Video: A clip of CM Punk talking to WWE recruits on WWE LFG. WWE LFG premieres on A&E this Sunday.
CM Punk addresses the Elimination Chamber
CM Punk is standing in the ring. A “CM Punk” chant fires up. Punk will be in the Elimination Chamber with John Cena and Drew McIntyre. Punk says it’s great to be alive on a Monday night in Nashville, Tennessee. It’s obvious that they are on the Road to WrestleMania. If you were to ask him a few weeks ago, he’d have told them with all the confidence in the world that he was going to win the Royal Rumble. Sometimes, he talks too much (Maffew). Punk is disappointed. He’s not mad at Jey Uso. Punk likes watching his peers accomplish his goals. His goal is still WrestleMania. Jey Uso declared he would go after Gunther’s World Heavyweight Championship.
A few weeks ago, he told Cody Rhodes he wouldn’t stab him in the back; he’d stab him in the front. Well, now he has to. Punk says he’s in the Elimination Chamber now. Punk was not happy that John Cena got into the Elimination Chamber without having to qualify. The bad news for Cena is Punk had to bust his ass to qualify. Punk is going to beat the living crap out of Cena and go to WrestleMania to cash in the only way he knows how. The other man who has qualified for the Elimination Chamber is that piece of garbage, Drew McIntyre. McIntyre ran to SmackDown after Hell in a Cell. Next, we have someone he doesn’t even like to namedrop: Seth Rollins. Rollins is taking on Finn Bálor. Either could win, but Punk will win no matter what. He’s never been more confident in his life.
Punk points to the WrestleMania sign. WrestleMania 41 belongs to one man: CM Punk.
Logan Paul’s music hits to interrupt Punk. Punk remarks that he didn’t know whose music that was (to be honest, I didn’t either). Punk sits on the top turnbuckle and laughs. Paul says he sees why they call him a Punk, although he can come up with a bunch of better names. Unfortunately, he can’t say it on TV. What Paul cannot understand is the crowd booing him. They cheer Punk. Why? Punk talked trash about him, and Paul threw him over the top rope in the Royal Rumble the next night. That was the best fifteen minutes of Punk’s career. Paul had Punk’s number at the Royal Rumble and will have it at Elimination Chamber. Tonight, it’s Rey Mysterio’s turn for fifteen minutes of fame.
Punk compares Paul’s heat to Dominik Mysterio. Punk says he would have mentioned Paul in his promo but forgot he was in the match. If Paul is lucky enough to get by Rey Mysterio and the 619, he’ll put him to sleep in Toronto.
Rey Mysterio makes his entrance and embraces CM Punk in the aisleway. The main event is next.
