- March 17, 1997 – RAW: WWE European Champion The British Bulldog defeated Vader by disqualification to retain the title.
- March 23, 1997 – WrestleMania: WWE tag team champions Owen Hart and The British Bulldog vs. Mankind and Vader ended in a double count-out to retain.
- March 24, 1997 – Raw is War: The Headbangers defeated WWE tag team champions Owen Hart and The British Bulldog by disqualification. Bulldog and Owen got in a fight at the end of the match. Owen demanded a shot at the Bulldog’s European title at the following Raw is War.
- March 31, 1997 – Raw is War: Intercontinental champion Owen Hart vs. The British Bulldog ended in a no contest to retain the title. Bulldog was about to use a chair on Owen, and Bret Hart appears and pleads with the two not fight any more. Bret says that their Family has feuded for the amusement of the fans for too long. The trio embrace inside the ring.

- The Hart Foundation is reborn! Bret, Owen and Bulldog were eventually joined by Jim Niedhart and Brian Pillman.
- The Hart Foundation targeted top babyfaces Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels.

- July 13, 1997 – Shotgun Saturday Night: Intercontinental champion Owen Hart defeated Flash Funk to retain the title.
- July 14, 1997 – Raw is War: Dude Love and Steve Austin defeated Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith to win the tag team titles.
- July 21, 1997 – Raw is War: Bret Hart, Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith defeated Steve Austin, Dude Love and The Undertaker in a flag match.
- July 26, 1997 – Shotgun Saturday Night: Mankind defeated Intercontinental champion Owen Hart by disqualification. Owen Hart retains the title.
- August 3, 1997 – SummerSlam: Steve Austin defeated Owen Hart to win the Intercontinental championship.
- ~~~Owen botched a pile-driver, dropping Austin right on his head, and injuring his neck in the process.
- ~~~Austin struggled to his feet where Owen allowed him to roll him up for the pin to complete the planned finish.
- ~~~Austin was later stripped of the title due to his injury.
