Edge & Vickie Guerrero & Chavo Guerrero (w/Bam Neely) & Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins + Theodore Long: Ring announcer Tony Chimmel was forced to announce Edge as the “next World Heavyweight champion.” Edge said that last week the World witnessed a medical miracle when he was able to get medical clearance just in the nick of time. Edge promised to beat the Undertaker this Sunday at Judgment Day. Edge said the Undertaker has never defeated him without using an illegal choke-hold. Theodore Long showed up and said “Sorry I’m late” to Vickie Guerrero. Vickie scolded Theodore Long for showing up late and not answering her phone calls all day. Vickie said when they were done that Long should report to her office. Long said he was late because he was summoned to WWE headquarters in Stamford, CT. Long said they also asked to see Vickie, but she blew off the appointment. Long said he answered all of their questions about Vickie’s relationship with Edge here on SmackDown!. Vickie said everything she does is for the benefit of SmackDown!. Theodore Long said the board of directors sees it a little bit differently, and read a statement: “Miss Guerrero, in response to your recent actions as GM of SmackDown!, more specifically involving your dubious decision to strip the Undertaker of the World Heavyweight championship, we the board of directors of World Wrestling Entertainment have decided to take disciplinary action against you. You have an option, either compete in your first wrestling match tonight and keep your position, or chose not to compete at which time you will be removed immediately as General Manager of SmackDown!” Long said if Vickie decides to walk away then he knows someone who would love to take over. Vickie Guerrero said “Over my dead body” and yelled at Long for going behind her back. Vickie fired Long on the spot! Long said “You can’t fire me, because I QUIT!” Long finished by saying that Vickie’s opponent tonight would be the Undertaker!
GRUDGE MATCH
C.M. Punk defeated Chuck Palumbo: C.M. Punk will team with Kane to challenge for the WWE Tag Team titles against John Morrison and Mike “The Miz” Mizanin at Judgment Day this Sunday.
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Vickie Guerrero & Edge (w/Family) + Montel Vontavious Porter + Fit Finlay: Montel Vontavious Porter came in and complained to Vickie Guerrero about the Championship Chase “B.S.” last week. Fit Finlay came in right behind MVP and stirred the pot. The Big Show came in sarcastically applauding Edge & Vickie for pulling that scam last week. The Big Show said Vickie deserves what she gets tonight. Vickie didn’t appreciate the tone, and told MVP to find a parter to faced Finlay and Big Show in a tag team match. Chavo confronted Vickie and Edge about treating him like a pawn last week like everybody else. Vickie said they need to plan for tonight, and Chavo said okay we’ll make a plan TOGETHER, like a FAMILY does.

Michelle McCool defeated Layla El by Submission: Michelle McCool has debuted a new submission hold (for her) called the Heel-hook, to counter the famous Sharp-shooter utilized by Natalya Neidhart.

Batista: Batista said he didn’t think he was going to have to come out and talk about Shawn Michaels any more but things changed when he saw what happened on RAW. Batista said Shawn’s knee was never hurt, and said he has no plans on Sunday so he just might show up at Judgment Day.

Kofi Kingston & Eve Torres & Matt Hardy + Shelton Benjamin: Kofi Kingston and Eve Torres praised Matt Hardy for his new DVD and wished him luck. When Eve walked away, Matt Hardy took a long look and remarked “I love her.” Shelton Benjamin burst Matt Hardy’s bubble and said the Hardy Boyz are a thing of the past. Matt Hardy totally got under Shelton’s skin by pointing out that Kofi Kingston has defeated him a couple of times recently.

The Undertaker vs. Edge & Vickie Guerrero & Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins ended in a No Contest: Before the match, Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely walked out on Edge and the rest of the Family. The Undertaker slowly dismantled Edge, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins before turning his attention to Vickie Guerrero. Undertaker grabbed Vickie by the throat and pulled her out of her wheelchair, but Edge came to her rescue and speared the Undertaker! Edge pulled Vickie Guerrero to safety and the whole Family retreated backstage.
