- Rusev Day returned once again to WWE Raw on Monday night, as the “The Bulgarian Brute” made his return to the company.Rusev’s music hit, as he came out and interrupted what was supposed to have been an impromptu World Tag Team Championship Match, with The New Day defending against Alpha Academy’s Otis and Tozawa.
Deadline is reporting that the returning former WWE United States Champion has signed a new two-year contract with the company. In addition, his real-life wife CJ Perry, who was Lana in WWE, signed a Legends Deal earlier this month.
- After WWE released Rusev in 2020, he signed a long-term deal with AEW, wrestling as Miro. He held the promotion’s TNT Championship for 144 days. After having only wrestling eleven matches, AEW released him this past February. Perry followed him into the company, having signed a deal in 2023 after having been away from pro wrestling after WWE released her in 2021. Rusev’s last match in AEW as Miro was at the December 2023 Worlds End PPV.
Rusev and Perry are represented by The Paradigm Talent Agency, which negotiated their new contracts with WWE. The couple is also set to star in the new action comedy “Guns Up”, led by Kevin James.
