  1. KICKOFF: Vince McMahon.
    • Vince says he will announce the #1 contender for the WWF title tonight.
    • New Smackdown! Opening.
    • No new set, no new theme music..

  2. IN THE RING: Kurt Angle + Chris Jericho + The Rock.
    • Angle assumes Vince will choose him to get the title shot at Backlash.
    • Angle begins to list reasons why he should get a shot at Triple H.
    • At reason number 5, Chris Jericho's music hits and out comes Y2J.
    • Jericho says that if anyone deserves a title shot, it's him.
    • Jericho tells the crowd that he is not a "has been".
    • Jericho and Angle agree to wrestle tonight for the title shot.
    • Just then, the Rock's music hits and The Rock comes to the stage.
    • The crowd chants for Rocky!
    • Fiinnnally the Rock has come back to Rochester!!!!!!!!
    • Rock tells Angle & Jericho that nobody deserves a title shot more than the Rock..
    • Rock pauses..
    • Rock says "Maybe there IS someone else........"
    • The crowd chants "Hogan! Hogan! Hogan!"
    • Rock suggests that Hollywood Hulk Hogan deserves a WWF title shot..
    • Jericho & Angle both protest the idea...
    • Rock reminds Jericho/Angle that this is a NEW Smackdown!
    • Rock says that from now on Smackdown! will be known as "the People's Show"!
    • Rock says that the people should tell everyone who they want to get the title shot..
    • Rock counts to three..
    • The crowd chants "Hogan! Hogan! Hogan!"

  3. BACKSTAGE: Scotty & Albert.
    • Scotty & Albert talk about their Tag Team Title match tonight..

  4. TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Billy & Chuck w/Rico vs Scotty & Albert.
    • Rico keeps interfering..
    • Albert chases Rico around the ring but is clothelined by Chuck..
    • Rico runs in and spin kicks Scotty..
    • Billy pins Scotty for the win!
    • Rico gets into the ring and celebrates..
    • Scotty & Albert set Rico up for the W.O.R.M.
    • Albert turns on Scotty by kicking him in the face!
    • Albert tells Scotty that for six months he's held him back..

  5. INTERVIEW: Mark Lloyd & Vince McMahon.
    • Mark greets Vince McMahon.
    • Vince asks who he is?!
    • Mark introduces himself..
    • Vince asks him if he's ever worked for Ric Flair..
    • Mark says No.
    • Vince welcomes Mark to Smackdown!
    • Mark asks Vince if he's made up his mind yet..
    • Vince announces that Hulk Hogan will get the title shot at Backlash..

  6. BACKSTAGE: Chris Jericho & The Rock.
    • Jericho is upset that Hogan was chosen for the shot..
    • Jericho finds The Rock and says it's all his fault..
    • Jericho talks about how he beat Rock twice in the past..
    • Rock tells Jericho to try to beat him.. tonight!

  7. MATCH: Diamond Dallas Page vs Christian.
    • Hard fought match..
    • Late in the match, Christian takes a temper tentrum..
    • Christian hits the unprettier on DDP for the win!
    • Christian leaves ringside yelling "I'm a winner!"

  8. BACKSTAGE: Kurt Angle & Edge.
    • Angle is backstage whining about Vince McMahon not picking him..
    • Edge approaches Angle..
    • Edge shows Angle a bunch of pictures that he found..
    • As Angle holds them up the crowd sees writing on the back..
    • "YOU SUCK",
    • "YES, I DO SUCK",
    • "AND IM A DORK",
    • "IT'S TRUE",
    • "PS: I HAVE NO TESTICLES.

  9. IN THE RING: Triple H & Hulk Hogan.
    • Triple H talks about Ric Flair making a title match on RAW.
    • Triple H vs Undertaker.
    • Triple H says that Vince changed it to Triple H vs Hulk Hogan.
    • Triple H tells Undertaker that he will get a shot after he's done with Hogan.
    • Triple H turns his attention to Hulk Hogan.
    • Suddenly Jimi Hendrix music blares over the sound system..
    • Hulkamania comes out dressed in Red & Yellow for the first time since his WWF return..
    • Hulk talks about Wrestlemania 1 (w/Mr T taking on Piper/Orndorff)
    • Hulk talks about Wrestlemania 3 (defeating Andre The Giant)
    • Hulk talks about Wrestlemania 18 (fighting the Rock)
    • Hulk says that it doesn't get any better than the undisputed title..
    • Hulk says that if the fans believe in him, then he's gonne TAKE IT!
    • Triple H agrees that it doesn't get any better than the Undisputed Championship.
    • Triple H says it would be an honor to be in the ring with Hogan..
    • HHH says he's a bit sad because he will have to hurt someone he's looked up to his whole life..
    • HHH says that Hogan is just another "Obstacle".
    • HHH says that that is not a threat or a warning.. it's a fact!
    • HHH says not even the "Immortal" Hulk Hogan will come between he and the Undisputed Title..
    • Hulk says that even though some people say Hulkamania is dead, it always rises up again..
    • Hulk asks HHH "whatcha gonna do, when HULKAMANIA runs wild on you?!"
    • Hulk and HHH stare eachother down before HHH leaves the ring..
    • Hulk poses for the crowd..

  10. MATCH: Edge vs Kurt Angle.
    • Edge locks Angle into the ropes and spears him twice..
    • Angle goes outside the ring and gets a steele chair..
    • The two men battle it out for a minute..
    • Edge tries to spear Angle but Angle holds the chair in the way..
    • The referee DQs Angle..
    • Angle tries to followup with chairshots but the ref stops him..
    • Angle retreats as Edge gets to his knees..

  11. BACKSTAGE: Torrie & Billy Kidman + Tajiri.
    • Kidman approaches Torrie..
    • Kidman says that he knows he and Torrie have a past..
    • Kidman says he know she will be out there during his CW title match with Tajiri..
    • Kidman says he just wants her to know he's going out there to take the title..
    • Kidman & Torrie hug..
    • A jealous Tajiri enters and tells Torrie to give him a kiss..
    • Tajiri drags Torrie away..

  12. CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Tajiri w/Torrie vs Billy Kidman.
    • Late in the match, Torrie picks up the CW title..
    • Tajiri see that it is missing and is distracted..
    • Billy Kidman rolls up Tajiri to win the WWF CW title!!
    • After the match Tajiri yells at Torrie in Japanese..

  13. BACKSTAGE: Vince McMahon & Hardcore Holly.
    • Vince says that he wasted a draft pick on Maven because he wanted the Hardcore Title..
    • Vince says Maven went and lost the title..
    • Vince tells Hardcore Holly to punish Maven..
    • There is a knock at the door as Holly leaves..
    • Stacy Keibler walks in..
    • Stacy offers to be Vince's executive assistant..

  14. BACKSTAGE: Vince McMahon & DVon Dudley.
    • DVon expresses his anger about getting separated from his brother..
    • Vince says that he wanted the Dudley Boyz, but Flair ruined it..
    • Vince says the he thought DVon was the best Dudley brother..
    • Vince tells DVon to get out of his office and not to come back til he was ready to be a Superstar..
    • DVon leaves..

  15. BACKSTAGE: Al Snow & Maven.
    • Al Snow tells Maven that he's probably going to get an ass-whoopin' from Hardcore Holly..
    • Al Snow wishes Maven luck..

  16. MATCH: Maven vs Hardcore Holly.
    • Maven really takes a beating from Hardcore Holly.
    • Holly wins the match.

  17. MAIN EVENT: The Rock vs Chris Jericho.
    • Very good PPV-quality match..
    • Late in the match, the referee gets knocked out..
    • Jericho sets up Rock for the people's elbow..
    • Rock jumps to his feet and set up Jericho for the real people's elbow!
    • Kurt Angle runs in and attacks The Rock!
    • Jericho tries to pin Rock but only gets a 2-count..
    • Edge runs down and attacks Kurt Angle.. they fight through the crowd..
    • Rock eventually wins after a Rock Bottom!

  18. Smackdown! goes off the air..
