IN THE RING
John Cena: John Cena announced that WWE has suspended C.M. Punk indefinitely for his controversial comments last week, so they need a new number one contender. Cena said WWE threw together a triple threat match to decide a replacement. Cena said as for Punk they are supposed to sweep him under the rug and pretend that he never existed. Cena said he never saw eye-to-eye with Punk, but the WWE’s decision sucks. Cena talked about Punk’s concept of loyalty to the brand. Cena said Punk was suspended for speaking his mind, and telling the fans how he feels. Cena said Punk’s outburst was at his expense, but he found nothing wrong with it. Cena asked where does the WWE stop? Cena talked about Daniel Bryan being fired a while back for being too aggressive, and how WWE representatives confiscate signs from the crowd – and now Punk is suspended for speaking his mind? The crowd started chanted “5th amendment.” Cena wondered what it would be like if he wasn’t allowed to be himself. Cena said he wanted answers from Vince McMahon, who is on his way and promises to be in the building. Cena said he wants answers so Vince has some explaining to do tonight! Cena made it known that he still wants to fight C.M. Punk at Money in the Bank!

Scott Stanford & R-Truth + Alberto Del Rio: R-Truth said because he defeated John Cena last week he should be awarded another title shot (instead of having to earn it). Alberto came in and said it was his destiny to win the WWE championship!
NON (WWE TAG TEAM) TITLE MATCH
WWE Tag Team champions The New Nexus (David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty) defeated Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov: The New Nexus came out to C.M. Punk’s music. After the match, Zack Ryder came out and told the Nexus “woo woo woo, you know it!”
PREVIEW: The RAW Money in the Bank match at the PPV will consist of Kofi Kingston, Rey Mysterio, Evan Bourne, Alberto Del Rio, R-Truth, Jack Swagger, Alex Riley, and The Miz!
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Scott Stanford & The Miz: The Miz said he could have gotten rid of Alex Riley a long time ago but he kept him around and gave him an opportunity. The Miz said he brought Riley into the WWE and promised to take him out!
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Evan Bourne & Sgt. Slaughter + Jack Swagger: Evan & Sarge talked about the 4th of July when they were interrupted by Jack Swagger. Swagger reminded everyone that Sarge sided with Iraq during the Gulf war. They set up a match for later between Sarge and Swagger.

Jack Swagger defeated Sgt. Slaughter: After the match, Jack Swagger put Sgt. Slaughter in the ankle lock until Evan Bourne ran down to make the save! Evan handed the microphone to Slaughter so he could say the Pledge of Alligence.

Dolph Ziggler & Vickie Guerrero + Kofi Kingston: They ring had some party stuff set up to celebrate the birthday of the United States of America. Vickie explained that since Dolph Ziggler was the United States champion he should get a birthday too. Vickie ordered the crowd to stand up and sing for Dolph. Vickie led the crowd in a terrible rendition of Happy Birthday. She has gotten pretty skinny but she’s still ugly as sin. Dolph said he doesn’t have a wish but has a few things to say. Dolph said the people don’t know how good they have it, witnessing the greatest WWE Superstar in history in his prime. Dolph said there will never be another Dolph Ziggler. Dolph said forget Punk, forget Cena, forget the WWE title, because as long as he is United States champion that’s the only title that matters. Kofi Kingston interrupted and said without Vickie in his corner, Dolph cannot beat him. Dolph said he and Kofi used to be equals but now he has left Kofi in the dust. Kofi pushed Dolph into Vickie, who landed ass-first into the birthday cake. Dolph and Kofi started fighting and Vickie ended up face down in the cake.

GRUDGE MATCH
Alex Riley defeated Mike “The Miz” Mizanin: Alex Riley upset The Miz for the second time! After the match, Miz snapped and attacked Riley! Miz destroyed Riley for several minutes to get out months of frustration.
IN THE RING
Vince McMahon + WWE champion John Cena: All night they were hyping Vince’s arrival, and he showed up just in time for this segment. Vince said he doesn’t owe anyone an explanation, but he suspended C.M. Punk because he deserved it. Vince said it wasn’t necessarily about Punk’s comments concerning his family. Vince claimed that he did it to do what’s right for the fans. Vince claimed that Punk’s contract was set to expire, and he was making too many demands. Vince said from his standpoint, C.M. Punk is a PUNK. Vince thanked the fans and hyped next week’s RAW in Boston. John Cena hit the ring to confront Mr. McMahon. Cena asked Vince if that was it? Cena said Vince is all about freedom of speech. Cena said Vince has always been a fighter. Cena said Vince took down “Turner” because he was a fighter. Cena asked what happened to Vince McMahon, the fighter? Cena asked if the famouse grapefruits are now peach pits? Cena said he still wants to fight C.M. Punk. Cena said if Vince doesn’t feel like fighting, “maybe you should hang it up, old man!” That seemed to get under Vince’s skin. Vince said he didn’t want to take a chance on Cena, because he knows Punk can beat Cena. Vince said he doesn’t want to take calculated risks. Cena talked about the posibility of Punk taking the WWE title to another wrestling company. Cena said he won’t guarantee a victory but Punk earned the match and the fans want to see it. Cena said God forbid we embarass Vince McMahon. Cena said Money in the Bank could be the biggest PPV of the year! Cena said it could be the match of the year and Vince won’t let it happen because some kid said something he didn’t like. Vince said this was not to be done in public and told Cena not to piss him off. Vince told Cena not to be a HOGAN. Vince told Cena to talk to him one-on-one. Cena said Vince should do the match and give the people what they want, but Vince’s ego is getting in the way! Vince said he doesn’t give a damn what the people want, because he will not jeapordize his company. Vince said the WWE was his company, and he does what’s right for the company and the people. Vince said his decision was a good one. Cena said he gets it, it’s Vince’s company, but that’s not what he signed up for. Cena said he busts his ass for Vince because he likes to think the WWE title stands for something. Cena said Punk earned his title shot and Vince kicks him to the curb then he’s made the title meaningless. Cena handed the title to Vince and walked off. Vince stopped Cena at the top of the ramp and joined him there. Vince said he hates that it has come to this, but agreed to make the match! Vince said if C.M. Punk walks out of Chicago with the WWE championship he will walk down to the ring and say “John Cena, you’re fired!”
