WWE RAW ROULETTE – June 27, 2011 – Las Vegas, Nevada
REVIEWED BY BRAD DYKENS

BACKSTAGE: Booker T will be overseeing the RAW Roulette wheel tonight. Each match will have a special stipulation set by a random spin of the wheel!

IN THE RING
WWE Hall of Famer “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels + The New Nexus (C.M. Punk & Michael McGillicutty & David Otunga): Follow the Heartbreak Kid on Twitter at www.twitter.com/ShawnMichaels_ — — — Shawn was happy to be back in a WWE ring, saying he tried to stay away but he just couldn’t do it! Shawn asked how he could possibly leave all THIS. Shawn said he tried, but it’s tough, you can’t just stop cold turkey after 20 years. Shawn said he missed the WWE Universe, acknowledging it was the fans who made him who he is today. Shawn showed off his Hall of Fame ring to the camera. Shawn said he was not the guest host, but it has bothered him that guest hosts show up to plug something they’re doing. Shawn said the last thing he wanted to do was plug his new show that debuts tomorrow night on the Outdoor channel called Shawn Michaels McMillen River Adventures. They also plugged Shawn’s twitter on the screen again. C.M. Punk came out with Nexus members Michael McGillicutty & David Otunga. Shawn held his ground. Punk mocked Shawn for not staying away, saying his personality is so addictive. Punk said July 17th would be his last day and he means it. Shawn said after that day the fans will never see Punk again and the fans cheered. Punk made fun of Shawn Michaels retiring as a loser, but saying he (Punk) would go out a winner, and a WWE champion. Shawn said he was sure John Cena would have a problem with that. Punk said he beat Cena live on RAW two weeks ago, so he has no doubt that he will leave the WWE with Cena’s championship at Money in the Bank. Punk said it was sad that the fans would get on their feet for the past and not get on their knees and beg the future to stay. Shawn said the reason the fans cheer him is because they know he’s better than Punk. The fans began to chant “one more match!” Punk said Shawn WAS better than him, but there’s no one in the back who can hold a candle to him now. Punk asked if that was a challenge from Shawn? Punk said Shawn used to be a brash Superstar, and they are a lot alike. Shawn cut him off, saying they were not alike, but have similarities. Shawn said they don’t smoke, don’t drink, don’t do drugs. Punk added “ANYMORE” in reference to Shawn’s history and Shawn replied “fair enough.” Shawn said Punk has his style and he has his, then suddely knocked David Otunga out cold with a super-kick! Punk said Shawn just made the biggest mistake of his life. Suddenly, the Anonymous RAW General Manager chimed in with an email, which was read by Michael Cole. The G.M. said that since Punk only has three RAW’s left, they would make them count. The G.M. booked Punk in a match right now!

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Booker T talked about all the stipulations on the wheel; special guest referee match, submission match, steel cage match, pillow fight match, just to name a few. Booker T spun the wheel and it landed on QUESTION MARK match – a mystery opponent. Booker T said Punk was going to face Kane (Kane just happened to be standing there next to the wheel). Back inside the ring, Shawn Michaels super-kicked Michael McGillicutty, leaving Punk to fight Kane all by himself!

RAW ROULETTE MATCH (PUNK’S MYSTERY OPPONENT)
Kane defeated C.M. Punk by countout: The crowd chanted for C.M. Punk at certain points during the match. Punk walked out of the match and took a loss via countout, since he is already the number one contender and has nothing to gain.

RAW ROULETTE MATCH (NO COUNTOUT MATCH)
Sin Cara defeated Evan Bourne: They said the servers crashed last week during the “Power to the People” episode, causing a mistake in the voting for Evan Bourne’s opponent (Mason Ryan). They said THIS was the match the fans really wanted to see so they’re going it to the fans tonight! Backstage, Booker T got Eve Torres to spin the wheel, and it landed on a No-Countout match.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Booker T allowed Kofi Kingston to spin the wheel to determine teh stipulation for his match with Dolph Ziggler. Vickie Guerrero came in and spun the wheel instead, and it landed on Player’s Choice – which meant Kofi gets to pick the stipulation. Kofi said he wanted to face Dolph one-on-one with Vickie banned from ringside!

RAW ROULETTE MATCH (PLAYERS CHOICE MATCH – VICKIE BANNED)
Kofi Kingston defeated WWE United States champion Dolph Ziggler in a Non-title match: Vickie came out to introduce Dolph Ziggler, but she was dragged away by a team of referees.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Booker T was talking to Maryse backstage when Alberto Del Rio came in complaining about having to face the Big Show again. Booker T said he doesn’t make the matches. Maryse got to spin the wheel, and she said she has a lot in common with Alberto. While she was flirting, the wheel landed on Steel Cage match! Alberto was upset. Maryse ran away. Booker T said “tell me, she didn’t just spin that!”

RAW ROULETTE MATCH (STEEL CAGE MATCH)
Alberto Del Rio defeated The Big Show: Late in the match, the Big Show performed a Superplex shaking the entire cage. Suddenly, Mark Henry showed up and ripped the cage door off its hinges (sort of). Mark brought the door into the cage and attacked the Big Show. Alberto crawled out of the ring to escape and win the match! Back inside the ring, Mark Henry rammed Big Show with the cage door, causing the side of the cage to collapse, sending Big Show fallout down to the floor. Mark yelled “you think I’m playin’?” Big Show was out cold as Mark went ballistic. Michael Cole pointed out that this was becoming a common happening for Big Show lately.

RAW ROULETTE MATCH (SUBMISSION MATCH)
WWE Diva’s champion Kelly Kelly defeated Nikki Bella w/Brie Bella by submission in a Non-title match: Booker T spun the wheel, and it landed on Submission match (oh great!). Kelly survived an Arm-bar and used the Boston-crab to make Nikki tap out! Brie attacked Kelly after the match and was quickly joined by Nikki for a double-team until Eve Torres made the save!

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Booker T was talking to Rey Mysterio, who spun the wheel and it landed on Tornado match. Rey went to prepare for his match and Booker T looked at someone off camera. It was DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE!! DDP plugged the Very best of WCW Nitro DVD, which he hosted. DDP was looking like Roddy Piper. Booker & DDP talked about old times, before they were interrupted by Drew McIntyre. Drew said they were washed up and were taking up his TV time. Drew asked them to leave or they will be leaving on stretchers. Shawn came in and super-kicked Drew out cold! Shawn looked at the DVD and said he had not seen a single episode of WCW Nitro, because he was working that night!

RAW ROULETTE MATCH (TORNADO MATCH)
Rey Mysterio & Alex Riley defeated Mike “The Miz” Mizanin & Jack Swagger:

BACKSTAGE SEGMENT: Truth seems to be talking to an imaginary friend now. Booker T asked R-Truth to spin the wheel. Truth examined the wheel in search of any “conspiracies.” The wheel landed on Tables match and Truth said he can dig that! Truth said tonight John Cena is gonna get GOT!

RAW ROULETTE MATCH (TABLES MATCH)
R-Truth defeated WWE champion John Cena in a Non-title match: The finish saw C.M. Punk run down and interfere, fighting with John Cena, allowing R-Truth to spear Cena through a table! Truth quickly retreated grasping his head for some reason. Punk grabbed a microphone and sat cross-legged on the stage to deliver the promo of the century!

ON STAGE
C.M. Punk (transcript): John Cena, while you lay there, hopefully as uncomfortable as you possibly can be.. I want you to listen to me. I want you to digest this because before I leave in three weeks with your WWE championship, I have a lot of things I want to get off my chest. I don’t hate you, John. I don’t even dislike you. I do like you. I like you a hell of a lot more than I like most people in the back. I hate this idea that you’re the best, because you’re not! I’m the best. I’m the best in the world! There’s one thing you’re better at than I am and that’s kissing Vince McMahon’s ass. You’re as good as kissing Vince McMahon’s ass as Hulk Hogan was. I don’t know if you’re as good as Dwayne though, he’s a pretty good ass kisser – always was and still is. Whoops! I’m breaking the fourth wall! (Punk waves to the camera) – – I am the best wrestler in the world. I’ve been the best ever since day one when I walked into this company, and I’ve been vilified and hated since that day because Paul Heyman saw something in me that nobody else wanted to admit. That’s right, I’m a Paul Heyman guy! You know who else was a Paul Heyman guy? Brock Lesnar! And he split just like I’m splitting, but the biggest difference between me and Brock is I’m going to leave with the WWE championship. I’ve grabbed so many of Vincent K. McMahon’s imaginary brass rings that it’s finally dawned on me that they are just that, they’re completely imaginary. The only thing that’s real is me and the fact that day in and day out, for almost six years, I have proved to everybody in the world that I am the best on this microphone, in that ring, even in commentary! Nobody can touch me!! And yet, no matter how many times I prove it, I’m not on your lovely little collector cups. I’m not on the cover of the program. I’m barely promoted. I don’t get to be in movies. I’m certainly not on any crappy show on the USA Network. I’m not on the poster of WrestleMania. I’m not on the signature that’s produced at the start of the show. I’m not on Conan O’Brian. I’m not on Jimmy Fallon. But the fact of the matter is, I should be. This isn’t sour grapes, but the fact that Dwayne is in the main event at WrestleMania next year and I’m not makes me sick! Oh hey, let me get something straight. Those of you who are cheering me right now, you are just as big a part of me leaving as anything else, because you’re the ones who are sipping on those collector cups right now. You’re the ones that buy those programs that my face isn’t on the cover of. And then at five in the morning at the airport, you try to shove it in my face and get an autograph and try to sell it on eBay because you’re too lazy to go get a real job. I’m leaving with the WWE championship on July 17th, and hell, who knows, maybe I’ll go defend it in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Maybe I’ll go back to Ring of Honor. (Punk looks at the camera and waves) “Hey, Colt Cabana, how you doing?” The reason I’m leaving is you people, because after I’m gone, you’re still going to pour money into this company. I’m just a spoke on the wheel; the wheel is going to keep turning and I understand that. Vince McMahon is going to make money despite himself. He’s a millionaire who should be a billionaire. You know why he’s not a billionaire? It’s because he surrounds himself with glad-handed, non-sensical, douchebag (asshole) yes men, like John Laurinaitis, who’s going to tell him everything he wants to hear. And I’d like to think that maybe this company will be better after Vince McMahon is dead, but the fact is, it’s going to be taken over by his idiotic daughter and his doofus son-in-law and the rest of his stupid family. Let me tell you a personal story about Vince McMahon alright. We do this whole (anti) bully campaign……. (suddenly the mic gets cut off and the show goes off the air).
