In the Beginning:

  • Randy Orton is the son of legendary wrestler “Cowboy” Bob Orton Jr. and grandson of Bob Orton Sr..
  • Randy Orton did a few shots as a referee with World Organized Wrestling, a promotion his uncle Barry O. worked for.
  • Randy Orton started out in St. Louis at the South Broadway Athletic Club for a promotion called Mid Missouri Wrestling Alliance.

Randy Ortons was U/A (Unauthorized Absence) on 2 occasions from the U.S. Marines once for 82 days making him a deserter and he received a dishonorable discharge.

  • ~~~Rico and Prototype initially won but Nidia informed the referee of their cheating and the match was restarted.
  • November 27, 2001: Randy Orton suffered a shoulder injury in a dark match at the WWF tapings against Brock Lesnar.
  • ~~~It is believed the injury is a separated shoulder as he had his MRI done, which means he’d be out three to six weeks.
  • ~~~If it is a rotator cuff tear, which was considered the worst case scenario, that could require surgery.
  • March 2002: Randy Orton was sent back to Ohio Valley Wrestling to sharpen his skills.

  • September 23, 2002 – RAW: Randy Orton jumps to RAW and defeated Steven Richards in his first match!
  • Randy Orton separated his shoulder during his two matches on RAW and consulted with a specialist in St. Louis this week.
  • October 14, 2002 – RAW: Randy Orton comes out and tells everyone that he suffered a shoulder injury and will be out for a few months.
  • ~~~The crowd turned on Orton chanting “Nah Nah Nah Hey Hey Hey Good bye”, to which Randy teases a heel turn on his return.
  • October 28, 2002 – RAW: Randy stays on TV with “Updates” on his rehabilitation (egotistical heel mode).
  • January 20, 2003 – RAW: Scott Steiner def Batista by disqualification when Ric Flair, Randy Orton, Batista and Triple H interfered and demolish Steiner.
  • February 3, 2003 – RAW: Batista and Randy Orton attack Goldust and thrown into an electrical box, shocking him unconscious!!
  • Randy Orton has multiple broken bones in his foot and a dislocated toe.
  • February 24, 2003 – RAW: Scott Steiner and Booker T defeated Batista and Randy Orton.
  • March 1, 2003 – Live Event: Randy Orton injures his ankle in a match with the Dudleyz and will miss some time.
  • March 17, 2003 – RAW: Triple H defeated Goldust in a “non-title” match after Randy Orton interfered from the crowd!
  • April 2003: Randy’s actual injuries were four different dislocation and three broken bones in his foot.

  • January 12, 2004 – RAW: Randy Orton defeated Rob Van Dam to retain the Intercontinental title in a GREAT match!
  • ~~~Randy Orton had sent a limo to Mick Foley’s house with a front row ticket, but Mick Foley failed to appear.
  • ~~~Randy Orton got busted open after ramming his head into the ring post, suffering a legitimate concussion.
  • January 19, 2004 – RAW: Randy Orton continues to insult and degrade Mick Foley through video packages calling him a coward.
  • January 25, 2004 – Royal Rumble: Mick Foley enters the Royal Rumble at #21 and eliminated Randy Orton and himself in the process.
  • January 26, 2004 – RAW: Mick Foley returns to RAW to engage in a very erie and scary confrontation with Randy Orton.
  • ~~~Mick Foley gave a speech about all his hard work, and requested that Randy Orton spit in his face again.
  • ~~~It all culminated into Mick Foley snapping and beating the hell out of Randy Orton to chants of “Foley! Foley! Foley!”.
  • February 2, 2004 – RAW: Randy Orton attacked Mick Foley and proclaimed “Make No Mistake, Mick. You are my BITCH!”
  • ~~~Later that night, Shawn Michaels defeated Randy Orton in a non-title match after interference from Mick Foley.
  • February 9, 2004 – RAW: Randy Orton beat Rob Van Dam and Booker T to retain the Intercontinental title, then RKOs Mick Foley outside of the ring!
  • February 16, 2004 – RAW: Randy Orton calls out Mick Foley for a fight, but is joined by Evolution in a lengthy beatdown on Foley!
  • March 1, 2004 – RAW: Randy Orton and Batista beat Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit when Michaels and Benoit start fighting!
  • ~~~Later that night, Mick Foley brings in The Rock to help him fight off Evolution (Randy Orton, Batista and Ric Flair).

  • August 15, 2004 – SummerSlam: Randy Orton defeated Chris Benoit to become the youngest WWE World heavyweight champion EVER!
  • August 16, 2004 – RAW: Randy Orton defeated Chris Benoit to retain the World heavyweight title with help from Evolution!
  • ~~~After the match, Evolution (Triple H, Ric Flair and Batista) turned on Randy Orton and left him in a pool of his own blood!
  • August 23, 2004 – RAW: Triple H calls out Randy Orton to hand over the World title, but Orton instead spits in HHH’s face!
  • August 30, 2004 – RAW: Eugene defeated Triple H in a “NO disqualification” match when Randy Orton interfered with a sledgehammer.
  • September 6, 2004 – RAW: Randy Orton defeated Kane to retain the World title after a Cage was lowered midway through the match!
  • ~~~After the match, Evolution and Kane tried to gang up on Randy Orton, who narrowly escaped by climbing the Cage.
  • September 12, 2004 – Unforgiven: Triple H defeated Randy Orton to recapture the World heavyweight title (for the 9th time).
  • September 13, 2004 – RAW: Randy Orton beat Evolution by disqualification in a 3-on-1 match (Shelton Benjamin and Chris Benoit made the save!)

  • September 27, 2004 – RAW: Randy Orton confronts Ric Flair about being remembered only for kissing Triple H’s ass.

  • March 7, 2005 – RAW: Randy Orton proposed match against Undertaker, and then delivers an RKO to the “Legend” Eric Bischoff.
  • March 14, 2005 – RAW: Randy Orton got some advice from the “Legendary” Jake Roberts – and then RKO’d him in the ring!
  • March 17, 2005 – SmackDown: Eric Bischoff and Theodore Long attended the contract signing between Undertaker and Randy Orton.
  • ~~~Randy Orton came out and slapped Undertaker accross the face, causing the lights to flicker and thunder over the speakers.
  • ~~~Randy Orton quickly bailed out of the ring in fear thus leaving the contract in the ring unsigned.
  • March 21, 2005 – RAW: Randy Orton cut a promo on the Undertaker and then turned heel giving Stacy Keibler an RKO!!!!

  • April 3, 2005 – Wrestlemania 21: The Undertaker defeated Randy Orton in an Interpromotional match despite Bob Orton’s interference.
  • April 4, 2005 – RAW: Batista defeated Randy Orton (after admitting shoulder injury) to retain the World heavyweight title.
  • April 2005: Randy Orton has shoulder surgery under Dr. James Andrews and will be out of action for six months.
  • May 16, 2005 – RAW: Randy Orton appeared on RAW to talk about the Draft Lottery but is interrupted by Mr. Vince McMahon!

  • June 16, 2005 – SmackDown: John Bradshaw Layfield defeated The Undertaker with help from the newly drafted Randy Orton!!!
  • ~~~Randy Orton yelled at The Undertaker saying that he better get used to getting RKO’d because the Legend Killer is on SD!.
  • June 23, 2005 – SmackDown: Randy Orton bragged about RKOing The Undertaker last week only to have the Undertaker show up!
  • ~~~Randy Orton bailed out, and retreated to the stage, where he was “struck by lightning” that came down from the ceiling.
  • July 28, 2005 – SmackDown: John Layfield defeated The Undertaker in a #1 Contenders match with help from Randy Orton!
  • ~~~The Undertaker had the match won when Randy Orton showed up and RKO’d Taker and JBL covered him for the win!
  • July 29, 2005 – OVW Six Flags: Randy Orton defeated Ken Doane by Disqualification (Doane retains TV title).
  • August 4, 2005 – SmackDown: Randy Orton challenged the Undertaker to a match at Summerslam and promised that he would win.
  • ~~~The Undertaker came up on the big screen and accepted the challenge and said Randy Orton will “Rest in Peace” at Summerslam.
  • August 11, 2005 – SmackDown: Randy Orton vs Kamala ended in a No Contest when an erie messege from the Undertaker played.
  • August 18, 2005 – SmackDown: Randy Orton defeated Chris Benoit with help from Orlando Jordan and an RKO!
  • ~~~After the match, the lights went out and Undertaker appeared in the ring and chokeslammed Randy Orton!

  • September 9, 2005 – SmackDown: The Ortons presented The Undertaker with $1,416 for his retirement fund but Lightning struck it!

  • ~~~Bob Orton backed a truck down to the ring containing a casket, when it opened, Undertaker found a wax replica of himself inside!
  • September 23, 2005 – SmackDown: Randy Orton and Bob Orton presented a funeral for Undertaker with the wax dummy in the casket.

  • ~~~Legacy attacked Shane and Stephanie – Orton was about to kick Stephanie in the head but Shane dove in front and took the bullet.
  • February 9, 2009 – RAW: The Undertaker defeated Randy Orton by disqualification after Legacy (Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase) interfered!
  • ~~~The members of Legacy triple-teamed the Undertaker until Shane McMahon showed up and gave DiBiase a coast-to-coast!
