Masa Saito competed as a super heavyweight at the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games placing 7th in freestyle.. Masa Saito turned to pro wrestling following the Games and quickly became successful in Japan & North America.. December 22, 1969: Masa Saito (of Japan) defeated Dale Lewis for the Florida Heavyweight title.. Masa Saito formed a successful tag team with Mr. Fuji, together they won two WWWF Tag Team titles.. 1980s: Masa Saito spent two years in prison after he and Ken Patera threw a boulder through the window of a McDonalds in Wisconsin.. 1984: Masa Saito was also part of the exodus that left New Japan for All Japan.. 1987: Masa Saito returned to New Japan for the best years of his career.. 1987: Masa Saito had a famous feud with Antonio Inoki that did record business.. October 4, 1987: Antonio Inoki defeated Masa Saito (by TKO) in an "Island Death Match".. ~~~They were dropped on Ganryujima Island and had a match all over the island without any audience that lasted two hours..
