“Then. Now. Forever. Together.” The WWE video leads us into the show.
We go live into the KeyBank Center to hear the music of the Judgment Day. Finn Bálor makes his way to the ring without his Judgment Day compatriots.
Video Package: “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio challenged Seth “Freakin” Rollins to a match last week on Raw, but it was stopped by Damian Priest. Priest went to cash in his Money in the Bank contract, but Finn Bálor ran in and knocked Rollins into Priest. This interrupted the cash-in. The Judgment Day’s music hits, making everyone think Damian Priest is coming out. Instead, it is Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley and “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio. Ripley asks what is going on. She knows that Bálor has some unfinished business he would love to discuss, but they won’t do it out here. Whatever it is, they can do it in the back. She’s still the most dominant woman in WWE. Tonight, her Latino Heat will finish his business when he puts down Seth “Freakin” Rollins. Mysterio goes to speak, but he’s LOUDLY booed out of the building! Mysterio angrily paces in the ring.
World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins’ music hits, and he comes out to the stage eating buffalo wings. Mysterio shouts for Rollins’ music to be cut. Rollins says no one is out here to hear Mysterio run his mouth. We’re here to party, eat buffalo wings, and watch the Judgment Day implode right before our very eyes. Mysterio says the only thing that will implode is Rollins’ head when he beats him tonight. The crowd loudly boos. Rollins incredulously says Mysterio is going to beat him. Rollins then cackles into the microphone, causing Ripley to seethe with anger. Rollins says he has some bad news for Mami. Tonight, he’ll be the only one whipping little Dom-Dom’s ass. Rollins dances off while eating his wings.
Later tonight, we’ll see Rollins face Mysterio. Ricochet and Logan Paul will also have a face-to-face confrontation. We’ll also take a look at the Tribal Court segment from this past Friday’s SmackDown. Last week, Brock Lesnar returned, but Cody Rhodes put him down. We’ll hear from Rhodes later tonight.

Priest would never have cashed in on him. They can go back to handling their business or… Bálor says they can have a fresh start under one condition. Bálor has issues with Seth “Freakin” Rollins and wants him first. Priest says he has no problem with that. Priest knows Bálor can beat Rollins. Either way, it’s covered. Tonight, he’s here for one individual person: Logan Paul. The crowd loudly boos. Ricochet says he feels the same way. Ricochet knows Logan Paul is here. Paul has accomplished a lot in his short time in the WWE. They’ve crossed paths on multiple occasions. One of those occasions was Paul jumping him after Money in the Bank because “little Logan” didn’t get his way. Ricochet is cool with that, but he’s not cool with Paul going on his podcast about Ricochet being unprofessional when he admitted he didn’t know what he was doing in the first place. They do it big here. They don’t do it on social media. If Paul has something to say to him, he can say it to him face-to-face.

At Money in the Bank, all the cronies cared more about Logan Paul losing than winning. Ricochet blew the match for both of them. That makes Ricochet a reckless amateur. If Ricochet wants to talk unprofessional, Paul can do that.
Ricochet says he was. He’s a man of the people. Ricochet promises that none of the people want Paul near that Money in the Bank briefcase. Ricochet says Paul keeps saying the word “unprofessional.” Ricochet says he wouldn’t be in this ring after 20 years of people telling him he’ll never be anything if he was unprofessional. A “Logan sucks” chant fires up. Ricochet says he was going to do the professional thing and challenge Paul to a match, but now that he’s out here and he sees Paul’s stupid face, all he wants to do is hurt him. Ricochet will do that, but he has some advice for the rookie: “Don’t you ever run your damn mouth about Ricochet again.”
Paul says he’ll never be intimidated by a dude in an extra medium button-up that’s 90% forehead. Ricochet is clever, and Paul respects it. Ricochet wants a match with Paul so he can go viral. Paul doesn’t care about going viral. Logan Paul is a WWE Superstar. Paul has a legendary knockout punch. Ricochet is about replays and clips. This isn’t going to work out between them.
Ricochet is furious and does a somersault flip over the top rope before landing on his feet at ringside! Paul says that was cool for a TikTok, but he’s not here to make moments. Paul is the moment. This isn’t going to work out. Paul turns around but then goes for a sucker punch. Ricochet avoids it and hits Paul with Sliced Bread #2 on the floor! Ricochet shouts at Paul and walks off. Cody Rhodes delivers a special message to Brock Lesnar
“Wrestling has more than one royal family.”
“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring to a big reaction. The crowd happily sings his song. Rhodes says, “So, Buffalo, whattaya guys want to talk about?” Rhodes says there are millions of people sitting at home, but he asks if they can indulge him as he turns his back to look at everyone here tonight. Rhodes looks to the crowd, and they shower him with praise. A “Cody” chant picks up. Rhodes says he sees them and hopes they can see him. Sometimes it feels like there’s an invisible wall between him and the crowd, but he doesn’t feel that way. The reason it feels like that and doesn’t feel performative is because what he has been telling them since he returned is real. They’re not just talking about career goals. They’re talking about life goals. Someone asked him in the United Kingdom about his momentum. Rhodes answered politely and was cagey. Rhodes cited the fans. Every city is sold out, and every crowd is louder and louder. Every metric you can judge him by, he’s doing ok. Rhodes thinks his momentum in the ring is shaky because of the mountain that stands in front of him. It’s a mountain he cannot go over, under, or around. You can only go through it. Rhodes is talking about Brock Lesnar.
Lesnar is not here tonight, and didn’t think Buffalo was worth the trip. Rhodes was told Lesnar will be here next week. Rhodes made a discovery about Mr. Lesnar. Everybody has a Brock Lesnar. Fear of heights? Terrible anxiety? Terrible student debt? Brock Lesnar! We all have it. It’s impeding us from the most important step we need to take. His Lesnar is 6’3?, 285 pounds, and a walking billboard for Darwinism and Natural Selection. “Some men see things the way they are and say why. Others dream things and say why not?” Rhodes dreams about a rubber match against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
Nothing would make Rhodes happier if Lesnar came to the ring, shook his head, and knew it wasn’t personal. Even if they don’t shake hands, he’s going to finish the chapter that Lesnar started for no damn reason. The reason is simple. Why would anyone want another match against Brock Lesnar? What comes from that fight? What emerges from that cloud of dust is simple. That guy is next in line. That prince doesn’t want to be the prince forever. Rhodes will be next in line! Rhodes’s music hits.
