NEW INSTALLMENT OF “TIMELINE: HISTORY OF WWE” INVESTIGATES 2000

After being taken through 1987 by The Honky Tonk Man, fans of the new DVD series “Timeline: The History of WWE” will join Rikishi for a journey into more contemporary grounds in the world’s biggest fed. The year 2000 is the latest edition of the series, released today by Kayfabe Commentaries.

The popular shoot DVD company partnered with historical website TheHistoryofWWE.com to promote the series earlier in the year, launching with the popular 1987 edition. The series seeks to recreate the entire history of the WWE, over time, one year at a time. Rikishi, who got his biggest push and held IC gold in 2000, is the host of the current edition.

Topics covered include Triple H and Stephanie’s romance, WWE Times Square, Johnny Ace, Yokozuna’s death, writers, and just about every major event in the ring and behind the scenes in 2000.

“The series is predicated on getting a major player for the year in question,” started Kayfabe Commentaries’ Sean Oliver. “The subject host needs to be able to comment on events beyond their own angles and activities, so they need to be pretty well entrenched. Kishi has opinions about everything that went down and he’s not afraid to share them.”
