	The Central States promotion grew out of the Midwest Wrestling Association (NWA).. Orville Brown & George Simpson promoted the area until Bob Geigel came up from Amarillo and bought it in 1958.. Harley Race & Pat O'Connor eventually became partners in the company with Geigel (Heart Of America Sports).. Jim Crockett bought the promotion in 1986.. Bob Geigel bought it back months later and folded in 1988.. That main cities in the territory were Kansas City, Wichita, Des Moines, St Joseph, and Topeka..
