  • Animal and Hawk were originally placed in a tag team together by Ole Anderson in Georgia to create The Road Warriors.
  • The Legion of Doom faction originally consisted of Hawk, Animal, Jake Roberts, The Spoiler, and manager Paul Ellering.
  • June 11, 1983: The Road Warriors won a Tournament to be crowned the NWA National Tag Team champions.
  • October 23, 1983 – The Last Battle of Atlanta: Jimmy Valiant and Pez Whatley vs The Road Warriors (Double disqualification).
  • November 19, 1983 – Mid South Wrestling: The Road Warriors defeated Mr. Wrestling II and Magnum TA.
  • January 28, 1984: The Road Warriors defeated Buzz and Brett Sawyer to win the NWA National tag team titles.
