“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.
We go live into the WWE ThunderDome. Tonight, Randy Orton will defend his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre. We’ll also see The New Day defend the Raw Tag Team Championship against The Hurt Business.
Drew McIntyre makes his way to the ring. McIntyre’s appearance on SmackDown is highlighted. McIntyre confronted Roman Reigns, who he could potentially face at Survivor Series if he’s victorious for the WWE Championship tonight.
McIntyre welcomes everyone to Monday Night Raw. This Sunday is WWE Survivor Series. Since its inception, it’s been an American Thanksgiving tradition. Since he’s been in America for a third of his life, he loves Thanksgiving. You hang out with family and friends and talk about what you’re thankful for. McIntyre grew up in front of the WWE Universe. McIntyre is thankful for family and friends he can lean on. He’s thankful for his fans and the WWE ThunderDome for bringing them closer together. McIntyre asks the ThunderDome if they’re ready for him to Claymore Kick Randy Orton’s head off, and they “cheer.” McIntyre also thanks the haters and doubters because they can read between the lines.
Speaking of doubters, he paid the head of the table Roman Reigns a visit to let him know he doesn’t have to worry about Randy Orton since he’ll be WWE Champion. Reigns didn’t care about Orton or him. Reigns doesn’t care about anybody but himself. Reigns has put himself so high on a pedestal with his head so far up his own ass. McIntyre will win the WWE Championship, go to Survivor Series, climb up, and Claymore Kick him down to earth. McIntyre will humble Reigns.
WWE Champion Randy Orton appears on the big screen. Orton says he heard McIntyre talking about what he’s thankful for. Orton wants to say what he’s thankful for. Orton is thankful for being a 14-time WWE World Champion, but he’s also thankful that the fine handed to him for putting his hands on Adam Pearce didn’t impact him. For 20 years, he has been getting fined. Orton has been fined and suspended more than any WWE Superstar that has been contracted. Orton has been at home on his couch longer than 80% of the roster has been in the ring. Why is he still here with everything he’s done? Orton is still the best and on top because he is the greatest wrestler ever. Orton is going to prove it again, just like he did at Hell in a Cell. Orton will prove it when he walks out after beating McIntyre still WWE Champion.
McIntyre says Orton forgot to mention the three most deadly letters in sports-entertainment R-K-O. They’ve done this so long they can finish each other’s sentences. Tonight, McIntyre isn’t falling off Hell in a Cell. Tonight, he’ll be WWE Champion. McIntyre goes to leave the ring, but…
…The Miz and John Morrison come out to the stage. Miz asks if Morrison knows the date. It’s November 16, which means there is an all-new episode of “Miz & Mrs” airing after Raw. It’s got nothing to do with Hell in a Cell because that’s in the past. The present and future are way more interesting. It happens to be them because Miz is Mr. Money in the Bank. Miz keeps saying, “Cooooorrect!” Miz says he’ll be front row for tonight’s match after pulling some strings. McIntyre threatens him if he gets involved in the match. Miz says the possibilities of change are incredible tonight. The WWE Championship could change hands. It’s clear that the hands holding the title will belong to The Miz. Miz mentions “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt going missing. Morrison says he realized Miz is inevitable. Miz says change is coming tonight.
McIntyre asks Miz if he knows the difference between him and Orton. Orton is patient whereas he is not. Miz says McIntyre cost himself the WWE Championship. McIntyre angrily approaches them, so they hop out of the ring. Miz says McIntyre gave too many title opportunities when he was champion. Tonight, whether McIntyre wins or loses, he’ll be laughing all the way to the bank. Miz and Morrison laugh as they walk off. McIntyre coldly stares at them.
