The Nexus (Wade Barrett & Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater & Skip Sheffield & David Otunga & Michael Tarver & Darren Young) + John Cena: Wade said that that doesn’t kill them will only make them stronger. Wade said Team WWE narrowly escaped with a victory but The Nexus defeated 6 of the best that RAW had to offer. Wade said rumors of their demise have been greatly exaggerated because they are still here and still ready to dominate. Wade said everyone was so concerned about what would happen if they won SummerSlam that no one worried about what would happen if they lost. Wade said there are consequences to be faced because there will be more suffering, more destruction, and more pain and misery. John Cena came out wearing some purple crap. John said he’s impressed; impressed because Wade talks such a big game. John said Wade has the resolve of Winston Churchill and is as tough as Snookie from Jersey Shore. John said Wade tapped out causing his team to lose. John said The Nexus are the expendables. John said after last night Wade is probably kicking himself in the fish and chips for getting rid of Daniel Bryan. John said Daniel eliminated half of Nexus by himself. John said The Nexus are human and can be beat. John said tonight they will be looked at as individuals. John said David is nothing more than a below average male escort. John said Tarver looks like an MMA bank robber male stripper. John said Heath Slater looks like the chick from Wendys and they showed a picture of him photoshopped onto the Wendys logo. John said the existence of Darren Young proves that his mother had a lusty affair with Buck Wheat. John said Justin Gabriel has an alternative way of thinking. John said he can read Skip’s thoughts and right now he’s thinking about Meow Mix. John said the fear Wade has put into the locker room is gone. John said the indestructible force is finished. John said Darren gave up in under a minute and his name shouldn’t be Darren Young it should be the weakest link. Michael Cole got an email saying that the members of Nexus will be facing the members of team WWE in singles matches. Michael said Nexus isn’t allowed to interfere in each others matches. Wade said this is an opportunity for redemption. Wade said this was a chance to see if there were any weak links in The Nexus and if there are they will be weeded out. Wade said Nexus members who lose tonight will be exiled from the group and one way or another by the end of tonight Nexus will be stronger than ever. David said the rule also applies to Wade. Michael Cole got another email saying that they can choose who faces who except for Wade; Wade will compete next against Chris Jericho.
SINGLES MATCH
Wade Barrett defeated Chris Jericho: Chris exploded on Wade and even spring board drop kicked him out of the ring. Chris kicked Wade in the side of the head outside the ring but Wade knocked him off the top turnbuckle getting back in the ring. Wade beat on Chris until he was able to hit a missile drop kick. Chris went for the Walls but Wade blocked it and went for his finisher but Chris turned that into the Walls. Wade got to the ropes quickly and hit a big boot. Chris went for the codebreaker after hitting an enziguri but Wade reversed it into the fireman’s toss for 3.
IN THE RING
Charlie Day & Justin Long & Jason Sudeikis + Unified Tag Team champions The Hart Dynasty (Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith & Natalya) + Bret “The Hitman” Hart + Wade Barrett & Justin Long: The hosts welcomed everyone to RAW even though the show has been on for like a half hour already. The hosts looked for cheap pops by making bad jokes and talking about the Staples center and the NBA world champions. Jason said something about Miami Heat and pretended he didn’t realize they were booing him. They finally introduced The Hart Dynasty to the ring. Michael Cole got an email saying that the unified tag team title would now be known as the WWE tag team championships, and Bret Hart would present the new titles. Wade showed up on the Tron and said Justin Gabriel would be his opponent for tonight. Justin said Bret has experienced a lot of things but not the 450 splash.
SINGLES MATCH
Michael Tarver defeated Daniel Bryan: Michael cornered Daniel with some jabs but Daniel fought back with a big kick. Daniel kicked the crap out of Michael Tarver and basically destroyed him for several minutes. Miz and Alex Riley came out to distract Daniel so Michael could roll him up for 3. Daniel suicide dove onto Miz but Alex Riley pulled him off and they all beat up Daniel. Miz hit the skull crushing finale on Daniel onto the briefcase.
BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW
Josh Mathews & WWE United States champion Mike “The Miz” Mizanin & Alex Riley: Josh asked Miz to explain his actions. Miz said from the moment Daniel Bryan arrived the WWE Universe has heckled him. Miz said the fans thought Daniel should be his pro. Miz said last night everyone begged him to be on team WWE but then they put him on the back burner for Daniel Bryan. Miz asked how special Daniel was now. Miz said the next WWE breakout star is Alex Riley. Alex said Daniel Bryan is boring and never appreciated The Miz. Alex said he is the next winner of NXT thanks to Miz.
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Darren Young & David Otunga: Darren Young said he wanted to fight John Cena tonight because of what he’s done to him. David said Darren had guts.
SINGLES MATCH
Justin Gabriel defeated Randy Orton by countout: Michael Cole received an email saying that Bret Hart will not be competing tonight. Michael said the GM doesn’t like Bret Hart and doesn’t want to see him compete again. Michael said Justin’s new opponent was on his way to the ring right now. It was Randy Orton. Justin kicked the crap out of Orton but all it did was make him smile. Orton caught Justin’s leg and exploded on him. Orton hit his DDT and got ready for the RKO when Sheamus distracted Orton. Orton went after Sheamus and got counted out. Randy went back to the ring and hit the RKO on Justin. Randy hit Sheamus with a chair a bunch of times. Sheamus finally got up so Randy hit the RKO on him.
TAG TEAM MATCH
Skip Sheffield & David Otunga defeated John Morrison & R-Truth: John and David started out. Truth and Morrison were in control until Skip caught Truth and slammed him down hard. Truth got the hot tag to Morrison. But Skip hit him with his huge clothesline for 3.
SIX DIVA TAG MATCH
Jillian Hall & Alicia Fox & Maryse Ouellet defeated WWE Diva’s champion Melina Perez & Eve Torres & Gail Kim: Gail and Maryse started out. Gail beat the crap out of Maryse before tagging in Melina. Melina took a beating before hot tagging Eve. Jillian managed to powerbomb Eve off the middle rope for 3.
BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW
Josh Mathews & Edge + Heath Slater: Josh asked Edge how important it was handing Nexus their first defeat. Edge said it wasn’t surprising that the team he led got the victory. Heath Slater showed up and Edge told Josh to leave. Heath said he patterns himself around Edge and wanted Edge to not show up for their match. Edge said normally he would do that but he doesn’t want the record books to show that he forfeited to some ginger haired Edge wannabe. Heath took a cheap shot at Edge.
SINGLES MATCH
Heath Slater defeated Edge by countout : Edge beat the living hell out of Heath until Heath knocked him off the top turnbuckle and drop kicked him out of the ring. Heath beat on Edge until he walked right into an Edge O Matic. Edge and Heath took the fight outside and Edge wounded up being counted out. Edge speared Heath after the match.
SINGLES MATCH
John Cena defeated Darren Young: Nexus watched the match from the stage. Darren went for a quick pin early on but Cena kicked out easily. They wrestled back and forth a bit before Darren took over. Darren eventually threw John out of the ring and into the steel steps to try and get John counted out. John finally made it back to the ring and hit all his signature offense on Darren before reversing a roll up into the STF for the win. After the match The Nexus surrounded the ring and let John leave. The Nexus beat the hell out of Darren Young and left him there.
