Announcers: Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler
  1. KICKOFF: Vince McMahon (sporting a black eye) + Ric Flair.
    • Vince talks about {Flair vs McMahon} at Royal Rumble.
    • Vince shows a video package of 80s/90s Ric Flair highlights.
    • Vince admits that Flair has had one of the best (if not the best) wrestling career of all time.
    • Vince recaps Ric Flair journey to co-ownership of the WWF.
    • Vince recaps Ric Flair's challenge to Vince McMahon.
    • Vince recaps Ric Flair's attack on Vince at Smackdown! which caused his black eye.
    • Vince says that "In order to be the man, you gotta beat the man." but Vince says that he's already the man, and right now, he's gonna prove it.
    • Vince puts on a Ric Flair wig & a classic Ric Flair robe.
    • Vince mocks Flair struting around the ring.
    • Ric Flair's music hits and Flair comes to the ring to confront Mr McMahon.
    • Ric grabs the microphone from Vince.
    • Ric yells at Vince and demands that he remove the wig and robe.
    • Ric says I'M RIC FLAIR, AND YOU'RE NOT!
    • Vince motions to take the robe off but takes out a concealed weapon (pipe) and nails Ric in the forehead, busting him open.
    • Vince pumbles Ric and throws him out of the ring.
    • Vince throws Ric into the ringsteps, then the ringpost and all around the outside of the ring.
    • Vince throws Ric back into the ring, and leaves ringside.

  2. MATCH: Rob Van Dam vs Test.
    • Test brings a chair into the ring but RVD hits the Vandaminator.
    • RVD wins with the five-star frog splash.

  3. BACKSTAGE: Jonathan Coachman & Kurt Angle.
    • The Coach says that he is awaiting the arrival of Triple H.
    • Kurt Angle inturrupts and says Coach should interview someone who actually shows up on time.
    • Kurt says that he has a major announcement tonight.

  4. WWF NEW YORK: Trish Stratus + Terri.
    • Trish welcomes everybody to WWF NEW YORK but is inturrupted by Terri.
    • Terri challenges Trish to a wet-tshirt contest.
    • Trish accepts to the delight of Jerry The King Lawler.

  5. TAG TEAM MATCH: Palumbo & Gunn vs Scotty 2 Hotty & Albert.
    • Palumbo & Gunn win the match when Gunn hit the Famasser on Scotty.

  6. INTERVIEW: Sharmelle & Chris Jericho.
    • Jericho comments on how good it was to see Vince McMahon leave Ric Flair bloodied.
    • Jeircho says that Flair has booker him into a non-title match with Rikishi.
    • Jericho says that everybody wants to see him get the stinkface, but Jericho says that it won't happen.

  7. INTERVIEW: Michael Cole & Steve Austin.
    • Cole says that it's already been an incredible night tonight at Madison Square Garden.
    • Cole is inturrupted by Steve Austin.
    • Austin talks about Triple H, and how they both returned from career-ending injuries.
    • Austin announces his participation in the Royal Rumble, saying that he's gonna win it again.
    • Austin says he and Rock are going to open a can of whoopass on Booker T and Big Bossman.

  8. INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Edge vs Lance Storm.
    • A great technical match.
    • Edge wins following the Edgecution.
    • As Edge is celebrating on the ramp, William Regal comes out of nowhere and cracks Edge in the face with brass knucks.

  9. BACKSTAGE: Kurt Angle & Christian.
    • Kurt asks Christian what the big deal is about Triple H?
    • Kurt asks who saved the WWF at Survivor Series.
    • Christian answers YOU, Kurt Angle.
    • Kurt asks where Triple H was during the Invasion.
    • Christian says that he was probably home spinning U2 records.
    • Kurt says he hates that song "It's A Beautiful Day"
    • Kurt says that a beautiful day was when Kurt won a gold metel and when Kurt won the WWF Title (both times).
    • Kurt says that HHH was out for 8 months for a torn quadracept, Angle says he tears his quadracept all the time, he says he tore it this morning and he's still walking and jumping around.
    • Christian says that Kurt has to go ahead and make tonight, Kurt's "Personal Beautiful Day".

  10. TAG TEAM MATCH: Booker T & Big Bossman vs The Rock & Stone Cold.
    • After a hard-fought, entertaining match, Austin hits the stunner on Bossman.
    • Austin pins the Big Bossman for the WIN!
    • Austin & Rock drink some beers and celebrate together in the ring.

  11. NON-TITLE MATCH: Chris Jericho vs Rikishi.
    • Rikishi puts the stinkface on referee Nick Patrick.
    • Jericho quickly attacks.
    • Nick Patrick counts the THREE without looking at Rikishi's shoulders.

  12. BACKSTAGE: Torrie, Tajiri, Big Show & Kurt Angle.
    • Big Show talks about how Triple H raises the bar for everyone when he's around.
    • Kurt Angle enters and reminds them that Triple H made everyone's life miserable when he was around, for example, smashing everybody in the head with a sledgehammer.

  13. BACKSTAGE: Dudleyz, Spike & Tazz.
    • The Dudley Boyz bully their little brother, Spike.
    • Tazz comes to Spike's rescue.
    • Bubba Ray says that Tazz's problem is that he doesn't remember when he came from.
    • Tazz challenges the Dudleyz to a Tag Team Title match with hardcore rules.

  14. TAG TEAM TITLE HARDCORE MATCH: Dudleyz w/Stacy vs Spike/Tazz.
    • Bubba sprays Spike with a fire extinguisher.
    • Bubba smashes a trash can lid over Tazz's head.
    • The Dudleyz hit the Wassup Headbutt on Tazz.
    • DVon gets a table from under the ring and sets it up inside the ring.
    • Spike & Tazz fight back.
    • Spike tries the DudleyDog but Bubba reverses it.
    • Stacy gets up on the ring apron to distract Tazz, but she ends up distracting Bubba.
    • Spike hits the DudleyDog on Bubba through the table.
    • Spike pins his BIG brother to WIN THE TAG TEAM TITLES!!

  15. TAPED SEGMENT: Undertaker.
    • The Undertaker talks about the return of Triple H.
    • Taker says that the fans don't care about Triple H or his injury.
    • Taker announces his participation into the Royal Rumble.

  16. WET T-SHIRT CONTEST: Trish Stratus vs Terri (MC: Jerry Lawler)
    • The King sprays Terri with a supersoaker.
    • The King gets ready to spray Trish but Jazz enters the ring and attacks Trish.
    • Jazz hits Trish with a sick DDT.
    • The King chases Jazz out of the ring.

  17. IN THE RING: Triple H + Kurt Angle.
    • Triple H's music hits and he makes his way to the WWF ring for the first time in 8 months.
    • Triple H poses for the crowd for over five minutes.
    • Triple H reminds the audience who he is.... THE GAME!
    • Triple H enters his name into the list of Royal Rumble participants.
    • Suddenly Kurt Angle's music hits and Kurt Angle comes to the ring.
    • Kurt asks Triple H who the hell he thinks he is.
    • Kurt reminds everybody that he won an olympic gold medel with a broken neck, and triple H was out for 8 months with a torn quadracept.
    • Kurt announces that HE is entering the Royal Rumble, his FIRST EVER Royal Rumble.
    • Kurt reminds Triple H that last year's Royal Rumble featured Angle beating Triple H.
    • Triple H spears Kurt and beats him up.
    • Triple H hits the pedegree on Kurt Angle and stands over him.
    • Triple H leaves the ring and celebrates with the crowd from the ramp.
