Career Highlights

In the Beginning:

  • Jason Reso wrestled on the Canadian Indy circuit as “Christian Cage” and was a member of the Thug LiFe faction.
  • December 20, 1996 – Border City Wrestling: Otis Apollo and Denny Kass defeated Christian Cage and Sexton Hardcastle.

World Wrestling Federation – The Brood:

  • Christian debuted at the side of Gangrel, who was feuding with Edge (who was, by storyline, supposed to be Christian’s brother).
  • Christian defeated Taka Michinoku to win the WWF Light-Heavyweight title in his very first official WWF match!
  • Christian and Gangrel eventually convinced Edge to join them, and they became known as, the Brood.
  • The Brood feuded extensively with the Hardy Boyz, Matt and Jeff.
  • Christian and Edge formed a tag team and later split from Gangrel, who recruited the Hardy Boyz and formed the New Brood.
