“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.
We open the show live in the Manhattan Center, the site of the very first episode of Monday Night RAW in 1993. JR and Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome us to the show. Lawler is dressed in his classic “King” attire. The RAW siren is also blaring. Lawler says this will be the biggest RAW ever!
They then send it over to the Barclay Center. Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and Booker T are at ringside tonight.
Shane McMahon and Stephanie McMahon are in the ring together to kick off the show. Stephanie welcomes us to the 25th anniversary of Monday Night RAW. That gets a huge ovation. Shane says we’re live from the Manhattan Center and in Brooklyn, New York. 25 years is a major accomplishment. On behalf of hte McMahon family and the company, they thank every superstar that has stepped through the ropes to make RAW what it is. They also thank the unsung heroes, including cameramen and production crew. Most importantly, they thank the fans. Whether they’re joining them for over 25 years or just joining them, the fans are the reason RAW is what it is.
Video Package: 25 years of Monday Night RAW
Stephanie thanks them for being a part of the 25 years, but they’re just getting started. They have one very special person to truly thank for all this. A huge roar is building. One person made all this possible and without whom none of us would be here. She introduces the Chairman of WWE, the creator of Monday Night RAW, their father, Vincent Kennedy McMahon!
Vince McMahon comes out to a huge ovation doing his trademark walk. The crowd sings his song, “No Chance In Hell.” Vince gets the crowd going. Vince looks like he’s lost weight. 25 years is truly amazing. A loud “Thank you Vince” chant picks up, and Vince warns them not to start that. Stephanie reminds him that they’re thanking him. Vince doesn’t like to pat himself on the back for his achievements and doesn’t like to smell the roses for long, but tonight he’ll smell the roses.
Vince gets ready to leave, but Stephanie says they have a surprise for him. This isn’t just from Shane and herself or from everyone. This is from people from all over the world. They started a Go Fund Me account to present to him a commemorative plaque for 25 years of Monday Night RAW. They present a dinky little plaque to Vince. Vince doesn’t look impressed. Vince says it feels cheap, but then again they are here in Brooklyn. The crowd lets out a big groan. Vince can’t believe everyone chipped in to give him a plaque. A huge “YES” chant picks up. Plaque is what each of them have on their teeth. Plaque is what is clogging their arteries from sucking down hamburgers and hot dogs. After 25 years, all he gets is a plaque. Vince has one person to thank for all this. A loud “ASSHOLE” chant picks up. Vince thanks himself because he did it all by himself!
THE GLASS SHATTERS AND STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN MAKES HIS WAY TO THE RING TO A THUNDEROUS RECEPTION!! Austin does his trademark salutes on all four corners of the ring. Austin gets in the center of the ring and stares a hole through Vince. The crowd is loudly buzzing. They give the “WHAT” treatment to Vince. Vince says Austin looks great, but Mother Nature hasn’t been too kind to him. He’s a member of AARP and has heart problems with a murmur that won’t go away. Vince says he has arthritis and his bones are brittle. Vince says times have changed, and he is now a senior citizen. However, Shane is in his prime. Shane looks incredulous! Shane then goes to raise Austin’s arm, and they circle the ring. Austin then gives Shane a Stone Cold Stunner!
Vince grabs two beers and says he doesn’t blame him because Shane had it coming. This is for old times’ sake. A loud “ONE MORE TIME” chant picks up. Vince doesn’t think Shane can take one more time. Vince hands Austin a beer, and they toast. They slowly go to drink before embracing in the center of the ring. Vince raises Austin’s arm. They toast one more time and hug again. Vince goes to leave, but stops when Austin’s music stops. Vince looks worried. A loud “YES” chant fires up. Austin toasts again and drinks. Austin then flips him off and gives Vince McMahon the Stone Cold Stunner!
Austin toasts on the ring posts and smashes the beer. Austin gives Shane, who has just gotten to his feet a beer and toasts him. Austin then gives him another Stone Cold Stunner, and Shane sprays beer everywhere as he hits the mat!
