A Canadian pro-wrestling legend will be honored at the Pile O’ Bones Rumble on August 7th as Bob Leonard will be inducted into the HIW Hall of Fame by a member of the legendary Hart Family, Ross Hart!
With over 50 years of service to the professional wrestling business, there’s not much that the legendary Bob Leonard hasn’t seen or done, but his passion for the sport still burns.
AN accomplished photographer and writer, Leonard spent many years with Stampede Wrestling before landing a local promoting position with global wrestling giant, WWF (at the time). Bob is responsible for promoting what is quite possibly one of the biggest professional wrestling events ever to come to Regina, SK when 8000 fans packed the Brandt Centre to see Hulk Hogan wrestle “Macho Man” Randy Savage at a live WWF event.
Bob spent several years as the primary announcer for High Impact Wrestling, becoming the familiar voice that fans heard before and after each and every match. Anyone who attended HIW shows during that time will forever remember his booming voice and unique delivery. His incredible contributions to the pro-wrestling business are undeniable and we are very happy to honor him with an induction into the HIW Hall of Fame.
