IN THE RING: The New Breed (Elijah Burke & Marcus Cor Von & Matt Striker & Kevin Thrown & Ariel + C.M. Punk).. Elijah Burke said C.M. Punk made the decision to join the New Breed and effect the entire future of ECW.. C.M. Punk came out saying that he would keep his reasons to himself but it should be obvious why he joined.. Rob Van Dam said he hopes C.M. Punk thought this though because the ECW Originals will make him regrete it.. Rob Van Dam challenged Elijah Burke to a match and Burke said he would show how he can lead by example.. SQUASH MATCH: Gene Snitsky defeated Nunzio (Little Guido).. Editor's Note: Would it kill the WWE to let the Italian hero get over and give the fans something special? BACKSTAGE: Elijah Burke told C.M. Punk that if he's in the New Breed he is going to have to fall in line.. TAG MATCH: ECW Originals (Tommy Dreamer & Sandman) defeated The New Breed (Marcus Cor Von & Kevin Thorn).. IN THE RING: ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley + Santino Marella.. Bobby Lashley said he can't wait for Backlash and showed video of him helping Santino Marella on RAW last night.. Santino Marella came out with the Intercontinental title to a huge reception from the hometown Italian fans.. Joey Styles explained that he was born in Italy but trained to be a wrestler in Canada and was visiting Italy.. Santino Marella spoke Italian to the crowd and raised the IC belt above and thanked Lashley, Italy, and WWE.. BACKSTAGE: C.M. Punk & Marcus Cor Von & Kevin Thorn + Elijah Burke.. C.M. Punk was shown giving Marcus Cor Von & Kevin Thorn a pep talk while Elijah Burke watched in the background.. Elijah Burke tried to convey that he was the leader of the New Breed but C.M. Punk just turned and walked away.. MAIN EVENT: ECW Original Rob Van Dam defeated New Breed member Elijah Burke.. C.M. Punk slid a chair into the ring but it slid right past Elijah Burke and ended up in Rob Van Dam's hands.. Rob Van Dam threw the steel chair at Elijah Burke and then hit a five star frog splash to win the match! END OF SHOW.... Go Back To ECW History
