OWW Women’s Wrestling Columnist Eric Holt chooses his M.V.D.- Most Valuable Diva(s) of the week, based on television matches, promos, and/ or segments.
At TNA’s Bound For Glory Pay Per View, Brooke had the opportunity to become a three-time Knockouts Champion in a triple threat match against Gail Kim and ODB. The match came to an end after Lei’D Tapa took out ODB and nailed Brooke with a sick powerbomb. Gail Kim took advantage and pinned Brooke to become the new Knockouts Champion, revealing her and Lei’D Tapa’s alliance in the process. Although Brooke, ODB, and Gail Kim put on a great match at Bound For Glory, Brooke was the standout competitor in the match. Everything about Brooke in the match was spot on. She displayed a lot of her heel character throughout the match, teasing and toying with ODB. I also felt that her wrestling was on point as well, and she has really adapted to the heel style of wrestling quite well.
I honestly would not have been surprised if she had walked away with the Knockouts Championship at Bound For Glory. The spot where she was powerbombed by Lei’D Tapa was one of the best spots during the match, and I have to commend her for taking that powerbomb like a champ. She sold it to perfection. I have been impressed with Brooke as a heel thus far, and her match at Bound For Glory is one of the reasons why I love her as a heel. She was the Most Valuable Player in the match, and this week, she is Most Valuable Diva of the Week!
Come back next week to see who will be the Most Valuable Diva of the week.
