Scott Hall Career Highlights

In The Beginning:

  • Scott Hall spent his high school years in Munich, Germany before he began wrestling in Germany, Japan and Puerto Rico.
  • Scott Hall joined Florida Championship Wrestling and feuded with Dusty Rhodes.
  • 1985: Scott Hall (as “Coyote”) formed a tag team with Dan Spivey (as “Eagle”) known as “American Starship” in the NWA.

American Wrestling Association:

  • Scott Hall joined the Verne Gagne’s American Wrestling Association.
  • Scott Hall was later known as “Magnum” Scott Hall, after the television character portrayed by Tom Selleck.
  • Scott Hall would eventually begin using the name “Big” Scott Hall.
  • Scott Hall teamed with Curt Hennig, and together the two captured the AWA World Tag Team titles.
  • September 28, 1985 – AWA SuperClash: Greg Gagne, Scott Hall and Curt Hennig defeated Ray Stevens, Nick Bockwinkel and Larry Zbyszko.
  • January 1986: Scott Hall and Curt Hennig defeated Jimmy Garvin and Steve Regal to win the AWA Tag Team titles.
  • April 20, 1986 – AWA WrestleRock: Curt Hennig and Scott Hall defeated Bill and Scott Irwin to retain the Tag Team titles.
  • Scott Hall and Curt Hennig would lose the titles to Buddy Rose and Doug Somers several months later.
  • Scott Hall left the AWA, and wrestled mainly on the independent circuit in Puerto Rico and Florida.
  • Scott Hall wrestled briefly for the CWA under the name Texas Scott.

World Championship Wrestling:

  • Scott Hall had a brief stint in WCW under his real name (Scott Hall) that was unsuccessful.
  • June 1991: Scott Hall returned to WCW as the “Diamond Studd”, the bodyguard for Diamond Dallas Page.
  • June 12, 1991 – CotC XV: The Diamond Stud defeated Tommy Rich in his first big match with the company.
  • Diamond Stud mastered a move called the Diamond Death Drop, which became known later as the Razor’s Edge and Outsider’s Edge.
  • Scott Hall left World Championship Wrestling and signed with the World Wrestling Federation.

World Wrestling Federation – Razor Ramon:

  • 1992: Scott Hall debuted in the WWF as “Razor Ramon”, a slick greasy Latino heel.
  • ~~~Razor Ramon was introduced to the fans by way of a series of scripted televised vignettes.
  • November 24, 1992 – Survivor Series: Randy Savage and Mr. Perfect defeated Ric Flair and Razor Ramon by disqualification.
  • 1992: Razor Ramon was voted the Most Improved Wrestler by the readers of Pro Wrestling Illustrated.
  • January 24, 1993 – Royal Rumble: Bret Hart defeated Razor Ramon to retain the WWF Heavyweight title.
  • February 15, 1993 – RAW: Razor Ramon on a Battle Royal.
  • March 6, 1993 – Superstars: Razor Ramon defeated Brian Boyer.
  • March 8, 1993 – Raw: Razor Ramon defeated Ross Greenberg.
  • March 14, 1993 – Wrestling Challenge: Razor Ramon defeated Larry Ludden.
  • March 16-19, 1993 – House Show: Razor Ramon defeated El Matador.
  • April 4, 1993 – WrestleMania 9: Razor Ramon defeated Bob Backlund.
  • April 19, 1993 – RAW: Razor Ramon defeated Virgil.
  • April 25, 1993 – Wrestling Challenge: Razor Ramon defeated Alan Reid.
  • May 8, 1993 – Superstars: Razor Ramon defeated El Matador to qualify in the King of the Ring tournament.
  • May 16, 1993 – Wrestling Challenge: Razor Ramon defeated Shawn Dakota.
  • May 17, 1993 – RAW: The Kid (Sean Waltman) defeated Razor Ramon in the biggest upset in RAW history!

  • June 12, 1993 – Superstars: Razor Ramon defeated Bert Centeno.
  • June 13, 1993 – King of the Ring: Bret Hart defeated Razor Ramon in the first round of the Tournament.
  • June 21, 1993 – RAW: Razor Ramon vs. The 1-2-3 Kid ended in a no contest.
  • This storyline eventually turned Razor Ramon face, as he gained respect for the 1-2-3 Kid.
  • July 19, 1993 – RAW: Razor Ramon defeated Mr. Hughes in a dark match.
  • August 9, 1993 – RAW: Razor Ramon defeated Dan Dubiel.
  • August 14, 1993 – Superstars: Razor Ramon defeated Dwayne Gill.
  • August 22, 1993 – Wrestling Challenge: Razor Ramon defeated Barry Hardy.

  • March 9, 1996 – Superstars: Razor Ramon and Savio Vega defeated The 1-2-3 Kid and Tatanka in the tag team title quarter-finals tournament.
  • April 13, 1996 – House Show: Intercontinental champion Goldust defeated Razor Ramon to retain the title.
  • April 14-16, 1996 – House Show: Razor Ramon defeated The 1-2-3 Kid.
  • April 18-19, 1996 – House Show: Razor Ramon defeated The 1-2-3 Kid.
  • April 20, 1996 – House Show: Razor Ramon defeated Justin Bradshaw.
  • April 28, 1996 – In Your House: Vader defeated Razor Ramon marking Hall’s last WWF PPV appearance.
  • May 9-12, 1996 – House Show: Jerry Lawler defeated Razor Ramon.
  • May 17-19, 1996 – MSG House Show: Hunter Helmsley defeated Razor Ramon on the night of the famous “Kliq Farewell”.

World Championship Wrestling – The Arrival of the Outsiders:

  • May 27, 1996: – Scott Hall made a huge surprise return to WCW, crashing a live episode of WCW Nitro.
  • ~~~Scott Hall later brought in Kevin Nash, and they were known as the Outsiders.
  • Kevin Nash and Scott Hall (known as the “Outsiders“) began appearing on WCW Nitro and disrupting the program weekly.
  • The Outsiders challenged WCW to a 6-Man Tag match, gathering the top 3 WCW wrestlers to face them and a “mystery” third man.
  • June 16, 1996 – Great American Bash: Eric Bischoff agreed to let the Outsiders have their challenge for a 3-on-3 match at Bash at the Beach.
  • ~~~Kevin Nash then grabbed Eric Bischoff and Jacknife power-bombed him off the stage through a table.
  • July 1, 1996 – Nitro: Backstage, The Outsiders (Scott Hall and Kevin Nash) were kicked out of the building.
  • July 8, 1996 – Nitro: Sting defeated Arn Anderson by Submission (After the match; The Outsiders made a appearance).
  • July 7, 1996 – Bash at the Beach: Kevin Nash and Scott Hall and ?????? vs. Randy Savage and Lex Luger and Sting ended in a No Contest.
  • ~~~The Outsiders took Lex Luger out of the match and Hulk Hogan ran out to ‘apparently’ replace him in the match.
  • ~~~Hulk Hogan got in the ring and played to the crowd and then delivered the Guillontine Legdrop on Randy Savage!!!!
  • ~~~Hulk Hogan and the Outsiders told the fans to stick it and proclaimed the new World order was taking over WCW!

World Championship Wrestling – The new World order:

  • The Outsiders were eventually joined by a freshly heel-turned Hulk Hogan and the new World order was born!
  • August 10, 1996 – Hog Wild: The Outsiders defeated Lex Luger and Sting to win the WCW World Tag Team Titles.
  • August 12, 1996 – Nitro: Sting and Lex Luger battled The Outsiders (Scott Hall and Kevin Nash) to a No Contest.
  • September 15, 1996 – Fall Brawl: The new World order defeated The Horsemen in a War Games match.
  • ~~~The new World order = Hollywood Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash and Scott Hall and The nWo Sting.
  • ~~~The Horsemen = “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair and Arn Anderson and Lex Luger and The REAL Sting.
  • September 23, 1996 – Nitro: Scott Hall and Kevin Nash defeated High Voltage (Robbie Rage and Kenny Kaos).
  • October 26, 1996 – Saturday Night: The Outsiders defeated Tony Washberg and Bud Greene.
