SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long + Kofi Kingston: Teddy said last Monday the annual draft was held, and it was off the hizzle for shizzle. Teddy said SmackDown! got the better of the draft (HA). Teddy introduced Kofi Kingston, one of the RAW members who got drafted to SmackDown!
SINGLES MATCH
Kofi Kingston defeated Chris Jericho: Chris said he told everyone 12 months ago that he would become the face of SmackDown! and he has. Chris said to look at the face. Chris said he dazzled them with his presence, took the show to a new level, and gave them some of the best matches ever. Chris said unfortunately his work is done and it’s time for him to become the face of RAW. Chris said he didn’t want any of those hypocrites to fret because even though they’ll be sad, and miss him, and there will be an empty whole in their Fridays from now on. Chris said it’s time for all of them to move on with their lives. Chris said it’s time for them to grow up. Kofi grabbed the mic and told him to shut up. Kofi said if he won’t do that then he’ll help him out with a boom boom boom. Chris attacked Kofi in the corner. Kofi hit his corner turnbuckle punches but Chris reversed it into a powerbomb. Back from commercial Chris baseball slid Kofi out of the ring. Chris locked in a cross face arm bar. Kofi tried to splash Chris but hit an empty turnbuckle. Kofi hit a springboard cross body for 2, and got ready for the boom drop but Chris grabbed his legs and almost turned it into the walls. Chris tried for the enziguri but Kofi ducked, Kofi tried for the trouble in paradise but Chris caught his legs and turned it into the walls! Kofi managed to make it to the ropes. Kofi tried for the boom drop again but Chris moved and hit the code breaker, sending Kofi out of the ring! Chris dragged Kofi into the ring, but only got a 2! Kofi hit the trouble in paradise for 3 moments later!

Chris Jericho & The Big Show: Chris said he could have used him out there, and he could use him on RAW. Chris said the show is nothing without him and he should have listened to him before. Chris asked if he was listening to him now. Chris got ready to walk away and it turned out to be The Big Show he was talking to, who punched him in the face! Show said yeah, he was listening.

Chavo Guerrero + Kane : Chavo said there’s no need to rub their eyes because it’s true, Chavo is back on SmackDown! Chavo said no longer is he under the thumb of the RAW guest hosts, he’s back and it feels good! Chavo said there are 2 Guerrero’s on SmackDown! Chavo said he knows they all want to join in, so to go ahead and put your hands together in welcoming back Chavo. Kane came out. Kane chokeslammed Chavo, welcomed him back, and hit his pyro.
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Shad Gaspard: Shad said all these new faces coming from RAW. Shad said they really think it’s their time, but they’re wrong, it’s his time! Shad took off his glasses and said his time again.
SINGLES MATCH
Cody Rhodes defeated John Morrison: Cody shoved John and took a forearm to the face. Cody stomped a mud hole into John in the corner. John nailed Cody with a leg lariat followed by the standing shooting star press for 2. Cody retreated to the outside so John went after him. Cody jumped off the steps and kicked John right in the head. Back from commercial Cody had John in a cross face chicken wing. Cody stayed on offense a bit longer before locking in another cross face. Cody hit a moonsault for 2. John moved out of the way of a knee drop and hit a drop kick to level Cody. John hit the springboard kick for 2. Cody tried to hit Cross Rhodes but John reversed it. John tried to hit the starship pain but Cody moved. Cody hit the Alabama slam for 2. John kicked Cody in the head and hit the running knee for 2. John hit a pele kick but then Cody hit the Cross Rhodes for 3!

Edge + Christian: Edge said unfortunately this Monday he was drafted to RAW. Edge said he’ll be perfectly honest, he doesn’t want to go. Edge said SmackDown! has always felt like his show, his home. Edge said the people felt like his family. Edge said through all of his injuries those people have supported him, even though he doesn’t deserve it. Edge said their support got him back from that Achilles heel injury. Edge said he wanted to tell each and every one of them that from the bottom of his heart, he loves them. Christian came out! Edge said he knew why Christian was out there but before he gets to it he wants to say Edge and Christian! Edge said the people obviously remember everything that they did. Edge said before Christian wishes him luck he just has to tell him that he’s his best friend. Edge said because Christian is his best friend he wants to wish him luck. Christian said he appreciates that and he’s glad he brought up the best friends thing. Christian said a lot of people remember the history of E and C, but for those who don’t, here’s a picture. Christian said they have known each other since the 6th grade. Christian said they were roommates in college, and they broke into that business together. Christian said they became 7 time tag team champions together. Christian said that means he knows Edge better than anybody. Christian said he knows Edge better than Edge knows, and can tell that everything Edge said before he came out there was a load of crap! Edge asked where that was coming from. Christian said Edge had an amazing career and came back from some big injuries. Christian said Edge doesn’t know how much they respect him for that. Christian said the problem is that Edge has never respected them back. Christian said Edge used them to get what he wants. Edge said this isn’t about him, it’s about Christian. Edge said Christian has had a good career, but Edge is a 9 time world champion. Edge asked Christian how many world titles he has held. Christian said he’s never been world champion, yet. Christian said when he does win one, it will be on his own merit and talent, not because he had to step on other peoples necks to get there. Christian said he knows Edge is trying to change the subject. Christian said he’s going to call Edge out in front of everyone. Christian said he’s going to tell Edge exactly what he is, and if the people don’t know it, they’ll know it right now. Christian said Edge is a liar. Edge said Christian was right! Edge said they didn’t see that happen. Edge said he can’t wait to get off that show, and for the last few months he’s been the puppeteer and those people were his puppets. Edge said he made them say spear whenever he wanted to, and they did it! Edge said he’s a master psychologist. Edge said he played the entire world, and enjoyed every second of it. Christian said ever since he came back to the WWE people have been asking when E and C were going to reunite. Christian said it dawned on him, after all those years, Edge used him too. Christian said when he first came back he thought E and C might be a possibility, but he doesn’t want to see E and C anymore. Christian said he’d rather say Edge vs. Christian, right there, right now! Edge said no, and then attacked Christian from behind! Edge got ready to hit the spear but Christian kicked Edge in the face! Christian tried to hit the killswitch but Edge got out of there. Christian said he has a better chance than spear. Christian said it goes like this, na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye!

Edge + Josh Mathews + The Big Show: Josh asked Edge if they would ever see a match between both him and Christian. Edge said as much as Christian talks, he doesn’t actually want to see that match, it wouldn’t work out for him too good. Big Show came up behind Edge. Show said it’s too bad they won’t see the Edge and Christian match, or this match either. Big Show punched Edge in the face!
TAG TEAM MATCH
Beth Phoenix & Kelly Kelly defeated Team Lay-Cool (Michelle McCool & Layla w/Vickie Guerrero): Michelle and Kelly started out. Michelle pushed Kelly into the turnbuckle and pulled on her hair. Michelle kicked Kelly several times, but Kelly was able to hit her headscissors, followed by a hurricarana for 2. Kelly attacked Layla on the outside but was then knocked over by the rhino that is Vickie. Kelly hit another hurricarana on the inside, followed by an enziguri. Michelle tagged in Layla. Kelly dodged a leg drop and tagged in Beth. Beth cleaned house and hit a slingshot suplex on Layla. Beth tagged in Kelly who hit an awkward famouser on Layla for the 3.

Chris Masters: Chris said there are lots of viral videos that have made people famous, and for the first time on SmackDown! he gives them this. Chris did the pec dance.

Dolph Ziggler: Dolph said he did everyone a huge favor the other night. Dolph said it’s the proudest moment of his career. They showed the video of Dolph choking out Hornswoggle, they showed it in slow motion, which was unintentionally hilarious. Dolph said no one will ever see that troll on SmackDown! ever again. Dolph said he put him asleep, and now he’s in leprechaun heaven. Apparently Dolph murdered him.
BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW
Josh Mathews & Matt Hardy + WWE Intercontinental champion Drew McIntyre: Josh asked Matt what the status of his career and health were. Matt said he’s suffered a lot of injuries over his career, but nothing like last week. Matt said having his head stomped into the stairs took a toll, both physically and psychologically. Matt said he would come back and then Drew attacked Matt and hit the future shock on the floor.

JTG: JTG said he had a conversation with himself and it’s time for some gold, or something.

Straight Edge Society (C.M. Punk & Luke Gallows & Serena) + Montel Vontavious Porter + Rey Mysterio: Punk said last Sunday was Extreme Rules and he knew everyone thought for certain that Rey would defeat him and shave his head. Punk said here was the sobering reality, he said he would beat Rey, and he did just that! Punk said his symbol of purity remains on the top of his head, and unfairly Serena and Luke were ejected from ringside but he still defeated Rey all by himself. Punk said he did it because he’s straight edge. MVP came out. Punk said he was talking. MVP said he was back! Punk said he was talking. MVP said that is the problem. MVP said before he says another word he has to apologize to everyone that every week they have to listen to Punk and his band of mindless followers. MVP said to do us all a favor and shut up! MVP said the only saving being done is by him, he’s going to save everyone from having to listen to Punk run his mouth. MVP said he remembered when Friday nights were cool. MVP said now Punk comes along like a wet blanket and kills everything off. MVP said he can’t make a lot of promises in life, but one he can make, is that Friday nights are about to get cool again. MVP attacked Punk and a brawl broke out. Rey Mysterio ran down to the ring to save MVP. Luke pulled Punk from the ring.
TAG TEAM MATCH
Rey Mysterio & Montel Vontavious Porter defeated Straight Edge Society (C.M. Punk & Luke Gallows w/Serena): MVP and Luke started out. MVP took Luke down and tagged in Rey. Luke reversed Rey’s DDT and hit him with a big boot. Luke tagged in Punk who began punching Rey. Punk locked in a headscissors. Punk and Luke continued to destroy Rey. Finally Rey hit his DDT on Punk. Rey got the hot tag to MVP. MVP took down Luke and hit ballin’. Rey hit a west coast pop on Punk. Rey hit Punk with the 619 and MVP hit the 305 for the 3! After the match that hooded man hit Rey with a neckbreaker and ran away before MVP could stop him.

World Heavyweight champion Jack Swagger + SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long + The Big Show: Jack said when he was a young boy growing up, he was about 2 years old and his father sat him down. Jack told everyone to let him finish. Jack told everyone to sit down and listen to him. Jack said as long as he has the belt, but everyone started booing again. Jack told them to sit down. Jack said his father sat him down and wanted to talk to him man to man. Jack said his father told him one day he would be the world champion. Jack said by the time he had reached 5 he had already completed the first grade and was a good 6 inches taller than everyone else in his class. Jack said when he was 12 he won the NFL punt pass and kick competition. Jack said in the same year he achieved the boy scouts highest honor, they made him eagle scout. Jack said when he was 16 he scored a 1510 on his SAT. Jack said he was admitted early into the most prestigious university in the land, the university of Oklahoma, on a full scholarship. Jack said he didn’t pay for anything. Jack said 3 years later he graduated magna cum laude, top of the class. Jack said he was the premier collegiate athlete in the country, and a 2 time all American. Jack said he earned every bit of it. Jack said since he’s pouring his heart out to everyone, he has to tell them that his favorite achievement was when he won the world heavyweight championship. Jack said 30 days ago when he won that championship he once again sat down with his dad. Jack said his dad told him that he told him so. Jack said now he’s telling everyone that he is the world heavyweight champion. Jack said he is going to be the champion, until he retires. Theodore Long came out. Teddy said they heard just about enough. Teddy said he knows what all those people there want to hear, that is the introduction of the new #1 contender. The Big Show came out! Show said to give Jack Swagger a round of applause. Show said a golf clap was appropriate. Show said the doctor said on the day he was born “Oh my god do you see the size of him?!”. Show said Jack is a lot of things, but he’s not like Show is. Show said he’s the worlds largest athlete. Show said that’s not to take any credit away from his accomplishments. Show said they were valid accomplishments. Show said Jack went to college, earned a degree, was an eagle scout, and is now the world champion. Show said when you think about it there’s only one thing he needs to add to his resume. Show said early retirement and punched Jack in the face!
