“M.V.D. – Most Valuable Diva” is a weekly column where a WWE Diva or TNA Knockout is named the Most Valuable Diva of the Week based on their overall performance. The divas/knockouts that compete in matches and/or take part in segments automatically get nominated for Most Valuable Diva.
This week’s nominees for M.V.D. are:
Kaitlyn: On RAW, Kaitlyn received a text message from her secret admirer and read it to Natalya and The Funkadactyls. However, Kaitlyn still has no idea who her secret admirer is. When Kaitlyn, Natalya, and The Funkdactyls left the scene, The Bella Twins came from behind a curtain, high-fiving each other and looking devious, giving us a hint that they could be Kaitlyn’s admirer. Later in the night, Kaitlyn teamed up with The Funkadactyls to face AJ and The Bellas. Kaitlyn won the match for her team after AJ was unsuccessful with tagging in one of The Bellas.
The Funkadactlys: The Funkadactlys teamed up with Kaitlyn to take on AJ and The Bellas on RAW. Cameron was the only Funkadactly to actually compete in the match, which was unfortunate because it would have been nice to have seen Naomi get in the match. The Funkadactyls and Kaitlyn ultimately won the match.
AJ: AJ teamed up with The Bellas to take on her former BFF Kaitlyn and The Funkadactyls on RAW. AJ looked as though her team was going to win, but when The Bellas refused to let AJ tag either one of them in, AJ suffered from Kaitlyn’s spear and a loss.
The Bellas: In a backstage segment on RAW, The Bellas emerged from behind a curtain after listening to Kaitlyn talk about her secret admirer. The Bellas had a devious look on their face as they high-fived each other. Hmmm… Later in the night, The Bellas teamed up wit AJ to take on Kaitlyn and The Funkadactyls. When AJ went to tag in one of The Bellas, they refused to let AJ tag either one of them in. They suffered a loss, but they didn’t seem to care as they walked away calling AJ a “loser” with a capital L. The Bellas are up to something, and knowing them, they’re up to no good!
Velvet Sky: TNA’s reigning Knockouts Champion Velvet Sky teamed up with the woman who she recently defended her title against Mickie James to take on Gail Kim and Tara on Impact Wrestling. After Mickie tagged Velvet into the match, Velvet dominated Tara and hit the In Yo Face to win the match for her and Mickie.
Mickie James: For the second week in a row, Mickie James competed in tag team action on Impact Wrestling against Gail Kim and Tara, but this time, her partner was Velvet Sky. And for the second week in a row, Mickie James was successful in tag team competition after her and Velvet defeated Gail and Tara.
Tara: Tara teamed up with Gail Kim for the second week in a row to face Mickie James and Velvet Sky in tag team action on Impact Wrestling. Tara being distracted by her boy toy Jesse being hurt cost her and Gail the match after Velvet nailed her with the In Yo Face for the 1,2,3. After the match, Tara was taken down by Gail and suffered the same fate that Taryn Terrell suffered from last week: a figure four leg lock around the ring post. I know one thing, Tara is not going to let Gail get away with that.
Gail Kim: Gail Kim teamed up with Tara to face Mickie James and Velvet Sky on Impact Wrestling. Tara being distracted with Jesse cost her and Gail the match, leading to Gail taking her down with a sick clothesline. Gail dragged Tara to the corner and locked her in a figure four leg lock around the ring post, just like she did last week to Taryn Terrell. Gail’s been showing a more vicious side as of late. So if I were the Knockouts, I wouldn’t want to mess with Gail!
Bayley: On NXT, Bayley was in action against The Anti-Diva Paige. Bayley showed alot of aggression and put up a great fight, but it wasn’t enough to help her win the match.
Paige: Paige competed against Bayley on NXT. When it looked as though The Anti-Diva was going to lose, she made a comeback and ultimately nailed Bayley with the Paige Turner for the win. After the match, Paige was attacked from behind by Summer Rae. If you thought last week’s match against Paige and Summer was going to end their feud, you might wanna think again now.
Summer Rae: After Paige successfully defeated Bayley on NXT, Summer Rae did what she does best: sneak attacks. Summer came out of nowhere and attacked Paige from behind. Looks like Summer school isn’t over just yet.
This week, we have two MVDs!
This week’s MVDs are…
Paige and Bayley!
Paige and Bayley put on a great match for the NXT fans. The match was given plenty of time, and both girls delivered. I was very happy that we got to see more from Bayley in-ring wise in this match. My only complaint about Bayley is that no one, not even myself, know who Bayley is because she doesn’t have a character…yet. I feel that once Bayley gets some sort of character, the NXT fans will be able to connect with her more. Paige never fails to impress me. This girl does no wrong whatsoever. Once again, great match between Paige and Bayley.
Come back next week to see who will be M.V.D. of the week. Thanks for reading!
