- February 22, 2009: The Heartbreak Express defeated Los Temerarios to recapture the D1PW Tag Team titles in Santo Domingo..The D1PW Tag Team titles changed hands on foreign soil. The Dominican team of Los Temerarios defeated the Heartbreak Express in front of over 1,000 fans on Saturday February 21st for the D1PW Tag Titles in Villa Mella, a town just outside Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.Determined not to return home without their belts in hand, Sean and Phil immediately exercised their return match clause. The next day, Sunday February 22nd, saw more than 2,000 fans at the Pan American Games Arena in Santo Domingo. The Heartbreak Express won back their titles against Los Temerarios in a grueling hard fought match. The card also included former WWE superstar Savio Vega and the legendary Scott Hall in action.Sean Davis had this to say,”We were caught off guard the first night. It is scary to be trapped in a country where you are even afraid to drink the water. We were a little surprised by the talent level of the Dominican wrestlers and the thousands of lunatic fans they had cheering for them allowed them to pull off the upset. The next day we were ready for them, and we got our belts back around our waists where they belong. All I have to say now to Los Temerarios and the people of the Dominican Republic is YOU’RE JUST JEALOUS!”The Heartbreak Express, as well as the rest of the D1PW titleholders, will be traveling the world to defend their titles as D1PW continues in to 2009.
