- BACKSTAGE: Vince McMahon.
- Elsewhere, Vince McMahon and his lawyers headed towards the ring, and Vince had a huge smile on his face.
- IN THE RING: Vince McMahon & Ric Flair + Steve Austin.
- Vince strutted to the ring, accompanied by his lawyers.
- The smiling Federation chairman said he was sure there were many in the crowd who thought he wanted Flair in the ring so he could humiliate him.
- Vince said that wasn't the case; he said he simply wanted to teach Flair and the fans a lesson.
- The lesson was that perception is not always reality.
- He said Flair is perceived to be a winner in the squared circle and one of the all-time greats, which Flair had proven at the Rumble.
- But in life, Vince said, Flair was a loser, just like all the fans.
- Vince said that in real life, when the Flairs of the world were pitted against Vince McMahon, Vince always won.
- Vince said he hoped the fans didn't buy the crap Flair had said earlier, that Flair was signing the documents for the fans and the future generations.
- Vince said Flair didn't give a damn about the fans, saying he cared more about the fans than Flair ever did.
- Vince said Flair would sign the documents because Flair had lost to him.
- Vince said there was a line in the contract that he would own and control 100 percent of Federation stock.
- The only bad thing, Vince said, was that Flair inserted a clause stating that Vince was prohibited from bringing in the nWo, which Vince said was a damn shame.
- He publicly acknowledged the individuals who signed conditional contracts to come to the Federation, knowing that Flair may try to prevent their arrival.
- Vince said it was a damn shame fans wouldn't be seeing the nWo in the Federation because they would have destroyed the Federation, and revolutionized sports entertainment.
- Vince then introduced the man who would be signing his life away -- Ric Flair.
- Flair's music began to play, but Vince demanded that they cut Flair's music, and that the Nature Boy walk to the ring with no big entrance or hoopla.
- He said Flair was walking the aisle for the last time.
- Flair slowly walked to the ring with his attorney, and Vince said he felt sorry for Flair, because Flair's last "Woo!" was heard in a town like Norfolk, Va.
- Vince invited Flair to have a seat at the table that had been set up in the ring, and Vince sat across from him.
- Vince slid the contract across the table to Flair and handed him a pen.
- Vince told Flair not to have second thoughts about signing.
- Flair stared Vince down, and looked out to the crowd.
- He then looked Vince in the eye and stood up, looking around at the sold-out crowd at The Scope.
- Vince stood up too, and told Flair not to listen to the people, and to instead listen to his conscience.
- Vince asked Flair to think about future generations of superstars, and he demanded that Flair sign the contract.
- Flair did indeed sit down, looked Vince in the eye and signed his first name.
- Vince demanded that Flair sign his last name, but all of a sudden, the sounds of broken glass were heard, and out came Stone Cold Steve Austin!
- The Texas Rattlesnake grabbed the microphone from Vince, and as Vince screamed at him, Austin just said, "What?"
- Austin said Vince was full of crap.
- He asked the crowd if they thought Flair should tear the contract to pieces and tell Vince and the nWo to go to hell, and they said Hell Yeah!
- Vince went to grab the contract, but Flair picked it up, punched Vince in the face, and ripped up the contract!
- Flair threw the torn pieces of the contract onto Vince's prone body, and he and Austin downed a celebratory beer as SmackDown! went off the air!
- Goodnight Everybody......
