“Then. Now. Forever. Together.” The WWE video leads us into the show.
A “Happy Holidays” edition of the Raw video plays, and we go into the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa to see a big pyrotechnics display. The stage is decorated with Christmas trees and presents.
The Creed Brothers will challenge The Judgment Day for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven will defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Kayden Carter and Katana Chance. Shinsuke Nakamura will deliver the American Nightmare before Christmas. Finally, “The Ring General” Gunther will defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship against The Miz.
The Judgment Day makes their way to the ring. Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Finn Bálor and Damian Priest head to the ring alongside Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh.
Damian Priest welcomes everyone to Monday Night Raw and tells them to rise for the Judgment Day. Finn Bálor sarcastically puts over the Creed Brothers for becoming the #1 Contenders for the Undisputed Tag Team Championship. For them, it’ll be the biggest match of their careers and the biggest night of their lives. For Priest and Bálor, it’s just another night at the office because they’re stepping in the ring with the only two-time Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions of the World.
Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley takes the microphone. She warns Ivy Nile not to run her mouth, or she’ll make what she did to her friend Maxxine Dupri pale in comparison. It’s as simple as this: the Judgment Day ran 2023 and will continue to run 2024. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio starts to speak, but the crowd boos him down. Mysterio shouts that the Judgment Day runs all of WWE.
R-Truth comes out wearing a Judgment Day shirt with his name written on tape over it. R-Truth welcomes everyone to the show and gets in the ring. R-Truth thinks he’s in Judgment Day. The beatdown last week was his initiation. R-Truth isn’t one to complain, but they crossed a line a little bit. He was hurt physically and emotionally. R-Truth calls Priest “DP” and says he knows he didn’t mean it when he said he didn’t like him. JD McDonagh says if getting hurt is what R-Truth is worried about, he should get out of the ring now.
R-Truth says it seems like everyone is looking for a fight. Ripley wants to beat up Nile, while Bálor and Priest want to beat up the Creed Brothers. R-Truth needs someone to beat up on. R-Truth then stares at McDonagh. R-Truth says he’s seeing the Christmas trees and lights. There is a lot of animosity between him and McDonagh. They need to squash the beef to be a happy family in a Miracle on 34th Street Fight. McDonagh says the match was already made and advertised. R-Truth says 34th Street is far away and asks Siri how far it is. McDonagh says it’s happening in this ring and says R-Truth isn’t in the Judgment Day. R-Truth says he’s not in the Judgment Day if he loses his match, but McDonagh isn’t if he doesn’t win. This will be a “Loser Leaves the Judgment Day Match.” Priest looks amused and says it’s good to go. McDonagh says he’ll need a miracle to beat him.

Mysterio sweeps R-Truth’s feet and inadvertently sends R-Truth’s head into McDonagh’s crotch. Mysterio pulls R-Truth out of the ring, but R-Truth reverses a whip into the steps. Mysterio falls into a Christmas tree on the way down.
R-Truth sprays McDonagh in the eyes with a fire extinguisher and sets up the table in the ring. R-Truth positions it near the corner of the ring. R-Truth takes it to McDonagh before hitting John Cena’s diving shoulder tackles and a back suplex powerbomb. John Cena was R-Truth’s childhood hero. McDonagh fights back, but R-Truth takes him down and hits a 5 Knuckle Shuffle. R-Truth goes for an Attitude Adjustment, but McDonagh slides off. R-Truth sends McDonagh out of the ring and grabs a Christmas tree. Mysterio blocks a swing, and the tree hits McDonagh. R-Truth gets McDonagh in the ring and on the table. R-Truth climbs to the second rope, but McDonagh slides off the table and attacks him. R-Truth fights back, but McDonagh head-butts him in the face. McDonagh tries to pull R-Truth off the ropes, but R-Truth falls on top of him through the table. 1… 2… 3! R-Truth is victorious, and JD McDonagh is apparently out of the Judgment Day.

Nia Jax addresses “The Man” Becky Lynch
Nia Jax is in the ring when we return from the break. Before she can say a word, “The Man” Becky Lynch makes her way to the ring. Lynch heads to the ring, and Jax leaves. Lynch asks where she’s going. If Jax has something to say, she can say it to her face. Jax says as much as she’d love to break her face again, she has more important matters to deal with. Before Lynch interrupted her, she was going to announce that she was entering the Royal Rumble. Lynch says no one cares. They might care that Jax is here (they don’t), but they might care that Lynch is here (they do). The Man has come around to Des Moines and is looking for a fight.
Jax says the reason they’ve never fought is because they are afraid of what she’d do to Lynch. Lynch is the moneymaker of this company. If they went one-on-one, that would end. Lynch is the size of her leg. She would squash her and break her face again. Lynch says she’s the moneymaker because she’ll fight anyone at any time and anywhere. It’s not “them” that are scared. It’s Jax because her entire existence her has been on the backs of others’ names. First, it was her cousin’s, and now it’s Lynch’s. Her only claim to fame is that she broke the nose of the greatest to ever do it. Jax doesn’t want this fight because there will be no “Woman who made The Man.” It’s just a woman who lost to the greatest to ever do it. If Jax wants to prove everyone wrong, she can fight her.
Jax calls for a referee, and one runs down. Jax heads to the ring and gets on the apron. Jax goes to get into the ring and then gets off the apron. Jax tells Lynch to recognize how badly she wants this because she’ll never get it. This will happen on her terms and will happen in her hometown of San Diego, California. In two weeks on Day 1, they will fight. After she breaks Lynch’s face, Lynch’s daughter will be crying and wondering why mommy is uglier than normal. Jax walks off, and Lynch attacks her from behind. WWE security pulls Lynch off, and Jax clubs Lynch from behind. Jax happily walks off and looks at her devastating right hand.

Rollins welcomes Des Moines to Monday Night Rollins. Iowa sings to him. Things have been heating up for this Iowa boy. After his little confrontation last week, he’s feeling more motivated than he ever has to continue being the best World Champion in this entire industry. Rollins doesn’t know whether to believe him or call him out on his crap. Rollins respects him. McIntyre came to him after Crown Jewel. McIntyre said he would earn his way back to the World Heavyweight Championship and has done that. As much as McIntyre needs this, what makes him think the outcome this time will be any different? McIntyre says he’ll do whatever it takes. Is he willing to cheat? Lie? Hurt people? Take shortcuts? McIntyre has changed in that regard, but he’s still the same. McIntyre still wants to point the finger at everyone else. McIntyre will do whatever it takes except the one thing it takes to be a champion: take responsibility for your actions. McIntyre needs to look in the mirror and face the reality that the only person keeping Drew McIntyre from being a World Champion is Drew McIntyre.
Last week, he looked a man in the eye and told him he hated him. This week, he’s looking Drew McIntyre in the eyes and doesn’t hate him. He pities him. Rollins says, “Merry Christmas, Drew.
