane and Bryan on RAW.
Daniel Bryan vs. Kane in a ‘no disqualification’ Royal Rumble qualifying match
Bryan starts off with some kicks but Kane gets the upper hand with some stiff punches. Bryan then takes Kane down with a cross body and gets a two count. Bryan is distracted and Kane knocks him to the outside. Kane gives Bryan a neck breaker on the floor. Kane continues the beat down of Bryan outside the ring. Kane finds a kendo stick and hits Bryan with it repeatedly. Kane throws Bryan back into the ring. Bryan hits a high knee and gets the kendo stick and strikes Kane with it. Kane goes to his knees and Bryan keep striking him, Bryan goes for a pin and gets a two count. Bryan jumps from the top but Kane catches him with a chop to the throat and goes for the pin and gets a two count as we go to a break….

Back from the break Kane has Bryan in a reverse chin lock. Bryan fights back but gets knocked back down, Kane gets a two count. Kane hits Bryan with a steel chair and gets a two count. Kane places the chair in the corner between the ropes. Bryan fights back with some hits and kicks. Bryan knocks Kane to the outside then hits a kick. He then flies to the outside but Kane catches him with an uppercut. Kane throws Bryan into the stairs. J & J Security clean off the announcers table. Kane grabs Bryan, but Bryan fights back and throws Kane into the steel post. Kane goes back in the ring then flies to the outside taking Kane out. J & J Security attack Bryan and Kane gets the upper hand as Kane throws him back in the ring. Kane jumps from the top rope, but Ryan gets the yes lock in and J & J Security break it up and attack Bryan again. Bryan takes out J & J Security but Kane choke slams Bryan and gets a two count. Kane gets another chair, but Bryan hits a drop toe hold him into the chair on Kane that Kane set up earlier. Bryan hits a running knee and gets the pin for the win.
Winner: Daniel Bryan, he qualifies for the Royal Rumble
After the match Big Show attacks Bryan and brings him back to the ring. Ziggler, Ryback, and Rowan run to the ring to help Bryan. More Superstars run into the ring as the ring fills up. Superstars start to fly out of the ring over the top rope. We are left with Reigns, Ambrose, Ryback, Bryan, and Ziggler in the ring with Kane and Big Show on the ring apron, as we go off the air.
