been a match to top this match yet, and there probably never will be.
In 1998 Shawn injured his back, at the time was thought to be the end of his
career, but 4 years
later Shawn made an emotionally return to RAW, and went on to have several
matches against Triple
H, and again injured his back, and but this time he was able to make a quick
return, and win his
3rd WWE Title against Triple H.

No one has been stripped of more titles without being pinned than Shawn Michaels.
The Rocker's phantom title reign is a good example, because years later they would be labelled former tag champs, yet they did not have to job the titles to any one AKA lose face.
The Diesel/HBK tag reign is another good example, as they were champs for a very long time, yet were never pinned, they forfeited the belts because they were fighting between themselves. HBK's World Title reign that ended with him 'losing his smile' is another perfect example of not having to put anyone over as champ....
Although I believe Shawn Michaels work in innovating gimmick matches to be amazing (Ladder, Hell in a Cell, Elimination Chamber), my problem comes from his adversity to letting anyone but Triple H pin him. After his Kane feud, I hope HBK finally takes the last step, and helps someone else's career.
