  • July 4, 1993: Lex Luger responded to Mr. Fuji’s challenge to body slam Yokozuna on the deck of the U.S.S. Intrepid aircraft carrier.
  • ~~~The event took place in New York on Independence Day.
  • ~~~Pro-althetes such as Alonzo Mourning (NBA player) and others all tried to slam Yokozuna – but failed.
  • ~~~Then out of nowhere, a helicopter landed on the deck and notorious heel Lex Luger appeared donning the red, white and blue.
  • ~~~Lex Luger told the fans that he had changed and he’ll be damned before he allowed this to happen.
  • ~~~Luger ran across the ring (set up on deck), picked up Yokozuna, and slammed him down!
  • ~~~The crowd went absolutely wild and Luger became an instant hero to fans all across America!
  • ~~~Soon after, the Lex Express tour kicked off in a red, white and blue tour bus traveling the U.S.A..

  • May 1, 2003: Lex Luger’s girlfriend, the famous Elizabeth was found dead of an apparent drug overdose at Lugar’s condo in Georgia.
  • ~~~Later that day, after a search of Lex Lugar’s residence, he is arrested for posession of controlled substances, possibly steriods.
  • ~~~The next day, Lugar was released on $27,500 bond.
  • ~~~Lex Luger was charged with 14 different drug possession counts, 13 of which were felonies, after a search of his townhouse.
  • ~~~Among the drugs found: Xanex, various forms of anabolic steroids, OxyContin, testosterone and a synthetic growth hormone.
  • November 12, 2003 – NWA^TNA: Sting and AJ Styles w/Jimmy Hart defeated Lex Luger and Jeff Jarrett w/Don Callis.

  • October 30, 2004 – Cyberspace Wrestling Federation: Lex Luger defeated Danny Jaxx | Later on, Lex Luger brawled with Ron Killings.
  • November 15, 2004 – UCW: Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell defeated Disco Inferno and Johnny Swinger.
  • January 31, 2005: Lex Luger was arrested in Atlanta for a DUI (Driving Under Influence) and was taken into custody.
  • ~~~Police found Luger (real name Lawrence Pfohl) was found by police passed out slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle..
  • ~~~When Luger woke up, he tried to drive away from the scene, but police called for assistance in stopping him.
  • ~~~Lex Luger was charged with expired tags, altered tags, no proof of insurance and an open container (of alcohol).
  • February 3, 2005: Lex Luger pleaded guilty on the steroid possession charges stemming from May of 2003.
  • ~~~Luger was sentenced to five years probation, a $1,000 fine, and has to submit to regular drug tests.
  • ~~~His arrest on 1/31 will not count against his probation, but another arrest over the next 5 years could put him in prison.
  • February 11, 2005 – UCW TV taping: Lex Luger and NWO Sting defeated George South St. and McNasty.
  • February 19, 2005- Exodus Wrestling: Lex Luger defeated Tracy Smothers.
  • October 8, 2005 – Action Wrestling Entertainment: Shane Madison defeated Lex Luger.
  • December 2005: Lex Luger, Marcus Bagwell and Scott Steiner were all pulled off of a plane in Minneapolis after a disturbance.
  • ~~~The three men were held for several hours before Marcus Bagwell and Scott Steiner were released and sent on their flight.
  • ~~~Lex Luger is held without bail with a court appearance scheduled on the 22nd on two felonies in the state of Georgia.
  • ~~~47-year-old Lex Luger was put in lockup at the Hennepin County Jail in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
  • Luger spent two weeks in a Minneapolis jail awaiting extradition back to Georgia on two criminal warrants.
  • April 27, 2006 – TNA iMPACT: Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner demanded that Sting come out and chose his partner for Sacrifice.
  • ~~~Sting played games with Jarrett/Steiner, giving THEM the choice to pick between Door #1 and Door #2 OR pass until next week.
  • ~~~Jeff Jarrett passed, so Sting revealed that Buff Bagwell and Luger were this week’s choices making them void now..

  • June 10, 2006 – Southern championship Wrestling: Lex Luger defeated Buff Bagwell in the main event.
  • August 26, 2006 – Universal Wrestling Federation: Buff Bagwell and Luger defeated Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner.
  • September 28, 2006 – TNA iMPACT: Lex Luger appeared during a segment saying that Sting was ready for Bound For Glory.

Retirement

  • October 19, 2007: Lex Luger (Who was in town for a SF FanFest) was taken to Stanford Hospital after suffering a stroke.
  • October 21, 2007: The belief now is that Lex Luger suffered a nerve impingement in the neck that led to temporary paralysis.
  • From Randy Klemme in the January 4, 2008 Indy Wrestle Line: An update on Lex Luger..Luger is currently staying at the Spinal Rehabilitation Center in Marietta, Georgia. He is still paralyzed in both arms and both legs, but has begun to get feeling back in all four extremities. The official diagnosis was that he suffered a spinal stroke. He collapsed in a hotel room on Friday, October 19, when he was in San Francisco for a wrestling convention.
  • July 2, 2010 – SmackDown!: They showed a flashback of Lex Luger slamming Yokozuna on the deck of the USS Intrepid on 7/4th.
