Dynamite’s One-Year Anniversary opens with the tag titles on the line.
AEW World Tag Team Championships
FTR (c) (11-0) w/Tully Blanchard vs. Best Friends (17-6)
Sexy Chuckie T kicks things off with Cash Wheeler and Cash takes him down quickly before working his arm over and tagging in Dax Harwood. Dax works on Chuck’s arm but Taylor manages to counter out with a series of armdrags and he locks Dax in an Armbar of his own.
Trent tags in and Best Friends run Dax over with a Double Shoulder Block. Trent puts Dax in an Armbar as Excalibur reveals that Best Friends are the first AEW tag team to compile 20 career wins in the promotion. Dax fights out and connects with a series of chops and European Uppercuts. Dax goes or a Rebound Suplex but Trent counters into a rollup, but Cash tagged Dax before he went over. Cash hangs Trent up in the ropes and then Dax hits a Back Suplex.
Cash and Dax beat on Trent in their corner. Cash hits a Drop Toe Hold followed by an Elbow Drop from Dax for another nearfall. FTR Catapults Trent throat-first into the middle rope and then stomp him down. Trent tries to fight them off but Cash dumps Trent out to the floor. Dax tags in but Trent hits him with a series of elbows. Trent tries to dive to his corner but Dax stops him, pulls him back to the FTR corner and tags Cash in.
Cash puts Trent in an Abdominal Stretch but Trent counters with an Armdrag. Trent tries to fight Cash off to get to his corner but eats a series of uppercuts. Trent ducks a clothesline and connects with a Lariat of his own. Dax knocks Trent off the apron to stop a hot tag and beats Trent down in the corner after tagging himself in. Dax lifts Trent up to the top and hits a Back Superplex off the top.
Cash tags in and attempts a Vader Bomb out of the corner only to eat the knees of Trentylocks. Dax tags in and tries to stop Trent from making the hot tag but Chuck manages to make it and his a house afire. Chuck clotheslines FTR out to the floor and then hits a Somersault Plancha onto both of them!
Back in the ring, Chuck hits a Falcon Arrow for a nearfall. Dax rolls to the apron and Chcuk tries to Suplex him back in but Tully trips him and Dax gets a nearfall. Chuck grabs Tully but eats a knee from behind from Dax. FTR goes for a Double Suplex but Trent catches Chuck and then shoves FTR into each other. Chuck hits a Sunset Flip on Cash for a nearfall. Trent tags in and knees Cash in the heat and then they connect with the Sole Food/Half-and-Half followed by a Shining Knee for a nearfall.
Dax tosses Chuck into the guardrail as Trent hits a series of forearms on Cash. Cash counters a third forearm with a Shortarm Lariat and then tags Dax back into the match. FTR hits an Assisted Powerbomb followed by a Gory Bomb from Cash for a nearfall. Dax hits a Backdrop Driver on Trent for another nearfall. Dax crotches Trent on the top rope and climbs up with him but Trent elbows him knocking him to the mat.
Trent tries to go for a high spot but Dax sweeps his legs and then goes up with him and attempts a Back Superplex but Trent counters in midair and gets a nearfall. Chuck tries to stop Cash from interfering but eats a Tornado DDT. Trent then nails Cash with one of his own! Dax spikes Trent with an Evenflow DDT for another nearfall!
FTR goes for the Spike Piledriver but Chuck knocks Cash off the top and Best Friends hit the Strong Zero! 1…2…NO Cash breaks it up! Cash hits a Brainbuster on Trent on the outside but eats a Diving Dropkick from Trent sending him into the first row. Trent fights with Cash in the crowd and tries to Spear Cash into an Arcade cabinet but Cash moves out of the way and Trent crashes through it.
Kip Sabian, who was playing the arcade, is pissed off and tells Penelope Ford to “go get him.” FTR drag Trent back in the ring and taunt him as Trent collapses. FTR go for the Goodnight Express but Chuck knocks Cash down and Trent hits a DDT on Dax. Taylor tags in and hits a series of strikes on Dax. Cash tries to hit Chuck with the belt but he sidesteps him and knocks him to the floor. Chuck goes for a Back Suplex but Dax blocks it and shoves him into the ropes. They both almost run into the referee causing him to duck and Cash decks Chuck with the title belt. Dax gets the pin.
Winners & STILL Tag Champs: FTR via pinfall
Miro hits the ring and beats Chuck and Trent down with Sabian.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Sean Maluta & Lee Johnson vs. Miro & Kip Sabian w/Penelope Ford
Miro beats the hell out of Maluta to start the match, he tosses him all around ringside. Miro notices Johnson and I guess was annoyed by his presence so he beats the hell out of him, too. Sabian tags in, hits a Diving Splash and tags back out. Miro puts Maluta in The Accolade for the submission.
Winners: Miro & Sabian via submission (The Accolade)
Sabian whines about the arcade cabinet and Miro screams in Bulgarian. “Good Friends, you break my shit, game over,” Miro said.
Backstage Jon Moxley is getting the hell beat out of him by Lance Archer as Jake Roberts watches.
The opening round of the “World Title Eliminator Tournament” will begin next week. The bracket is revealed with Fenix vs. Pentagon, Wardlow vs. Jungle Boy, Hangman Page vs. Colt Cabana and Kenny Omega vs. Joey Janela in the first round.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
MJF and Wardlow make their way to the ring and MJF runs down the fans. He says that he accomplished more in one year than any of AEW’s fans have done in their entire lives. MJF says he isn’t here to get on top, he’s here to stay on top. MJF calls Jericho out to the ring to listen to his “groundbreaking announcement.”
Jericho comes out with the Inner Circle and Sammy is refusing to put the jacket that MJF finally got him on. It’s huge and way too big for Sammy but Jericho makes him put it on. Jericho tells MJF to “cut the shit” and make his announcement. MJF says that he and Jericho are the two biggest “minute-to-minute draws” in AEW but somehow they have never faced each other. He says that’s because you never see two piranhas eating each other, because they have mutual respect.
MJF says that he and Jericho are “predators” but their prey is adapting and they will have to adapt to stay on top. He says they have worked great separate but asks what if they work together. MJF keeps stopping himself from asking to join Inner Circle but finally asks.
Ortiz says they don’t want him and that is the end of the story. Jericho says that they are a family and they need to make their decision together. Jericho invites MJF to a steak dinner next week, though.
Tony Schiavone earlier today is getting a massage alongside Britt Baker. Baker realizes Tony is naked under his towel and freaks out. She forces him to get his chest waxed, though.

TNT Championship
“American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes (c) (19-2) w/Arn Anderson & Brandi Rhodes vs. “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy (9-5)
Darby Allin is shown watching from the crowd. Cody keeps trying to lockup with Cassidy but Cassidy just sidesteps him. OC then puts his hands in his pockets and Cody shoves him knocking his glasses off. OC gets serious and they square off and lockup but they go to a stalemate to Cody’s frustration. Cody takes OC down when they break but OC fights to his feet and breaks the hold with a kick. Cody hits a Side Headlock Takeover and keeps control of the head on the mat.
OC fights back up but Cody transitions into a Hammerlock. OC reverses the Hammerlock and then takes Cody down and twists his body up into a nearfall. OC gets another nearfall with a nice tie-up. Cody gets pissed off and drops OC with a Delayed Front Suplex.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
OC does his stupid lazy kicks so Cody kicks him and hits an uppercut but then walks into a Superkick. Cody rolls to the floor and OC hits a Tope Suicida. John Silver runs out and tries to hit Cody with it but OC pulls it away. The referee kicks out the entire Dark Order, who were sitting ringside, to the back. OC looks down at the title but hands it over to Arn instead of using it.
Back in the ring, OC hits a Flying Cross Body but Cody rolls through and goes for CrossRhodes but OC counters into a rollup for a nearfall. OC hits the Slumdog Millionaire but Cody comes right back with the Cody Cutter out of the corner. Cody and OC exchange right hands and Cody hits a Basement Dropkick to the knees of OC.
Cody drags OC out to the ring post and wraps his knee around it. Cody hits the Disaster Kick for another nearfall. Cody puts OC in a Half Crab but gets pissed when OC won’t tap and lets go. OC surprises Ocdy with a rollup but then eats a Lariat for another nearfall. Cody mocks OC by doing pushups and then goes for a Tiger Driver but OC blocks it. Cody lifts OC up to the top rope and climbs up with him and hits a Reverse Superplex for a nearfall.
Cody tries to pull OC balls first into the ring post but OC pulls Cody head-first into it. OC hits a Diving DDT for a nearfall of his own. OC hits a Michinoku Driver for a nearfall. OC goes for the Beach Break but Cody blocks it and counters into a Figure Four. OC tries to reverse the hold but Cody keeps rolling and holds on to it. OC finally manages to roll all the way to the ropes to break the hold.
OC hits the Beach Break onto the apron but both men spill to the floor. OC drags Cody back in the ring and gets a nearfall and then both go for clotheslines at the same time. OC goes for the Orange Punch but Cody counters into a CrossRhodes attempt. OC blocks it and counters into the Swinging DDT followed by the Beach Break! 1…2…NO Cody kicks out!
OC goes for the Orange Punch again but Cody ducks and goes for the Cross Rhodes only for OC to counters into the Mouse Trap as time expires.
Winner: TIME LIMIT DRAW (Cody retains)
As Archer and Roberts are about to be interviewed by Alex Marvez, Jon Moxley attacks them.
Tony Schiavone interviews Matt Hardy at ringside and he announces that he has been cleared to return to the ring. Someone appears on the screen and burns pictures of Matt Hardy and it is revealed to be Sammy Guevara. Sammy admits to being the one that attacked him weeks ago and says that every time doctors clear him he will send Matt right back to the doctors. He said it won’t be over until he sends him home for good.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Tony Schiavone is in the ring with FTR and Tully Blanchard. They are going to do a random draw of four teams to face off next week for a shot at the tag titles. Those teams are Private Party, John Silver & Alex Reynolds, Butcher & Blade and The Young Bucks. The Bucks offer FTR a handshake and then get in their faces.
Matt Jackson tells Tony Schiavone that they aren’t going to kick Tony in the face and instead kick Blade and John Silver instead! A big brawl between the four teams breaks out as FTR leave. The Bucks and Private Party clean house and then get in each other’s faces. The Bucks offer a handshake but then kick them in the face, too.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
AEW World Women’s Championship
Hikaru Shida (c) (17-1) vs. Big Swole (10-3)
Swole and Shida shake hands and then lockup coming to a stalemate. Swole manages to come out of a second lockup with a side headlock but Shida reverses it. Swole counters into a Top Wristlock and forces Shida down over her knee only for Shida to sweep her legs. The two break out some nice chain spots and then the pace picks up as both girls attempt clotheslines and tackles. Swole shuts Shida down and puts her in a chinlock and then rolls her up as Shida tried to counter, for a nearfall.
They exchange rollups for nearfalls and then exchange strikes. Shida tries to toss Swole to the floor but Swole stops only to eat a boot to the face. Shida lays Swole out on the apron and then connects with a Running Knee Lift. As Shida celebrates, Swole shoves her into the camera.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Shida lifts Swole up to the top rope and attempts a Superplex but Swole blocks it and goes for a Sunset Flip Bomb. She slips and botches that spot so she just shoves Shida to the stage and hits a gorgeous Springboard Cutter on the ramp. Back in the ring, she hits another Springboard Cutter but Shida kicks out at two.
Swole hits a series of strikes but then runs into a Knee Strike. Shida hits a Straight Jacket German Suplex for a nearfall. Shida hits a Flying Knee to the back and then the Falcon Arrow for another two. Swole surprises Shida with the Dirty Dancing but Shida gets her hand on the bottom rope to save the pin.
Swole goes for it again but Shida ducks and hits a Forearm Smash followed by a pair of Flying Knees for the pin.
Winner & STILL Women’s Champ: Shida via pinfall (Flying Knee)
Eddie Kingston brings the Lucha Brothers out to the announce table.
A video package with Shawn Spears talking about his issues with Scorpio Sky is shown. Spears calls Sky a “thief” and says that he stole a moment he planned on having (when he was going to kill Sydal a few weeks ago) so now Sky owes him and Tully a moment.

AEW World Heavyweight Championship
No DQ Match
“Death Rider” Jon Moxley (c) (19-0) vs. “Murderhawk Monster” Lance Arhcer (13-1) w/Jake Roberts
As Moxley climbs in the ring he immediately drops Archer with a Paradigm Shift for a nearfall! Moxley drags Archer to the outside but Archer throws him into the barricade. Archer tosses Moxley back in the ring but Moxley dropkicks Archer and then hits a Tope Suicida. Moxley tosses Archer into the barricade but Archer comes back by throwing Mox into the barricade and then raking his eyes.
Archer tosses Moxley in the ring where Archer crashes into a huge Lariat from Moley but doesn’t go down. Moxley hits a series of elbows and then bounces off the ropes right into a Pounce from Archer! Back on the outside, Archer hits a Rolling Cannonball onto Moxley on the floor!
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Moxley dives off the top but Archer catches him in midair with a Chokeslam attempt. Moxley blocks it only to eat a big right hand. Moxley and Archer exchange forearms and then Moxley hits a German Suplex. Moxley hits a series of clotheslines and then goes to the floor and tosses some chairs into the ring. Moxley throws the chair into Archer’s face and then sets up a pair of chairs in the ring.
Moxley attempts a DVD onto the chairs but Archer blocks it and Chokeslams Mox onto the chairs! 1…2…NO Moxley kicks out! Archer wraps a chair around Moxley’s head and then goes to hit him with another chair but Moxley sweeps his leg and locks in a Knee bar. Roberts helps Archer get to the apron and helps pull him to the floor to break the hold.
Archer grabs a trashcan as Moxley dives right into it. Archer beats Moxley with the trashcan and drags him to the apron where he goes for a Tiger Bomb through some tables at ringside, but Moxley nut shots him and then hits a Paradigm Shift through the tables!
Both men are down and finally manage to climb back in the ring. Moxley hits another Paradigm Shift in the ring but Archer still kicks out! Moxley immediately locks in the Bulldog Choke but Archer gets to his feet and shoves Moxley into the corner. Archer hits a DDT of his own and Chokeslams him into the turnbuckles. Archer hits the Blackout but Moxley counters the pin into a crucifix for the pin!
Winner & STILL World Champ: Moxley via pinfall (Crucifix)
Archer attacks Moxley after the match and then Kingston sicks Lucha Brothers on Archer rather than Moxley. Roberts makes Archer back down and then Kingston applauds Moxley. Kinston talks about his history with Moxley and tells Fenix to give Moxley his title belt. Kingston says he is proud of Moxley and knew he could be the star he’s become and then raises his arm. Kingston hits the Spinning Backfist and chokes Moxley out. Kingston screams that he never quit and that he is going to “get” Moxley.
