August 12, 1992: Masa Chono defeated Rick Rude in a tournament final for the NWA Heavyweight Wrestling title.. Masa Chono becomes a member of New Japan's version of the new World order.. Masa Chono formed a successful tag team with Keiji Mutoh.. Masa Chono won the IWGP Jr Heavyweight title.. August 11, 2002: Masa Chono won the G-1 tournament today beating Yoshihiro Takayama in the finals with a series of Yakuza kicks. October 14, 2002 - NJPW: Masahiro Chono defeats Joanie Laurer in a dissappointing match.. October 26, 2002 - NJPW: Yuji Nagata NO CONTEST with Masa Chono in a 60-minute time limit draw.. April 26, 2003: Masahiro Chono tore knee ligaments while doing a Yakuza kick to Shinya Makabe and may need surgery..
