Josh Boutwell was unable to recap tonight’s Dynamite. He is expected to be back next week.

Tonight’s Road Rager wasn’t a bad show. It was one of the better episodes of Dynamite. I expected Chris Jericho to get his head shaved. The build to Blood and Guts was done well tonight. Eddie Kingston is so over with the fans. Wardlow winning was predictable. ‘

Dax Harwood vs. Will Ospreay was a great match. Both men put on a great performance tonight. The face to face with Jon Moxley and Hiroshi Tanahashi was blah. I expect Moxley to become the new interim champion at Forbidden Door. Miro winning was expected. Ethan Page is not being used like he should. He is better than what he is being presented as. He should have stayed in IMPACT. I don’t think Tony Khan expected Josh Alexander to re-sign with IMPACT and was hoping to bring The North to AEW.

I didn’t expect Toni Storm to go over Brit Baker. It will be interesting to see if this was a one off loss for Baker and what direction she goes next. The exchange with Adam Page, Adam Cole and Jay White was interesting. Cole was expecting to challenge Jay White, but with White saying no, it will be interesting to see what Khan does at Forbidden Door with these three.

The Young Bucks becoming two time Tag Champions is something I did not expect to see tonight. Jurassic Express are so over with the fans. Christian Cage turning on Jurassic Express is something I have been expecting for a while, I just didn’t see it coming tonight. I have never been a big fan of Christian Cage. It looks like he will be in a program with Jungle Boy. I have felt that Khan should give Jungle Boy a great singles run, if not as AEW World Champion, but the TNT Champion. The Bucks are great workers, but don’t need the belts again, unless they are transition champions for a title change at All Out in September.

Other thoughts – Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti joining the Jericho Appreciation Society is basically a newer version of the worn out Inner Circle faction, minus Santana and Ortiz, but with “Cool Hand Ang” Angelo Parker and “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard.

Thank you for reading. Please give us your thoughts of tonight’s AEW Dynamite “Road Rager.”
