• In August 2012, it was reported that Max Bauer had signed for WWE and would report to their developmental territory NXT Wrestling.
• Max bauer made his debut on October 24, 2012 on an NXT house show teaming with Corey Graves to defeat Ben Satterly and Trent Barretta.
• Max Bauer made his televised NXT debut on December 5, 2012 with the ring name Axl Keegan, in a loss to Bo Dallas.
• January 23, 2013 – NXT: Big E. Langston defeated Axl Keegan.
• April 10, 2013 – NXT: The Shield defeated Axl Keegan, Percy Watson and Scott Dawson.
• On June 26, 2013 late taping of NXT,Axl Keegan who was renamed to Mickey Keegan, returned to in-ring competition by losing to Bo Dallas once again.
